Abstract

This study aims to look at differences in biology learning outcomes using role playing models and conventional methods (lectures, discussions, question and answer) of class X SMA Negeri Lubuk Linggau. This type of research is experimental research. The population in the study were all students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Linggau. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling technique, then the determination of the experimental class and control class was carried out by random method. Obtained class X.1 as the experimental class, and class X.2 as the control class. The research instrument was used in the form of test questions for cognitive aspects of student learning outcomes, and observation sheets for affective and psychomotor aspects of learning outcomes. Hypothesis testing was carried out by t-test. The results showed that the average score for biology learning outcomes for students using Role Playing was 74.70 and 66.80 with conventional methods. There is a significant difference at the 0.05% alpha level. The results of observations of student learning in the experimental class affective aspects 90.8 and psychomotor and 91.3, while in the control class affective aspects 64.8 and psychomotor 66.6. It can be concluded that the application of the Role Playing method in biology learning is better than conventional learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the community structure of phytoplankton in ex-gold mining ponds for fish farming in Nagari Muaro, Sijunjung District, Sijunjung Regency, West Sumatra. The method used is a descriptive survey. Purposive sampling was done by determining the location of the phytoplankton sampling. The results showed that there were three divisions of phytoplankton (Cyanophyta, Chlorophyta and Crysophyta) and 17 genera. The highest relative abundance (KR) was found in the Pediastrum genus of 22.9 with an average diversity index of 3.72, an evenness index of 0.72 and a dominance index of 0.16. The results of the measurement of physical factors, namely the average turbidity of 3.53 NTU, the average water temperature of 32oC and the average water pH of 6. The results of the measurement of the chemical factors of the average water are DO of water of 5.15 ppm, BOD = 1.77 ppm, COD = 26.45 ppm, CO2 = 18.29 ppm and measured levels of mercury (Hg) ranged from 0 – 0.05 ppm. In conclusion, the abundance of phytoplankton is in the low category with a moderate diversity index and the waters are classified as stable. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the video-assisted Problem-based learning (PBL) model on cognitive and psychomotor aspects of learning outcomes in the question-and-answer indicators in science learning for Class V students at SD Negeri 31 Payakumbuh. This type of research is an experiment with a "posttest-only control design". The population in this study were all fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 31 Payakumbuh for the 2022/2020 academic year. The sampling technique is Total Sampling. The research instrument was in the form of valid, reliable student science learning test questions, and student learning questionnaires on psychomotor aspects. Data on student learning outcomes were analyzed using the t-test at the 5% test level. The results showed that there was a significant effect of the Video Assisted Problem Based Learning Model on Science Learning Outcomes of Class V Students, in a statistical test t hit > t tab, namely 2.30 > 2.01. the average cognitive aspect of learning outcomes in the experimental class was 82.43 and in the control class 73.03. The science learning outcomes of students in the psychomotor aspect on the indicator asking the experimental class were 65.32% and the control was 59.80%, and the indicator answering the experimental class was 83.06% and the control was 75%. It can be concluded that the application of the video-assisted Problem-Based Learning model has an effect on the science learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 31 Payakumbuh in the 2022/2023 Academic Year. It is suggested that teachers who teach science in elementary schools can apply the video-assisted Problem-Based Learning model to different science materials to improve the learning process.

