Abstract

This workshop activity aims to provide training for teachers to be able to understand and implement computational thinking in the subjects they teach. The lack of trained personnel and lack of understanding in implementing computational thinking provide an opportunity for Bebras Bureau to contribute. This is in line with the desire of the Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim to implement computational thinking in the children's education curriculum as a provision for more innovative learning to answer the needs of the industrial era 4.0. Computational thinking is a thinking process in formulating problems and solutions so that they can be represented in a form that can be executed by information processing agents, both human and computer. The implementation of the service was carried out on subject teachers at Madratsah Ibtidaiyah NW Gelogor, West Lombok. The stages of the workshop consisted of preparing coordination with partners, preparing training materials, making questionnaires at the beginning and end of the activity, filling out questionnaires at the beginning of the training, Computational Thinking training for MI teachers and filling out a questionnaire at the end of the activity and Evaluation

Abstract

The current application of Augmented Reality (AR) technology in various fields such as games, social media, business, military, medicine and including education. This research will utilize AR in learning for grade 3 students at Barujulat 1 Public Elementary School. The problem is that the 2013 revision of the 2018 curriculum is used and uses books as study guides. From interviews with teaching teachers, students have difficulty understanding various types of healthy food related to material according to the syllabus in sub-theme 2 of learning 3 about Food Important for Health, and this condition is exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic situation which requires students to study online and independently at home. The purpose of this study was to make a learning application for the introduction of healthy and nutritious eating with AR for class 3 of SDN 1 Barujulat. The method used in this research is the ADDIE development method developed by Dick and Carry. The results of this study, according to the syllabus used, can improve and facilitate students' understanding in participating in learning about important foods for health. The test results for grade 3 students were 21 students/respondents, it was found that 52% of respondents said this application could increase interest in learning, and 76% of respondents said that this application could facilitate understanding of healthy and nutritious food learning materials.

Abstract

Background : Data access using copper is considered slower than Fiber Optic access networks, which encourages many customers who switch to Fiber Optic. Objective : This study aims to analyze the installation of Fiber Optic networks using Optic System Software in new areas and analyze attenuation in Fiber Optic networks using Link power budget. Method : The method used in this study is PPDIOO : Prepare, Plan, Design, Implement, Operate, and Optimize. Results : The Optical Power Meter (OPM) simulation on the new ODP using Opti System produces a value of receiving power (Pr) -19.48 dBm (as a sample) and for the calculation results using the Power Link Budget (PLB) the total value of receiving Power (Pr) -20.40 dBm while Measurement results using Optical Power Meter (OPM) (Pr) -19.89 dBm (as a sample). Conclusion : The results of measurements and measurements have similarities, namely if the distance between the Optical Distribution Cabinet (ODC) and Optical Distribution Point (ODP) is greater, the greater the value of the receiving power or attenuation.

Abstract

The aim of this community service is to reach prospective new students who have been previously identified to be recommended for assistance in the form of educational scholarships in the Mataram City area. This community service is a form of Bumigora University's commitment to advancing education in Indonesia by providing assistance to prospective students who are less well off financially. The service targets for prospective new students start from Jalan Cilinaya, Cakranegara District, Jalan Pejanggik, Selaparang District, Karang Bedil, Pagutan, Dasan Cermen Timur, and ends in Monjok. This service activity uses a qualitative approach with the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method with descriptive research type. The activity was carried out by visiting the home of each prospective student and then conducting a short interview with the prospective student's guardian. A total of 7 prospective students were visited by this service team. Based on wise and careful consideration, the results of this service implementation decided to recommend the seven prospective students who were surveyed based on the real conditions of the prospective students. Apart from being beneficial for the community, this service activity also really helps the campus in identifying prospective students who are less fortunate and worthy of being given assistance to obtain higher education.

Abstract

Abstract: Computational thinking (CT) is the concept of thinking computationally in solving a problem. The learning method in CT includes 4 main pillars, namely: Decomposition, Abstraction, Algorithm and Pattern Recognition. CT trains students to think computationally when solving problems in all fields of science. Computational Thinking is a thought process involved in formulating a problem and expressing its solution as in a computer where a human or machine problem solving is carried out effectively. The CT learning method shapes students to be creative and innovative, and able to communicate and collaborate. Currently CT can not only be applied in the field of informatics engineering, but can be integrated with other fields of science such as Indonesian, English, Mathematics and Science. This community service activity program introduces the concept of CT for MI and MTs teachers at Nurul Islam Islamic Boarding School - Pagesangan, Mataram. With the hope that teachers can incorporate CT into the subjects being taught, so that students get used to solving problems through computational thinking, the survival of computational thinking, a problem can be resolved properly, effectively and optimally.
