Abstract

This paper reports the result of a study which aims to argue the previous studies which report that listening through song can help the students to improve the listening comprehension. Listening is one of four integrated skills of learning English which become the most difficult skill for the students. This paper investigates the students’ difficulties in doing listening activity by using song. The students here represent the students of Junior High school, especially private school in remote area. The problems which are mostly and commonly faced by the students while listening are explained further in this paper. As the result, the researcher analyzes the problems may impede the students’ to do the exercises well. Moreover, this paper also gives suggestion which may help the teacher to overcome the students’ problem.

Abstract

Various promotional steps have been taken by BSI KCP Mojokerto Mojopahit 2 in introducing Hajj savings products to the public. However, the results are still not as expected. For this reason, this study was conducted to determine whether promotion and product quality affect customer interest in using Indonesian Hajj savings products. This study uses a quantitative method using a questionnaire as a data instrument. Respondents from this questionnaire were 65 respondents. The collected data was processed using SPSS 28. The results of this study indicate that promotion has a significant effect on customer interest with a value of tcount (2,932) > ttable (1,998) and a significance value of 0,005 < 0,05. 2). Product quality has a significant effect on customer interest with tcount (2.913) > ttable (1.998) and a significance value of 0.005 <0.05. 3). Promotion and Product Quality have a significant effect on customer interest with the results of the f (simultaneous) test showing that the significance value is 0.003 <0.05 and the fcount is 6.464 > ttable 3.15.

Abstract

The river problem faced by Mojosarirejo village, specifically in Pudo, is a problem for the last five years that has not been resolved properly. Rivers with lots of rubbish disrupt the irrigation process of rice fields. So it is necessary to carry out various analyzes to solve this problem. The method used is PAR, which includes several tools that are the focus of the discussion in this article, namely mapping, transectural, ranking, historical tracing, trend and change, and program strategy analysis. This Community service aims to facilitate community problems (in managing waste around rivers) which are obtained from the community and resolved by the community. With several analyzes and PAR methods used, program results were obtained consisting of four elements. First, there is cleaning of the river environment and education about waste management. Second, the existence of institutions or organizations and policies in waste management. Third, there is infrastructure such as trash cans as TPS. Fourth, there is literacy insight for the public regarding waste decomposition in the form of educational boards. The suggestion in this research is that the community can carry out the four programs initiated and have larger land as a landfill.
