Abstract

The concept of sustainable development has basically become the concern of all parties, especially in tourist destination areas. The Ayung riverside area is one of the tourist destinations for local and foreign residents. The rapid development of the Ayung riverside environment has a great impact on the environment around the village. The environment around the village sometimes becomes a place of uncontrolled development that causes environmental damage characterized by decreased air, water and soil quality, resulting in the extinction of animals, plants, wildlife and damage to ecosystems. In this context, it is necessary to apply ecological architecture to the construction of urban support works, including riverside areas. This study aims to determine public perceptions related to the application of ecological design concepts to sustainable development in the Ayung riverside area. The method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach, analyzing according to the principles of ecological design. The application of ecological architecture on the banks of the Ayung river is expected to ensure the sustainability of the ecosystem and minimize negative impacts on the environment due to improper ecological design. The results of this study show that ecological principles can be applied in the Ayung riverside area, including the arrangement of several buildings to create dynamic green spaces while still based on local wisdom

Abstract

Good construction project implementation is obtained from good and detailed management. The success of project management is supported by a detailed and thorough planning and scheduling method. Project scheduling has many types with various forms, advantages and disadvantages, even in current technological developments, applications are available that can help plan, implement and control projects, namely the Microsoft Project application. In the implementation of the SDN 1 Pedungan Two-Floor Building Development project, it still uses scheduling using the conventional method (S-Curve). With the existence of various forms of scheduling, this writer compares the method between the S Curve and the Critical Path Method (CPM) to obtain effective and efficient scheduling. The data used in this study are quantitative data such as the Budget Plan (RAB) which produces job descriptions and volumes, the Time Schedule plan which produces the activity duration of each work item, the predecessor and project start time, the analysis list which produces resource requirements and the calendar. workflow that returns project start time, workdays, workhours, worktime and holidays. After comparing the duration of each work between the conventional method using the Microsoft Project 2019 application in the construction project of the Two-Floor Building at SDN 1 Pedungan, the implementation time plan is faster than the conventional method, namely with a difference of 31 days, this is influenced by calculations of needs and availability of resources. power (Unit Max) per day adjusted to the volume of work

Abstract

The increase in population impacts the need for space in Denpasar City. In this study, the need for space is related to the need for housing. A misalignment of the economic level of the community follows the high demand for residential space. This eventually led to the problem of the slum phenomenon. This research was conducted to determine the characteristics and causes of slums in the Denpasar City Area with a case study of Jalan Karya Makmur, North Denpasar. This research uses a qualitative method approach with a naturalistic paradigm. The data used was obtained directly by carrying out observations and documentation at the research location. Data collection techniques use non-participant observation techniques which are carried out by observing while understanding and analyzing the phenomena contained in the research location. Based on the research obtained that the characteristics of slums seen from the condition of the building have a high density and use semi-permanent materials, at the location of the use of clean water comes from drilled wells and is used together, environmental roads tend not to use pavement, drainage is not able to drain water properly, waste conditions are not managed properly, household waste is directly channeled into existing channels and lack of protection against fire hazards. The factors that cause slums are residential density, economic capacity of the community, flammable building materials, and lack of public awareness in environmental management.

Abstract

Changes in spatial patterns, especially the transformation of land from green open spaces to built-up areas, have caused various impacts on the environment and urban drainage systems. This study analyzes the driving factors of spatial pattern change on urban drainage in West Denpasar District, with a special focus on Padangsambian Kelod Village and Pemecutan Kelod Village. This study aims to identify and understand the factors that contribute to changes in the drainage system in the region. The research methods used include collecting spatial data through satellite imagery and thematic maps, field surveys for direct observation, and interviews with residents and related stakeholders. The collected data was then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively to identify spatial change patterns and their driving factors. The results show that the change in spatial patterns towards urban drainage in West Denpasar District is driven by several main factors, including rapid population growth, intensive infrastructure development, and land use change from agricultural to residential and commercial. These factors have led to increased surface runoff, decreased drainage capacity, and increased flood risk in the region. This study concludes that a more integrated and sustainable drainage management approach is needed to overcome the challenges posed by changes in spatial patterns. The recommendations submitted include increasing drainage capacity, implementing environmentally friendly development practices, and increasing public awareness about the importance of maintaining urban drainage systems.

Abstract

The Badung Regency Fire Protection System Master Plan (RISPK) for 2024-2034 is a guideline for the Badung Regency Government in carrying out planning, budgeting and formulating policies for preventing, mitigating, protecting and saving the community from fire disasters. The objectives of the RISPK research are (1) to analyze mapping, systems, mechanisms and procedures for fire prevention and handling as well as responsive and technology-based rescue; (2) analyze the preparedness, alertness and empowerment of government officials, the community and stakeholders in preventing and handling fires and rescue and; (3) prevent and/or minimize material losses and casualties, disruption of supply chains, goods/services production processes, environmental damage and disruption of public peace due to fire. The research uses qualitative descriptive methods, the research location is Badung Regency. The research results found; (1) using seven parameters in mapping Badung Regency's fire potential; (2) use Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as a guide in carrying out responsive, systematic and planned fire prevention and handling efforts and; (3) protecting fire disasters requires a holistic and comprehensive cooperation pattern, involving the government, community, business world and other stakeholders

Abstract

In the central market planning project in Badung Regency, Bali, the main objective was to develop an economic center that combines cultural elements with sustainable economic growth. The planning goes beyond the traditional paradigm of development by integrating cultural, social, environmental, architectural, civil engineering and economic factors, creating an entity that carries more value than just commercial transactions. The central market is intended to represent a balance between cultural heritage and the dynamics of modernity, with reference to the principles of Tri Hita Karana (balance with God, fellow humans, and the natural environment) as well as the concept of Hulu - Teben which directs the organization of space based on the flow of the river. The Tri Mandala and Sanga Mandala concepts guide the zone mapping and building orientation, optimizing air circulation and natural lighting. The market architecture adopts traditional Balinese elements such as limasan and jineng roof forms, and utilizes natural materials such as red bricks and temple stones. A purposeful and iconic signage system, including the Ratu Niang Sakti statue, became an important part of the design. The result is a synergy between cultural values and global progress, forming a neighborhood that functions not only as a place of transaction, but also as a vehicle for cultural preservation and a driver of inclusive economic growth. The project encourages active community participation in the development process, accelerates the welfare of local communities, and improves the competitiveness of the region. Thus, the project achieves its goal not only as physical infrastructure, but also as a platform that integrates cultural significance and economic dynamism within the framework of sustainable development