Abstract

Mollusca animals have a soft body, not segmented, most of the shell is made of calcium carbonate. Taxonomic identification is carried out to find out the types of Mollusca animals as well as for collections. This research aims to determine the types of Mollusca animals around Bungus Beach Padang. This type of research is descriptive with roaming method. The cruising method is carried out by tracing the beach as far as the tides are ± 1 km long and 8 meters wide. Molluscs were taken directly for three times, and tested the water with physical and chemical factor parameters. The results obtained from the identification of Mollusca species found in the form of shells consisting of two classes, namely the Bivalvia class and the Gastropod class. The total number of individuals is 202 individuals. The most commonly found molluscs are the class Bivalvia with 17 species. The most abundant species and always found in each repetition was Soletellina diphos with 29 individuals, at least Meretrix lyrata, Barbatia fusca with 1 individual. Class Gastropods found as many as 14 species. The species most commonly found was Cypraea vitellus with 15 individuals, the least found were Cypraea leviathan, Murex trapa, Bufonaria rana, Turbo setosus, Pomacea sp., Phenacolepas sp. amounted to 1 individual. Identification of the types of Mollusca animals can be identified based on the morphology of their shells and can also match the Mollusca images that have been obtained with the identification book. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the identification of the types of Mollusca animals can be known based on the morphology of their shells and can also match the Mollusca images that have been obtained with identification books. The results of the research are recommended for further researchers to find the types of Mollusca animals as a whole, especially on the beach.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the structure of zooplankton communities in former gold mining ponds for fish cultivation in Nagari Muaro, Sijunjung District, Sijunjung Regency, West Sumatra. The research method used is a descriptive survey. Determining the location for sampling zooplankton was carried out using purposive sampling. The research results showed that the overall abundance of zooplankton was found to be 18.2 ind/l, consisting of 4 phyla and several genera or types. The phyla found were, a) the Protozoa phylum with 2 genera, namely Astramoeba and the Arcella genus with an abundance of 3.2 ind/l; b) the Rotifera phylum consists of 7 genera, namely the genus Branchinus, Lycane, Keratella, Notholca, Trichoyria, Polymerurus, and the genus Habrotrocha with an abundance of 5.4 ind/l; c) phylum Crustaceae, 3 genera, namely Nauplius, Cyclops, and Daphnia with an abundance of 9.5 ind/l; d) the phylum Arthropoda has 1 genus, namely Chironomus with an abundance of 0.1 ind/l. The highest abundance was found in the phylum Crustaceae. The zooplankton diversity index at the three stations has an average value of 2.08, the evenness index has an average value of 0.83, and the zooplankton dominance index has an average value of 0.16. The results of measuring physical factors are the average turbidity of 3.53 NTU, the average water temperature is 32oC, and the average pH of water is 6. The results of measuring the average water chemical factors are water DO of 5.15 ppm, BOD of 1.77 ppm , COD was 26.45 ppm, CO2 levels were 18.29 ppm, and measured mercury (Hg) levels ranged from 0 – 0.03 ppm. Conclusion, based on the abundance of zooplankton found, the pond waters are classified as mesotrophic with a moderate level of fertility diversity. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pelaksanaan praktikum dengan masing-masing indikator dan efektivitas pelaksanaan praktikum di laboratorium dengan hasil belajar pada siswa kelas X MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Kota Sungai Penuh. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, dimana dalam penentuan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling, jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 40 siswa. Variabel penelitian adalah keefektifan pelaksanaan praktikum dan hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keseluruhan indikator adalah 76,48% dengan interpretasi efektif, indikator memperkuat pemahaman siswa 77,81%, menghasilkan sikap ilmiah 79,96%, pelatihan praktik praktikum 75,77%, pemanfaatan peralatan laboratorium secara rasional 78,90% kerja keterampilan keselamatan 82,49%, alokasi frekuensi dan waktu laboratorium 65,30%, dan kegiatan praktik akhir 75,15%,. Analisis korelasi dengan menggunakan SPSS 17.00 Product Moment diperoleh (y = 80,56 + 0,068x) r = 0,086 (? = 0,05) atau 8,6%. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang lemah antara variabel efektivitas praktik dengan hasil belajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan handout dengan teka-teki silang pada pembelajaran biologi materi global di SMP N 15 Padang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model 3-D Model yaitu define (definisi), design (desain), dan develop (pengembangan). Handout yang dikembangkan divalidasi oleh validator yang terdiri dari 2 dosen dan 1 guru, dan untuk kepraktisan dilakukan oleh 1 guru mata pelajaran IPA dan 31 siswa kelas VII SMP N 15 Padang. Instrumen pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada validator dan pratikator. Data penelitian ini merupakan data primer yang diperoleh dari angket validitas, kepraktisan dan hasil ulangan harian siswa, kemudian data dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil handout dengan tingkat validasi dosen dan guru sebesar 92,92% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Kepraktisan handout dari guru sebesar 92,06% dengan kriteria sangat praktis dan praktik handout dari siswa sebesar 90,78% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. sedangkan efektivitas penggunaan handout ini adalah 84,52. Kriteria bahan ajar berupa handout yang dilengkapi dengan teka-teki silang pada pembelajaran biologi materi pemanasan global sangat valid dan sangat praktis. Dalam artian handout yang dikembangkan mudah digunakan, bermanfaat dan waktu belajar menjadi lebih efisien.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemahaman konsep siswa tentang sistem organ pencernaan, mendeskripsikan pemahaman konsep siswa berdasarkan jenis kelamin dan hubungan pemahaman konsep siswa tentang sistem organ pencernaan dengan fasilitas pembelajaran serta motivasi orang tua dalam kelas XI IPA SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode sampling menurut Morgan & Krejcie, jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 110 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan angket melalui uji validasi dengan 12 item pernyataan kemudian dihitung dengan mencari rerata dari masing-masing indikator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata pemahaman konsep pada indikator makanan rata-rata 3,33, organ penyusun sistem pencernaan rata-rata 3,95, dan indikator gangguan dan gangguan sistem pencernaan rata-rata 3,61. Analisis korelasi menggunakan SPSS 16.00 Product Moment, diperoleh r = 0,01 (? = 0,05) untuk korelasi pemahaman konsep siswa dengan fasilitas belajar sedangkan analisis korelasi pemahaman konsep siswa dengan motivasi belajar diperoleh r = 0,008 (? = 0,05 ) menyimpulkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara pemahaman konsep siswa tentang sistem organ pencernaan dengan fasilitas belajar serta motivasi orang tua.

