Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of skipping exercises on improving cardiovascular endurance among running athletes in Bone Bolango Regency. The research employs a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest approach. The study involved nine athletic athletes as participants, who were subjected to skipping exercises over a specified training period. The cardiovascular endurance of the athletes was measured using the Bleep Test before and after the intervention. Data analysis included normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests to determine the statistical significance of the results. The findings indicate a significant improvement in the athletes' cardiovascular endurance, as demonstrated by increased VO₂ max values after the skipping exercise program. The t-test results showed that skipping exercises have a statistically significant impact on cardiovascular endurance (Tcount = 23.263 Ttable = 2.306, P-Value = 0.00 0.05). These results suggest that skipping exercises can serve as an effective and practical training method to enhance cardiovascular endurance in running athletes.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to compare two variations of the skipping training method, namely basic foot skipping and alternating foot skipping. The quasi-experimental research method was used in this study and is quantitative. The instrument used in this study was the Bleep Test. The population in this study was 18 athletes who were the entire sample. The population in this study were athletic athletes in the running category in Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province. As a result, both training methods contributed to increasing the cardiovascular endurance of athletes, with the Alternating Foot Skipping group showing a greater increase to the Very Good category compared to Basic Skipping. However, based on statistical tests, there is insufficient evidence to state that one exercise is more effective than the other in increasing cardiovascular endurance. This study shows that both variations of training can be applied in training programs for running athletes, but the choice of training should be adjusted to the preferences and specific goals of the athlete to achieve optimal results in order to also target the dominant things for the running number

Abstract

Pain is still the main problem for patients being treated in the treatment room. To overcome pain, analgesic drugs are often given. Even though the first step to help reduce pain can be to use non-pharmacological therapy. This study aims to see effect of non pharmacological therapy in reducing patient pain levels. The type of research is a quasi experiment with a one-group pre-test and post-test design approach. Sampling using accidental sampling technique over a period of 1 month obtained 50 respondents who matched the characteristics of the respondents in the research. Overall non- pharmacological therapy (beson relaxation, murotal, guide imagery, zikr, warm compresses, and hypnosis techniques) can reduce pain intensity in respondents who experience pain. Pain management in patients does not always involve immediate administration of medication. Non-pharmacological measures must always be prioritized to treat pain. Non-pharmacological therapy has been proven to be able to overcome or reduce pain levels.
