Abstract

The Wireless Acquisition Data System Simulator Design on Automatic Weather Monitoring Station is means of collecting, monitoring, and controlling some long distance subsystems. Automatic weather monitoring station is device for receiving data by a censor in use to gauge some weather parameters. In this Research we develop an automatic weather monitoring station design simulator by creating a subsystem in the form of prototype, using Digital Pin and Analog Pin from the microcontroller. Sensor characteristics are considered to measure several weather parameters. The principles of a system function are it will have to collect data from some subsystems to accommodate in a database, able to control and deliver instructions to the subsystem. The communication system makes the use of radio frequency by means of Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) method through Handy Talky (HT), picked out because advantages of lower power consumptions and long range of transmission. Additional advantages are, although catastrophes, data communication using HT allows to keep fast transmission. The transmission of data using HT media require a signal converter by which HT is operated by analogue signal (sound), while censor and microcontroller by digital signal and, therefore, Modulation and Demodulation techniques are necessary. The Modulation functions to convert digital signal into analogue, and just the opposite to the Demodulation, the Modulation and Demodulation processes is using IC TCM3105. The results of the trial suggest that system design has proper functions, the communication process in this system is two-ways communication, the process was fast working in either transmitter mode or receiver mode.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to build a laboratory asset position tracking system automatically by utilizing data acquisition from contactless based sensors, namely UHF RFID. In addition, this study also identifies the location of the asset position using the K-Nearest Neighbor method. This case study of tracking the position of assets was conducted at the Manufacturing Automation Engineering Department and Mechatronics, Bandung Manufacturing Polytechnic. The identification of the position of laboratory assets in this study uses the RSSI RFID asset tag as a predictor which will then be compared with 240 training data samples (training data). Testing of the RFID tag position detection system was carried out by means of three RFID readers detecting RFID tags simultaneously and producing an average classification accuracy of 64%.

Abstract

Objective this research is to automatically schedule student final assignments using genetic algorithms in the Automation Engineering Technology Study Program of the Manufacturing Polytechnic in Bandung. Genetic Algorithm (GA) is a heuristic method or a method of finding optimal values using the principles of evolution. GA is used as a solution search algorithm in this research. The solution was implemented into a program that can create a schedule automatically based on the limitations set by program users. Scheduling parameters that are focused on in this study are duplication or clash issues and category suitability between the final project and examiners. Based on these parameters the program can produce the optimal schedule with varying success rates depending on the ratio between the number of trial examiners and the number of examiners needed at one time, where a ratio above 2: 1 result in success above 90% for duplication cases, and the ratio is above 1.5: 1 for category conformance cases.

Abstract

Laboratorium Teknik Otomasi Manufaktur dan Mekatronika, Politeknik Manufaktur Bandung, memiliki berbagai alat penunjang untuk praktikum mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, jika aktivitas inventarisasi dilakukan secara manual maka satu laboratorium membutuhkan waktu hingga 60 menit untuk mendapatkan hasil laporannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan pengembangan sistem digitalisasi aktivitas inventarisasi peralatan praktikum pada setiap laboratorium dengan memanfaatkan teknologi industri 4.0. Metode waterfall digunakan sebagai metode perancangan sistem dan perangkat lunak. Keluaran dari penelitian ini adalah sistem digitalisasi inventaris dan evaluasi kinerja sistem digitalisasi inventaris dengan mengukur efisiensi proses dan arsip laporan inventaris. Hasil pengujian aplikasi digitalisasi inventaris laboratorium berbasis Android dengan QR (Quick Response) Code memiliki waktu proses inventarisasi kurang  lebih satu menit dan aplikasi dapat merekam laporan dari setiap inventaris yang dilakukan mahasiswa.