Abstract

his research is motivated by students who have difficulty in the online learning process is the low learning outcomes obtained from students. This study aims to analyze what factors influence the biology learning difficulties of students in class XI IPA at SMA Negeri 8 Padang during online learning and to determine the relationship between students' learning difficulties in biology through online learning and student biology learning outcomes. This research is descriptive research. The population of this research is class XI IPA which consists of 3 classes totaling 110 students. The research sample amounted to 33 students. The sampling technique is a random sampling technique with a sample proportion of 30%. The research data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and then a t-test to determine the correlation. The results showed that the highest score of the student learning difficulty factor was 2.81, namely the motivation and interest in student learning factors, and the lowest difficulty factor obtained a score of 2.44, namely social interaction. There is a relationship between students' learning difficulties in biology through online learning with biology learning outcomes with a value of r = 0.520; the coefficient of tcount value of 4.642 is greater than ttable of 2.040, so it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between learning difficulties in biology through online learning and student learning outcomes and there are suggestions for schools to be positive inputs in efforts to build and improve models. online/online learning and is also able to improve student learning and it is hoped that teachers and parents can recognize and observe online learning difficulties experienced by these students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze study habits and their relationship with biology learning outcomes for students of class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 8 Padang. This type of research is descriptive, with a total sample of 45 students in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The sampling technique was simple random sampling using a questionnaire. The results showed that the highest average study habits were habits in student preparation (28.82 ± 3.36), reading textbooks (23.84 ± 3.05) making notes and summaries (24.15 ± 3.14 ) repeating lessons (17.06 ± 3.04) facing e xa ms (23.60 ± 2.94) and completing assignments (16.35 ± 2.02). Study habits contribute to students' biology learning outcomes with a t count of 2,794. The relationship between study habits and learning outcomes in general shows a low relationship (r = 0.161). Furthermore, the relationship between variable habits showed a low relationship between taking notes and summaries (r = 0.216), with study preparation (r = 0.174), reading habits of textbooks (r = 0.128), repeating lessons (r = 0.103), in facing exams ( r = 0.102) and the relationship between habits in completing tasks with learning outcomes (r = 0.000) is in the very low category. From this research, it can be concluded that the relationship between study habits and learning outcomes in taking notes and summaries with learning outcomes is in the low category, while the relationship between learning preparation habits, reading textbooks, repeating lessons, facing exa ms and the relationship between habits in completing assignments is in the very low category.
