Abstract

Semester Learning Plans (RPS) oriented toward learning outcomes often overlook the development of students' character. In the context of higher education, the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach offers a solution by emphasizing clear and measurable learning outcomes, while the character values of Mpu Kuturan can reinforce students' moral and ethical dimensions. This study aims to develop an OBE-based RPS integrated with Mpu Kuturan’s character values to enhance the quality of higher education. This research adopts a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). Data were collected through document analysis, interviews with lecturers, and classroom observations. The research subjects included subject matter experts, policy administrators, teaching practitioners (lecturers), and postgraduate students in Hindu Religious Education. The instruments used included questionnaires, and data were analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The findings indicate that developing an OBE-based RPS integrated with Mpu Kuturan’s character values is highly feasible for implementation in the Master’s Program of Hindu Religious Education. The developed RPS not only enhances curriculum relevance but also strengthens students' commitment to academic ethics and increases their engagement in learning. Thus, this approach can serve as an innovative model for designing higher education curricula based on character values and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the transformation of Hindu religious teachings in fostering intellectual, moral, and spiritual balance among students at UWP Vidya Wisata Kubutambahan. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, documentation, and focused group discussions with subjects including students, teachers, the principal, and Hindu religious education program managers. The findings indicate that the integration of Hindu religious values into the school schedule at UWP Vidya Wisata Kubutambahan is implemented through specific Hindu religious subjects, the application of values in other subjects, and extracurricular activities. Teachers play a crucial role in this transformation process through training and a holistic approach that combines cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. The impact of integrating Hindu religious values is reflected in students' increased intellectual understanding of Hindu teachings, the strengthening of moral values such as honesty and responsibility, and spiritual balance characterized by heightened spiritual awareness and stress management abilities. However, the research also identifies challenges such as resistance to change, limited resources, and diverse student backgrounds that affect program implementation. Based on these findings, it is recommended to continue developing a curriculum that integrates Hindu values more comprehensively, enhance teacher training, and provide more supportive resources and facilities. This is expected to make the transformation of Hindu religious teachings more effective in building intellectual, moral, and spiritual balance among students at UWP Vidya Wisata Kubutambahan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keberadaan tradisi Sewon-Sewon di Desa Sidomulyo, Kecamatan Pronojiwo, Kabupaten Lumajang, yang masih bertahan di tengah arus modernisasi. Tradisi yang dilaksanakan seribu hari setelah kematian seseorang ini bukan sekadar ritual adat, tetapi sarat makna spiritual, khususnya dalam penguatan nilai sradha (keyakinan) dan bakti (pengabdian) masyarakat Hindu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan eksistensi tradisi Sewon-Sewon dalam kehidupan masyarakat Desa Sidomulyo, (2) menganalisis proses pelaksanaannya mulai dari tahap penentuan hari baik hingga prosesi puncak, dan (3) mengidentifikasi implikasi tradisi ini terhadap penguatan nilai sradha dan bakti dalam perspektif Pendidikan Agama Hindu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi fenomenologi. Data diperoleh melalui observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam dengan tokoh adat, tokoh agama, sesepuh desa, serta masyarakat yang terlibat, serta dokumentasi dan studi kepustakaan. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman, yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan, dengan uji keabsahan data melalui triangulasi sumber dan metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) tradisi Sewon-Sewon tetap eksis meskipun menghadapi tantangan modernisasi, dengan bentuk pelaksanaan yang lebih sederhana namun tetap mempertahankan makna spiritual; (2) proses pelaksanaan tradisi meliputi tahapan perhitungan hari baik, persiapan sesaji, penyembelihan hewan, pemasangan batu nisan (ngijing), serta doa bersama (pujapitara dan slametan); (3) tradisi ini memiliki implikasi penting bagi masyarakat Hindu, karena mencerminkan penerapan Tri Kerangka Dasar Agama Hindu: Tattwa melalui Panca Sradha, Susila melalui Tri Kaya Parisudha, dan Acara melalui Panca Yadnya. Selain sebagai bentuk penghormatan kepada leluhur, tradisi ini juga berfungsi memperkuat solidaritas sosial, menjaga harmoni masyarakat, serta menanamkan nilai pendidikan spiritual kepada generasi muda. Dengan demikian, pelestarian tradisi Sewon-Sewon memiliki peran strategis dalam menjaga keseimbangan antara warisan budaya lokal dan pendidikan agama Hindu di era modern.

Abstract

AbstractThis study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted during teaching practice activities over a period of three months in the odd semester (Block 1), from July to September 2024, with the researcher acting as the teacher implementing the learning process. The study aimed to improve students’ learning outcomes in Hindu Religious Education across the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains through the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model. The research subjects consisted of 22 students of Phase F/Grade XI TSM 3 at SMKN 3 Singaraja. The research was carried out in two cycles, each comprising the stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted descriptively by examining the mean scores and the percentage of learning mastery.The results indicated an improvement in students’ learning outcomes in the cognitive domain. In the pre-cycle stage, the average score was 50 with a mastery percentage of 23%. This increased in Cycle I to an average score of 56 with 45% mastery, and further improved significantly in Cycle II to an average score of 80.6 with a mastery percentage of 91%. In the affective domain, students’ learning outcomes in the pre-cycle were categorized as low, with an average score of 1.75. In Cycle I, the score increased to 2.1 in the fair category, and in Cycle II it improved to 3.0 in the good category. This improvement indicates the development of students’ attitudes, activeness, and participation in the learning process. In the psychomotor domain, the pre-cycle results were categorized as low, with an average score of 1.58. In Cycle I, the score increased to 2.7 in the good category, and in Cycle II it reached 3.5 in the very good category. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model is effective in improving learning outcomes in Hindu Religious Education for Grade XI TSM 3 students of SMKN 3 Singaraja across the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar Pendidikan Agama Hindu bagi siswa kelas 1 di SMK Negeri 3 Singaraja, meliputi ranah kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Latar belakang penelitian adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa karena kurangnya inovasi dalam strategi pengajaran, yang mengakibatkan siswa pasif kurang termotivasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi eksperimental. Sampel dipilih secara acak dari 21 kelas sebelas, dengan kelas XI TSM 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI TSM 1 sebagai kelas kontrol, masing-masing terdiri dari 24 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi (untuk aspek afektif dan psikomotorik), dokumentasi, serta pretest dan posttest (untuk aspek kognitif), yang telah diuji validitas, reliabilitas, daya pembeda, dan tingkat kesulitan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa model CTL efektif. meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran secara komprehensif. Uji t Sampel Independen menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Kelas eksperimental menunjukkan peningkatan tidak hanya pada aspek kognitif tetapi juga pada sikap (afektif) dan keterampilan (psikomotorik) melalui keterlibatan aktif dalam pembelajaran kontekstual. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum on the learning outcomes of ninth-grade students in Hindu Religious Education at SMP Negeri 3 Singaraja. This research is motivated by the fact that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in practice still faces various challenges, even though the school has fully implemented the curriculum at all grade levels. This study employs a quantitative approach. The sample consists of 47 ninth-grade students who are divided into an experimental class (24 students) and a control class (23 students). The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum is carried out through student-centered learning, including the application of the Discovery Learning model. The focus of this study is to measure the impact of the Merdeka Curriculum on student learning outcomes, while the learning model is used as a treatment to examine how the curriculum is implemented in different contexts. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and learning outcome tests. The data were analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The results show that there is a significant effect on student learning outcomes (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, which promotes student activeness and learning independence, contributes positively to the improvement of student learning outcomes. Furthermore, the results suggest that optimizing the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum can be an effective strategy to improve the quality of both the learning process and learning outcomes in schools.
