Abstract

The rapid growth of culinary Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia has intensified market competition and accelerated the adoption of digital marketing strategies. Alongside technological advancements, marketing has evolved beyond conventional offline approaches toward social media-based marketing, accompanied by significant changes in consumer behavior. Consumers increasingly utilize social media platforms, particularly WhatsApp and Instagram, to obtain product information, compare available alternatives, and make purchasing decisions. This study aims to analyze and examine the effects of social media marketing, product quality, and product diversity on purchase decisions through consumer purchase intention as an intervening variable at Try Barokah MSME in Situbondo. The study population consisted of customers of Try Barokah MSME. The sample was selected using a non-probability sampling technique through purposive sampling based on predetermined criteria. Data analysis and hypothesis testing were conducted using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach with SmartPLS 3.0. The results of the direct effect analysis reveal that social media marketing, product quality, and product diversity each have a positive and statistically significant effect on consumer purchase intention. Furthermore, social media marketing, product quality, and product diversity also exert positive and significant effects on purchase decisions. In contrast, consumer purchase intention has a positive but statistically insignificant effect on purchase decisions. The indirect effect analysis indicates that consumer purchase intention does not significantly mediate the relationships between social media marketing and purchase decisions, product quality and purchase decisions, or product diversity and purchase decisions, despite the positive direction of these indirect effects.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR), and Cash Ratio on Profitability with Non-Performing Loan (NPL) as an intervening variable in commercial banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2020–2023. The study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data from the annual financial reports of 12 sample banks selected using purposive sampling techniques. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS) with the help of SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results of the study indicate that: (1) CAR does not have a significant effect on NPL; (2) FDR does not have a significant effect on NPL; (3) Cash Ratio has a positive and significant effect on NPL; (4) CAR does not have a significant effect on Profitability; (5) FDR does not significantly affect Profitability; (6) Cash Ratio does not significantly affect Profitability; (7) NPL does not significantly affect Profitability; and (8), (9), and (10) NPL is not proven to mediate the relationship between CAR, FDR, and Cash Ratio on Profitability. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that of the three independent variables, only the Cash Ratio significantly affects NPL, but none of the variables have a significant effect on Profitability, either directly or indirectly through NPL mediation. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of prudent liquidity management and operational efficiency for banks, as well as the need for further research by adding other variables and expanding the scope of the study period..

Abstract

At Café Kedai Siring, location was found to affect purchasing decisions. The café’s position near a quiet beach but far from residential areas increases parking security risks, while service quality was considered lacking due to long service times, order errors, and limited facilities. This study analyzes the effects of café atmosphere, location, and service quality on repurchase intention, with customer satisfaction as an intervening variable. The research used a quantitative approach with 99 respondents selected through simple random sampling, and data were analyzed using the PLS-SEM method with SmartPLS 3.0. The results showed that café atmosphere, location, and service quality significantly influenced customer satisfaction. Café atmosphere and location had a significant positive effect on repurchase intention, while service quality had a positive but not significant effect. Customer satisfaction itself had a significant effect on repurchase intention and mediated the influence of café atmosphere, location, and service quality on repurchase intention.
