Abstract

Abstract: Analysis of Main Character in Novel Supernova, Episodes of Lightning by Dewi Lestari, Review of Literary Psychology. This study aims to analyze the main character. This study uses a literary psychology approach. The literary psychology approach examines the things that cause the psychological conditions experienced by the main character and the factors that affect the psychological conditions experienced by the main character. The method used in this research is qualitative method. This method prioritizes process rather than results, because literary works are a phenomenon that causes many interpretations. The results showed the toughness of the main character caused by several factors. As the main character can overcome the psychological conditions experienced by the main character by managing the mind properly. The psychological condition experienced by the main character is unusual, but with the help of the people around him, the main character is able to overcome the problem. Her problem was overcome because of the help of a character named Mrs. Sati. Apart from that, the main character often interacts with other characters in the novel, namely the Dedi character, the Watti character, the Mpret character and the Kewoy character. In dealing with unusual mental conditions, the main character performs a series of exercises to relax his brain so that he can control the subconscious brain.Keywords: Main Character, Novel, and Literary Psychology

Abstract

Community Service Activities in the form of assistance in the development of learning media aim to provide knowledge and skills in developing learning media that meet the requirements for certification for teachers. The ability to develop instructional media is expected to accelerate and facilitate the acquisition of in-service teacher certification. The target audience in this PPM activity is the 26 teacher of SMK 1 Watampone. Assistance in the development of instructional media is carried out by means of lectures, demonstration and exercises accompanied by question and answers. The Lecture method is used to explain the introductory concepts of professional teachers and teacher certification and the theory of instructional media. The demonstration method is used to show a work process, namely the stages of developing computer-based learning media, while the training method is to practice making media that meets the requirements of the teacher certification program. While the question and answer method is to give participants the opportunity to consult in overcoming obstacles in the development of learning media. The benefits that participants can get from activities include being able to compile and develop computer-based learning media according to the training subject being taught.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of blended learning learning methods assisted by mind mapping of Lontara script to enhance students' reasoning abilities at UPT SMP Negeri 1 Kahu,. This research is a type of quantitative descriptive research that utilizes a purposive sampling technique and a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design (teachers' considerations). In this study, 60 students from classes VIII B and VIII C made up the population. 30 students from class VIII B served as the experimental class in this study, whereas 30 students from class VIII C participated as the control group. The implementation of blended learning learning methods mediated by the thinking is the main emphasis of this study.The purpose of this research is to enhance student' reasoning skills through the use of blended learning techniques that are assisted by mind mapping integrated Lontara script based on android applications. The gain score test was used evaluate the study's data and determine how much the students' reasoning skills had enhanced both before and after the learning process was put into effect. The results of this study show that there is an improvement in students' reasoning abilities before and after using the blended learning method with the use of the Lontara script's mind mapping. The average result of the pretest was 47 to 79 in the posttest, with a gain score for the experimental class of 82% and a gain score of 72% for the control class.Abstrak: Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan metode pembelajaran blended learning berbantuan mind mapping aksara Lontara dalam meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran siswa di UPT SMP Negeri 1 Kahu. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan desain penelitian yaitu kuasi eksperimen jenis nonequivalent control group design, melalui teknik purposive sampling (pertimbangan guru). Populasi dalam penelitian ini meliputi siswa kelas VIII B dan VIII C sebanyak 60 siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini dibagi menjadi dua kelas, dengan 30 siswa sebagai kelas VIII B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 30 siswa sebagai kelas VIII C sebagai kelas kontrol. Fokus penelitian ini adalah penerapan metode pembelajaran blended learning berbantuan mind mapping terintegrasi aksara Lontara berbasis aplikasi android dalam meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran siswa yang diterapkan pada kelas eksperimen. Analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah uji gain score untuk mengetahui seberapa besar peningkatan kemampuan penalaran siswa sebelum dan sesudah pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan kemampuan penalaran siswa sebelum menggunakan metode pembelajaran blended learning berbantuan mind mapping aksara lontara dan setelah menggunakan metode pembelajaran blended learning berbantuan mind mapping aksara lontara dengan hasil rata-rata pretest 47 menjadi 79 pada posttest dengan gain score untuk kelas eksperimen sebesar 82% sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 72%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam mengenai realisasi statergi kesantunan bahasa positif dan negatif masyarakat Watampone. Selain mengetahui strategi kesantunan berbahasa juga dapat memperoleh pemahaman mengenai kesantunan ditinjau dari aspek budaya masyarakat Watampone. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode etnografi komunikasi. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan selama tiga bulan. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah tuturan masyarakat Watampone yang terjadi pada interaksi formal dan informal. Data dikumpulkan secara observasi partisipan. Prosedur pengumpulan data etnografi menggunakan teknik observasi, observasi partisipan dan wawancara, wawancara formal dan informal. Data yang diperoleh di lapangan dianalisis berdasarkan teori Dell Hymes yang dikembangkan oleh Saville Troike. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data dilakukan melalui analisis kredibilitas transferbilitas, dependebilitas, dan komfirmabilitas. Hasil yang terdapat dalam penelitian ini adalah menemukan strategi kesantunan berbahasa positif dan negatif bagi masyarakat Watampone. Strategi kesantunan berbahasa masyarakat Watampone menerapkan 2 strategi yaitu strategi kesantunan psositif dan strategi kesantuan negatif. Bentuk strategi kesantunan positif dalam masyarakat Watampone yaitu: mengintensifkan perhatian pendengar dengan pendramatisiran peristiwa, menggunakan penanda identitas kelompok, bentuk sapaan, dialek atau slang, menggunakan lelucon, menunjukkan keoptimisan, dan melibatkan penutur dan pendengar dalam aktivitas. Sedangkan strategi kesantunan negatif bagi tuturan masyarakat watampone yaitu: menggunakan ujaran tidak langsung, menggunakan pertanyaan berpagar, memberi penghormatan, meminta maaf, memakai bentuk impersonal, menyatakan tindakan pengancaman muka sebagai aturan yang bersifat umum, dan menyatakan diri berutang budi. Kesantunan dari segi budaya terlihat dari penggunaan kata “kita:, pemarkah sosial dengan kata “Puang”, “iye”, klitik “ki”, “ta” dan penggunaan kata “idi”. Kesantunan dari aspek budaya dapat pula dilihat dari verbal dan non verbal. Aspek verbal yaitu: berupa aksen, sapaan, dan penggunaan klitik. Sedangkan nonverbal adalah kinesik dan kinestetik.
