Abstract

The family environment has an important role in supporting children's development, especially in the initial education provided by parents. Based on Vygotsky's sociocultural theory, children's development is influenced by social interactions and the culture around them, making learning a social process. This research aims to describe the role of the family in early childhood learning in Talunpring Hamlet, Lamongan Regency. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. Informants were determined using purposive sampling, consisting of 5 key informants and 2 supporters. Data validity is carried out through extended observations, increased persistence, and triangulation. Data analysis is carried out through reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the family has played a role as a guide and motivator, especially in learning through play and developing character values, even though the approach used is still simple. However, families do not fully understand the principles of learning that are oriented towards child development, so the approach applied is not appropriate to the child's development stage. Apart from that, the role of the family as a facilitator in providing learning facilities and resources at home is still limited

Abstract

The training program is an activity that serves to enhance the hard skills of participants, including those who are physically fit and those with disabilities. The improvement in hard skills among training participants is intended as preparation for entering the workforce. The hard skill enhancement provided to participants with disabilities in this training program focuses on servicing fuel-injected motorcycles, including managing tools, replacing drive chains, assembling and disassembling body covers, and maintaining electrical instruments (signals and lighting). Many participants with disabilities aspire to open their own workshops after participating in this fuel-injected motorcycle servicing training. This has led the researcher to investigate further the relationship between the fuel-injected motorcycle servicing training program and the improvement of hard skills among participants in the automotive department at the Jember Vocational Training Center, specifically in the two-wheeled automotive field. This study is correlational research with a quantitative approach, using a purposive area selection at the Jember Vocational Training Center. Data collection methods included questionnaires and documentation, with a total population sampling technique resulting in 15 respondents. Data were analyzed using rank-order correlation techniques. The results of this study, calculated using SPSS v25, show that the calculated correlation coefficient is greater than the table value, indicating a strong relationship between the fuel-injected motorcycle servicing training program and the improvement of hard skills in the two-wheeled automotive field. The conclusion of this study is that the alternative hypothesis is accepted, and the null hypothesis is rejected, as the correlation test between the two variables indicates a relationship. The researcher suggests that future studies should further explore relationships beyond the two-wheeled automotive field to enhance the connections that can be gained in two-wheeled automotive training.Keywords: Training program, hard skill improvement, people with disabilities.

Abstract

Heutagogy-based training management emphasizes learner autonomy, adaptability, and self-motivation"”making it especially relevant for adult learners in non-formal educational settings. This study explores how self-determined learning is implemented in a heutagogical framework at the Course and Training Institute (LKP) in Jember Regency. Guided by four core principles"”self-efficacy, self-determination, self-directed learning, and self-regulated learning"”heutagogy enables participants to engage more meaningfully with learning content, develop real-world competencies, and cultivate lifelong learning skills. Using a qualitative approach, this research employed observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies to gain a comprehensive understanding of the training experience. The study was conducted at LKP in Sumbersari District, selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis followed an interactive model consisting of data collection, reduction, display, and verification. Data validity was ensured through prolonged engagement, persistent observation, and triangulation of sources and methods. The findings show that participants demonstrate strong autonomy in determining their learning goals and strategies, competence through hands-on practice and feedback, and relatedness through collaborative peer interaction. These findings reinforce the importance of heutagogy-based training in promoting independent, motivated, and socially connected adult learners.

Abstract

Marginalized groups are identified as low-income communities facing functional limitations, particularly in creating sustainable practical entrepreneurship. The Berlian Community at PKBM Kak Seto plays an active role in developing entrepreneurial skills among marginalized children as a form of social intervention in South Tangerang. This study aims to describe talent and project classes in strengthening entrepreneurial skills within the Berlian Community at PKBM Kak Seto, South Tangerang. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques consist of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification or conclusion drawing. Data validity techniques include prolonged participation, persistent observation, and triangulation. The research findings reveal three key phases: in the choosing project topic stage, participants are able to design food product strategies and understand entrepreneurial values; in the designing project plan stage, they develop a strong foundation for building an effective entrepreneurial mindset; and in the finishing the project stage, participants demonstrate adaptability to future market dynamics. In conclusion, project-based learning has successfully facilitated participants’ gradual self-improvement, although more intensive guidance is required to maximize the reinforcement of their entrepreneurial skills

Abstract

The problems faced by families today are not far from the busy work of parents. Workaholic is a term for working or workaholic parents. Because their busy lives result in parents lacking time to nurture, educate and guide children so that parents entrust children. This study aims to describe the impact of workaholic parenting on early childhood social-emotional development in Daycare Yasmin Laboratory School. The research method uses qualitative descriptively. The results showed that two parenting styles that occurred in the Daycare Yasmin Laboratory School were democratic parenting and authoritarian parenting. The impact of democratic parenting on social-emotional development is that children easily get along with their friends, have high self-confidence, have high curiosity, are able to work well together, are quick to respond, and have a polite attitude. While the impact of authoritarian parenting on social emotional development is that children are less able to appreciate, less able to get along with friends, and difficult to adjust in social situations.

Abstract

Pelatihan Tutor pada PKBM Homeschooling HSPG Jember dalam Pemanfaatan Mini Modul Board Game Berbasis Literasi Sains bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah literasi sains yang rendah di kalangan peserta didik program kesetaraan serta keterbatasan tutor dalam menerapkan metode pembelajaran inovatif. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman tutor tentang inovasi bahan ajar, pelatihan intensif tentang penggunaan mini modul. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa tutor mendapatkan pengalaman langsung dalam menerapkan strategi yang telah dipelajari melalui simulasi dan praktik. Board Game yang dikembangkan adalah "EcoSaver: The Food Waste Adventure" dan "Eco-Wonders: Menjelajahi Lingkungan Ciptaan Allah", yang bertujuan untuk mengenalkan konsep lingkungan sebagai ciptaan Allah SWT dan mendorong pemahaman dasar tentang pentingnya merawat alam. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan tutor dalam mengintegrasikan media interaktif untuk pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan menyenangkan.

