Abstract

This research discusses Energy Audit at SMKN 3 Kuningan with the objective of evaluating the energy consumption intensity (IKE) in the buildings of SMKN 3 Kuningan. The methodology applied in this research involves measuring energy consumption through an energy audit and evaluating the measurement results based on IKE. The results obtained from data processing show that the total electrical energy consumption of the SMKN 3 Kuningan buildings is 112,613.11 kWh/year. Electrical energy consumption in air-conditioned rooms accounts for 80% of the total energy consumption, with electrical energy usage of 7,473 kWh/month, while non-air-conditioned rooms account for 20% of the total energy consumption, with an energy usage of 1,854 kWh/month. The calculated IKE value for air-conditioned rooms in SMKN 3 Kuningan buildings is 1.88 kWh/m²/month. Therefore, the air-conditioned rooms of SMKN 3 Kuningan buildings fall into the very efficient category as the IKE value is < 8.5 kWh/m²/month. The calculated IKE value for the non-air-conditioned rooms in SMKN 3 Kuningan buildings is 0.25 kWh/m²/month. Thus, the non-air-conditioned rooms of SMKN 3 Kuningan buildings fall into the very efficient category as the IKE value is < 3.4 kWh/m²/month. Both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned rooms in the SMKN 3 Kuningan buildings meet the criteria for very efficient energy consumption intensity. Nevertheless, further research on energy saving opportunities can still be conducted to minimize electricity consumption costs at SMKN 3 Kuningan.

Abstract

Setiamulya Village is one of the villages that has a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with the Faculty of Engineering, Siliwangi University. Through PKS, the Faculty of Engineering, Siliwangi University is committed to developing and overcoming problems in society through knowledge developed on campus. The Waste Bank is one of the solutions for the community in Setiamulya Village to overcome the waste problem that occurs in the environment. In its implementation so far, the Setiamulya Village waste bank has carried out the process of separating and storing recyclable waste for further distribution to parties who will recycle the waste. However, due to limitations, the organic waste in the waste bank cannot be utilized. so accumulation still often occurs. With this community service community partnership program, the Setiamulya Village waste bank community group will be provided with knowledge and facilities for processing organic waste through maggot cultivation. So that the organic waste in the waste bank can increase its economic value.

Abstract

This study investigates speed control of brushless DC (BLDC) motors using a synchronous machine method and Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) variations based on IoT. A three-phase inverter controlled by an STM32 microcontroller was used to drive the BLDC motor. Speed control was implemented by adjusting the inverter frequency based on the synchronous machine principle, while PWM duty cycle was varied to regulate the input voltage. An IoT-based system using a smartphone app allowed remote speed settings. Experimental results showed that the synchronous machine method could effectively control BLDC motor speed, with frequency changes linearly affecting inverter output voltage. Varying PWM duty cycles impacted the voltage required to achieve target speeds, with higher duty cycles requiring lower voltages. The control system achieved speed accuracies within 3% of setpoints across different duty cycles. This approach demonstrates the feasibility of applying synchronous machine principles for BLDC motor control with IoT integration.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract—This study discusses the implementation of trajectory tracking on a differential drive mobile robot using the odometry method. The system was designed by utilizing rotary encoders to estimate the robot’s position and a proportional controller to regulate movement toward the target point. Experiments were carried out on multi-point trajectories, namely three-way and four-way paths, under two different surface conditions: flat and textured fields. The results showed that the robot was able to follow the predetermined path with a relatively high level of accuracy, especially on flat surfaces. However, on textured paths, the accuracy decreased due to wheel slip and disturbances in encoder readings. The comparison between both conditions emphasizes that surface characteristics have a significant influence on the performance of odometry-based trajectory tracking.
