Abstract

This research aims to find out the effectiveness of the Problem Solving learning model with Bruner Theory on students’ learning outcomes in the fraction material of 7th grade of SMP Negeri 2 Madapangga academic year 2020/2021. This research uses a quasi experiment type with the posttest only design with nonequivalent groups. The sampling technique in this research is cluster random sampling technique with class VII-A as the experimental class and class VII-B as the control class. In the experimental class, the Problem Solving learning model was applied with Bruner's Theory and the control class applied a conventional learning model. The instrument used is a learning outcome test (post-test). The quantity analysis was used t-test obtained that the Problem Solving learning model with Bruner’s theory is effective to increase the student results of 7th grade on fractions material in SMP Negeri 2 Madapangga academic year 2020/2021.

Abstract

This research aims to determinethe effect of this learning model guided inquiry by the activities and learning outcomes of students in class XI inclusion in mathematical. To achieve these objectivies, aquasi experimental research designis used with post-test only non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study were all class XI students of SMK Negeri Mataram for the 2019/2020 academic year. Number of students in this population are 294 scattered in the 11 class. Samples are selected with using purposive sampling technique and selected class XI DKV A as experimental class and XI T Graphic as the control class. The instrument used to obtain student activity data wasthe student activity observation sheet while the essay question were used to obtain data on student learning outcomes. Statistical analysis of the data was performed using the t test at an error level of 5%. The data obtained shows that the experimental class learning outcomes increased by 24,5 (46 to 70,5) while thecontrol class learning outcomes increased by 16 (47,2 to 63,2). Statistical analysis of student learning outcomes shows that (2,57 > 1,67). The results of the statistical analysis are supported by an increase in student activity at each meeting.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the level of mathematical literacy ability of class VIII MTsN 1 Mataram based on gender. The research is quantitative desciptive research which method are used to describe, explain various variabel in the study as expressed the documentary materials. The assessment system in this study uses 2 methods, namely mathematical literacy and analytical problem solving. Mathematical literacy has 6 (six) levels in measurement and consists of three aspects, namely content, context, and cognitive aspects, while for assessment using analytical problem solving there are 3 (three) levels, namely low, medium and high. The data collection technique used a questionnaire in the form of mathematical literacy test questions that had been approved by 3 validators. Based on the results of the research, the level of mathematical literacy skills, based on mathematical literacy female dominant at level 3 which means that students are able to apply the basic algorithm, formulate and carry out the procedure and can select and apply strategies to solve simple and the mathematical literacy skills of male students are dominant at level 2 which means that students are able to apply the basic algorithm, formulate and carry out the procedure. Based on analytical problem solving students' mathematical literacy skills are at low and medium levels where female mathematical literacy skills are higher compared to male. Bassed t-test 2 sampel independent mathematical literacy ability male and female doesn’t have a significant difference.

Abstract

This research aims to know about the increasing of students’ activities and achievement at grade VIII-F of SMP Negeri 9 Mataram academic year 2016/2017 in learning mathematics on straight-line equation topics with the implementation of Discovery Learning. Discovery Learning is a model for developing active student learning by finding themselves, investigating itself. The type of this research is classroom action research which was conducted in two cycles. Every cycle consists of planning, acting, observating, and reflecting. As each cycle consisting of two meetings. Data of students’ learning activities were obtained by observation and the students’ achievement data were obtained by a test at the end of each cycle. The result showed that the score of students’ activities on the first meeting of first cycle is 10,33, it is categorized quite active. While on the second meeting in the first cycle, the students’ activities score is 11,33 categorized high activity. Meanwhile, in the first meeting of second cycle, the students’ activities score is 13,34 categorized active. While on the second meeting in second cycle, the students’ activities score is 15,34 categorized very active. Based on that result, there is an increasing of students’ activities. Based on the analysis of evaluation results of students’ achievement, the average of the evaluation cycle I and II respectively is 82,84 and 88,00 with classical completeness of each cycle is 77,42% and 87,10%. By looking at the result obtained from cycle to another cycle, there is an increasing of students’ achievement. It can be conclude that the implementation of Discovery Learning model on straight-line equation topics can improve the students’ activities and achievement at grade VIII-F SMP Negeri 9 Mataram academic year 2016/2017.

Abstract

This service is based on the competency standard of statistical knowledge and the evaluation of teachers is still low, so teachers need socialization regarding the application of statistics to analyze data on evaluating student learning outcomes. According to Law No. 15 of 2005, the development of the teaching profession can be carried out by increasing scientific knowledge both in the field of teaching materials and in the field of pedagogy. The method used in this service activity is mentoring including lectures, questions, answers, and presentation assignments in face-to-face, and online forms. This service activity is arranged in four stages, of which one stage is carried out face-to-face and three stages are carried out online. Face-to-face activities are carried out using lecture and question-and-answer methods. while online activities are carried out with FGDs, questions and answers, and presentations. The expected outcome after this service is that teachers are proficient in using statistical application programs in analyzing valid and significant evaluation data on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Professional teachers should always try to improve their knowledge in the field of teaching matherials and pedagogics. The method used in this service activity is mentoring offline and online (including lectures, question-and-answer, assigntments, and presentations method). This service activity is arranged in four stages, where one stage is carried out online and three stages are carried out online. Offline activities are carried out using lecture and question-and-answer methods, while onine activities are carried out with FGD, question-and-answer, and presentations method. The expected output of this service activity is that the teachers are proficient in using statistical application programs in analyzing valid and significant evaluation data of students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

In the 2019 survey, 82.2% of teachers never participated in media training, especially learning media based on geogebra technology. Meanwhile, 92.8% of teachers stated that mathematics requires learning media. The low quality of education in NTB requires special attention from both the government and the private sector, so it is important to conduct technology-based learning media training in order to improve the quality of education, especially improving the quality of teachers. The training was carried out using offline and online methods for two days, 19 and 20 August 2021 at SMPN 16 Mataram. The training was attended by 22 participants from junior high school mathematics teachers in the city of Mataram. In the implementation of the training, an evaluation was carried out using questionnaires and observations. The conclusions from the results of the service were as follows: Geogebra training as a medium for learning mathematics for SMP teachers in the city of Mataram in 2021 received a very good response and was well received by the teachers. Geogebra training as a medium for learning mathematics for junior high school teachers in the city of Mataram in 2021 is very in line with what is expected by mathematics teachers in the City of Mataram and increases teacher competence in the context of applying technology in learning to develop technology-based mathematics learning media.