Abstract

The implementation of training programs often does not match the needs of the world of work, this is due to the lack of link and match to industry needs. Therefore, a partnership is needed between training institutions and the business world and the industrial world as labor users, as one of the training agencies that establish partnerships with the business world and the industrial world is the UPT Mojokerto Job Training Center. To create a strategic partnership so as to be able to prepare a competent and qualified workforce, BLK establishes a communication forum between training institutions and industry. The purpose of this study is to identify and describe the partnership between BLK and the industrial world (DUDI) in improving the competence of training participants. This research method describes the partnership carried out by the Mojokerto BLK in the form of a partnership and the partnership implementation process. Each partnership carried out produces several forms and processes for implementing partnerships in order to improve the competence of the trainees, namely knowledge, skills and work attitudes.

Abstract

Tingginya angka pengangguran lulusan pendidikan formal mencerminkan rendahnya keterampilan vokasional dan kesiapan kerja yang dimiliki oleh sumber daya manusia di wilayah Kabupaten Nganjuk. Situasi ini menekankan perlunya pendidikan alternatif yang berfokus pada pengembangan kecakapan hidup, seperti yang ditawarkan oleh Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM). Pelaksanaan pendidikan kecakapan hidup tidak dapat sepenuhnya mengandalkan kekuatan internal seperti pada pengelola dan tutor PKBM saja, dukungan eksternal sangat penting untuk menjamin keberhasilan dan keberlanjutan program. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemitraan dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan life skill di PKBM Al Farisi Kabupaten Nganjuk. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Penentuan lokasi penelitian menggunakan purposive area dan Penentuan informan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PKBM Al Farisi dalam pelaksanaan program lifeskill pengembangannya dilakukan secara kolaboratif bersama mitra. Mitra berkontribusi dalam bentuk sumber daya manusia (tutor), materi pelatihan, dan dukungan sarana prasarana dalam pelaksanaan program. Peningkatan kualitas tercermin dari proses pembelajaran yang tidak hanya bersifat teoritis, tetapi juga menekankan partisipasi aktif dalam pelatihan keterampilan secara praktis. Selain itu, media sosial dimanfaatkan untuk memperluas jaringan program melalui promosi dan publikasi. Pendidikan life skill yang dilaksanakan terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi akademik dan vokasional peserta didik, sehingga mereka lebih siap memasuki dunia kerja atau berwirausaha.

Abstract

UMKM Mekar Jaya adalah industri rumahan yang bergerak dalam produksi makanan ringan berupa stik dan keripik, memanfaatkan bahan baku lokal seperti daun kelor, daun luntas, dan seledri. Proses berdirinya UMKM Mekar Jaya didasari oleh kelemahan perekonomian rumah tangga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi atau kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menggambarkan proses pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui 3 aspek. Aspek pertama yaitu pengembangan sumber daya manusia dengan memberikan pelatihan, pengetahuan, dan motivasi yang diperlukan untuk mengelola bisnis dan meningkatkan kemampuan manajerial pelaku UMKM dalam mengelola usaha secara efektif. Aspek kedua pengembangan kelembagaan yang berfokus pada pemasaran, permodalan dan kelembagaan. Proses pemasaran yang dilakukan merupakan strategi untuk meningkatkan keuntungan dan menjalin hubungan dalam kehidupan sosial. Terakhir, aspek pengembangan jaringan dan kemitraan, yang melibatkan kerja sama antara dua pihak dengan hak dan tanggung jawab yang setara dan saling menguntungkan. Kemitraan antar pelaku usaha didasarkan pada kebutuhan bersama, saling ketergantungan, dan saling menguntungkan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah dalam UMKM Mekar Jaya Mojorejo telah dilaksanakan pemberdayaan masyarakat guna melepaskan diri dari kemiskinan dan keterbelakangan serta mengembangkan usaha lokal pada Desa Mojorejo.

Abstract

Desa Suco saat ini memiliki banyak kandang domba yang dimiliki oleh perorangan. Namun, darijumlah kandang yang ada, hanya sebagian kecil kandang yang memiliki pemilik yang dapat mengolahkotoran domba menjadi pupuk organik dan kemudian dijual ke luar desa jika ada pesanan. Namun,jika tidak ada pesanan, kotoran domba akan dibuang di belakang kandang. Hal ini menunjukkanbahwa pemahaman masyarakat masih kurang dalam menjaga kebersihan lingkungan sekitar. Metodepenelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihanpengolahan kotoran domba memberikan dampak bagi masyarakat seperti peningkatan pengetahuan,keterampilan dan perubahan sikap dan dampak pelatihan terhadap keberdayaan masyarakat meliputikesadaran dan keinginan untuk berubah, kemampuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas untukmendapatkan akses, kemampuan untuk menghadapi hambatan dan kemampuan untuk bekerja samadan kesetiakawanan. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa masyarakat telah mengalamiperubahan cara pandang terhadap kotoran domba, dari yang awalnya merupakan sesuatu yang biasasaja menjadi suatu sumber daya yang memiliki nilai ekonomi dan memberikan manfaat nyata bagimasyarakat.
