Abstract

At SDN 02 Kademangan, teaching and learning activities still introduce very little Lolak culture and traditions to students. Learning at school focuses more on academic aspects and does not provide sufficient space for the introduction and understanding of local cultural values. This activity not only aims to introduce and preserve local culture, but also to improve students' overall literacy skills. Apart from that, this program is also expected to encourage active participation by the community and parents in cultural education, as well as forming students' characters who love and appreciate their culture more. Implementation methods include planning and preparation, organizing and decorating the event, evaluating the work, closing and documenting. With this activity, students' reading interest in local culture-based material has increased. In addition to increasing cultural literacy, students' general literacy skills, such as reading, writing and speaking, also experience development. In the reading corner, students read folk tales and other materials, which not only enriches their knowledge but also improves their reading ability.

Abstract

Rejoyoso Village has the potential to utilize organic waste from leftover household activities. However, the people of Rejoyoso Village are less motivated to develop skills regarding organic waste processing. This is because people have no interest in or understanding of waste management. The aim of the KKN-T 16 UNIRA Rejoyoso Village activity program in 2024 is to utilize household organic waste effectively and innovatively and improve residents' skills in waste management. This KKN-T activity was carried out for 40 days with 16 participants in Rejoyoso Village, Bantur District. The activity stages are observation and identification of potential problems, processing observation data, program planning, implementation, which includes Focus Group Discussion (FGD), carrying out location permits, preparing tools and materials, carrying out socialization, and training on organic waste management through maggot cultivation. The final stage is monitoring and evaluating the results of the activities. The conclusion of this activity is that by empowering the community, people can broaden their knowledge and develop their skills through cultivating maggots in Rejoyoso Village, Bantur District, as an alternative use of organic waste.

Abstract

Pelestarian budaya lokal menghadapi tantangan besar di tengah derasnya arus globalisasi yang menyebabkan generasi muda semakin jauh dari warisan budaya daerahnya. Salah satu upaya strategis yang dapat dilakukan adalah melalui pendidikan berbasis kearifan lokal yang diterapkan sejak jenjang sekolah dasar. Berdasarkan kebutuhan tersebut, tim dosen Universitas Islam Raden Rahmat (UNIRA) Malang melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian berupa pendampingan pameran kearifan lokal di SDN 4 Ardirejo. Kegiatan ini dirancang untuk menumbuhkan kecintaan siswa terhadap budaya Malang, meningkatkan kreativitas, serta memperkuat rasa bangga terhadap identitas budaya lokal. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendampingan partisipatif melalui tahapan sosialisasi, edukasi budaya (seminar Tari dan Topeng Malangan), pendampingan pembuatan karya seni siswa (mewarnai rumah adat, kolase budaya, topeng Malangan), pendampingan penampilan seni (tari, drama, puisi, dan paduan suara), hingga puncak kegiatan berupa pameran gelar karya. Seluruh rangkaian kegiatan melibatkan kolaborasi antara dosen, mahasiswa PPL, guru, dan siswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan wawasan budaya siswa, keterampilan berkarya, dan keberanian tampil di depan umum. Selain itu, siswa merasa lebih bangga terhadap budaya lokal Malang, sementara guru memperoleh inspirasi untuk mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal dalam pembelajaran. Apresiasi positif dari orang tua, pihak sekolah, dan perguruan tinggi memperlihatkan bahwa kegiatan ini efektif sebagai sarana edukatif sekaligus hiburan yang bermakna. Dengan demikian, pendampingan pameran kearifan lokal terbukti mampu menjadi media pembelajaran kontekstual yang menumbuhkan cinta budaya sekaligus membangun karakter siswa. Kegiatan ini layak untuk direplikasi di sekolah lain sebagai bentuk sinergi perguruan tinggi dengan sekolah dasar dalam upaya melestarikan warisan budaya bangsa.

Abstract

Bullying in elementary schools is a serious issue that negatively impacts children’s physical, psychological, social, and academic development. This community service program aims to provide anti-bullying socialization to students of SDN Jambesari 01 to increase their understanding of the forms, impacts, and prevention strategies of bullying. The program applied a participatory approach through counseling, interactive discussions, and case simulations. The results showed an increase in students’ knowledge of bullying types, greater empathy for victims, and a collective commitment to creating a safe and comfortable learning environment. Challenges such as students’ limited initial understanding and low parental attention were addressed through communicative strategies and collaboration with teachers. Thus, anti-bullying socialization is effective as a preventive step in reducing violence in elementary schools.