Abstract

The public health monitoring system at the Integrated Service Post (Posyandu) is a form of integrated health service carried out in a Puskesmas working area where the implementation is carried out in each Kelurahan or RW. It can be said that the system is not optimal because during the Covid-19 virus pandemic we have to minimize activities that are physical in nature, such as the use of health books which are currently being used less than optimally for the community because it allows for the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Then the monitoring system still uses email for sending data from Posyandu to Puskesmas, Puskesmas to the Health Office and Health Office to the Ministry of Health. This system is not profitable, because in addition to requiring a lot of time for data transmission, the data sent may fail or not be successfully sent. Solutions related to these problems can be solved by creating a multi-platform-based maternal and child health monitoring system, the monitoring system here can already be done in real time using a database so there is no need for manual data transmission such as via email. In just a few seconds, the data received by the Posyandu from the community will be monitored directly by the Puskesmas, the Health Service and the Ministry of Health. In addition, the data that was previously collected in the form of a book is now replaced with an application that can be opened via a smartphone which contains data along with children's development charts. So that the community and other health care parties can access children's development simply by using a smartphone. In addition, the data will also be managed very well and the data will be maintained when using the application when compared to using a book, the data can be damaged or lost.

Abstract

Aktivitas perkuliahan harian pada perguruan tinggi membutuhkan pemantuan terkait dengan penjaminan mutu lulusan. Sistem yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini adalah membangun Sistem Informasi Akademik Evaluasi Perkuliahan (SIAVA) yaitu perangkat lunak yang digunakan untuk membantu pengelola perguruan tinggi dalam memantau kegiatan perkuliahan. SIAVA mengolah data hasil perekaman dari kegiatan perkuliahan harian menjadi informasi strategis, hal ini diperlukan oleh Penjamin Mutu untuk melakukan pengawasan dan evaluasi pelaksanaan perkuliahan. SIAVA memiliki fasilitas standar dalam suatu sistem pengelolan basis data, dua fasilitas utama yang digunakan dalam SIAVA adalah perekaman data dan pembuatan laporan untuk pemantauan perkuliahan harian. SIAVA mengelola 14 fungsi atau parameter untuk memastikan perkuliahan berjalan sesuai rencana, fungsi tersebut diantaranya menghitung rasio jumlah jam perkuliahan; menampilkan besar simpangan yang terjadi antara materi pengajaran dengan RAP (rencana pengajaran); menghitung simpangan kehadiran dosen dari jadwal; menampilkan rasio kehadiran mahasiswa; menampilkan simpangan waktu pelaksanaan ujian dengan jadwal; menampilkan simpangan pengumpulan nilai ujian dari jadwal; menghitung rasio pemakaian laboratorium dan komputer. Perancangan SIAVA menggunakan pendekatan System Life Cycle (SLC), yaitu penerapan pendekatan sistem untuk pengembangan sistem atau subsistem informasi berbasis komputer. Target luaran penelitian adalah menghasilkan produk teknologi tepat guna sebagai produk inovasi untuk mengolah data akademik menjadi informasi strategis untuk pemantauan perkuliahan harian.

Abstract

Pariwisata di suatu daerah merupakan salah satu penggerak ekonomi. Situ Cileunca merupakan suatu danau di daerah Pangalengan yang dikenal sebagai tempat wisata. Ditegah danau tersebut terdapat sebuah kampung yang disebut Kampung Cibuluh. Sebagai tempat wisata, Kampung Cibuluh memiliki keterbatasan fasilitas berupa penerangan dan peta informasi lokasi wisata. Melalui kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) dalam mengambil peran tridarma perguruan tinggi yaitu pengabdian pada masyarakat, Mahasiswa Politeknik Manufaktur Bandung melakukan rencana pembuatan alat untuk menerangi jalan umum dan peta lokasi berupa sign system di sekitar kampung Cibuluh. Dilakukan analisis berdasarkan survei terhadap alat penerangan jalan secara umum dan penunjuk lokasi, lalu hasilnya dibuat desain rancangan dari kedua alat yang akan dibuat. Setelah itu dilakukan pembuatan dan pemasangan kedua alat tersebut. Setelah dilakukan uji coba, baik penerangan jalan maupun peta lokasi wisata dapat berfungsi dengan baik. Akhirnya penerangan jalan dan peta lokasi berupa sign system di Kampung Cibuluh Situ Cileunca Pangalengan dapat dipasang dan dirasakan manfaatnya oleh masyarakat maupun wisatawan di sekitar Situ Cileunca, Desa Cibuluh.
