Abstract

This research examines the relationship between language proficiency and thought processes in the context of cognitive development. The aim of this study is to understand how language proficiency relates to thought processes, particularly in terms of the influence of language on the quality and effectiveness of one's thinking. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative analysis of literature. The results of the study indicate a significant relationship between language proficiency and thought processes. Good language proficiency, including a strong understanding of language, fluent speaking skills, and effective listening skills, is associated with better thinking abilities. Strong language proficiency has also been shown to influence the quality of one's thinking, including problem-solving skills, logical reasoning, and creative thinking.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas kesantunan berbahasa di kalangan remaja di Lingkup Bango IV, Pondok Labu, Kota Jakarta, dalam perspektif sosiolinguistik. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pematuhan dan pelanggaran prinsip kesantunan berbahasa yang dilakukan oleh remaja dalam interaksi sehari-hari mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa remaja di Lingkup Bango IV mengikuti empat maksim kesantunan, yaitu maksim kebijaksanaan, maksim kedermawanan, maksim penghargaan/pujian, dan maksim kesederhanaan/kerendahan hati. Secara rinci, terdapat 23 tuturan yang mematuhi prinsip kesantunan berbahasa, yang terbagi menjadi 11 tuturan pematuhan maksim kebijaksanaan, 5 tuturan pematuhan maksim kedermawanan, 4 tuturan pematuhan maksim penghargaan/pujian, dan 3 tuturan pematuhan maksim kesederhanaan/kerendahan hati. Namun demikian, penelitian ini juga menemukan adanya pelanggaran terhadap prinsip kesantunan berbahasa. Terdapat 11 tuturan yang melanggar maksim kebijaksanaan, kedermawanan, penghargaan/pujian, dan kesederhanaan/kerendahan hati. Rinciannya, 2 tuturan melanggar maksim kebijaksanaan, 3 tuturan melanggar maksim kedermawanan, 4 tuturan melanggar maksim penghargaan/pujian, dan 2 tuturan melanggar maksim kesederhanaan/kerendahan hati. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kesantunan berbahasa di kalangan remaja di Lingkup Bango IV bervariasi dan dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor sosial. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam memahami dinamika kesantunan berbahasa di kalangan remaja dalam konteks sosial tertentu.

Abstract

Advances in information technology are ushering in major transformations in various fields, including education. The teaching-learning process has been made easier by this technology. Excessive attachment to digital devices minimizes the opportunity for direct face-to-face interaction for the development of social and emotional skills. This research applies a qualitative descriptive method based on the constructivism paradigm, providing the researcher's subjective understanding of the phenomenon under study. Data were collected from articles to describe strategies to maintain social values in technology-based education. The results show that the use of technology in education, such as online learning, Augmented Reality (AR), and Artificial Intelligence (AI), accessibility is growing rapidly and has a significant positive impact on the quality of learning. Technology has shifted teaching methods from teacher-centered to student-centered, but it also makes it easier to cheat students and make them more interested in the virtual world than the real world. Student character is formed by various factors, namely heredity, and environmental factors. Environmental factors here include family environment, school environment, and positive school culture. Students' social values can be instilled through various activities at school, such as tolerance that helps them to build a harmonious school culture.

Abstract

Technological advances have had a very rapid influence on the development of education in Indonesia. In the current era of the industrial revolution, technology can provide convenience in assisting the teaching and learning process, this is because technology-based learning media can make human work easier. Technology has become the main solution in providing more equitable access to education, bridging the gaps that exist between various regions and social groups. With advances in information and communication technology, education can now be accessed from anywhere and at any time, without being limited by geographic location. E-learning is a system or educational concept that utilizes information technology to support the learning process. Technology has great potential to create more equitable and inclusive access to education, enabling every individual to develop their potential to the fullest, regardless of their location or background. This research uses qualitative methods with library study techniques by reviewing various types of reading references to find conclusions regarding learning innovations in utilizing technology to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Globalization has a significant impact on various aspects of life throughout the world, including in the field of education. The current era is characterized by the rapid development of information and communication technology, influencing how education adapts and evolves. The Industrial Revolution 4.0 brings profound transformation in the economy, industry, and education with the adoption of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and cloud computing. Education must adapt quickly, introduce digital technology in learning, and integrate the 4C skills (Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, Creativity) to prepare students to face future challenges. Apart from that, the industrial revolution 4.0 also has impacts including the development of learning methods, faster and more efficient learning services, new challenges and opportunities, changes in ways of learning and teaching, skills expected from teaching staff, changes in assessment evaluation, and challenges of equal access. This research uses a descriptive approach with quantitative analysis to understand the impact and use of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 in current global education. Discussions on the integration of digital technology in learning, digital skills development, and global collaboration highlight how education can improve the accessibility, personalization, and quality of learning in an increasingly globally connected era.
