Abstract

This study aims to determine the causal relationship between fertility, economic growth and poverty in West Sumatra. This type of research is descriptive and associative research. The data used are secondary data in the form of panel data from 2010 to 2017. The research methods used are: (1) Vector Auto Regression Analysis, (2) Granger Causality Test. The results showed that (1) There was no causality relationship between fertility and economic growth in West Sumatra, but there was a direct relationship between fertility and economic growth. (2) There is no causality relationship between fertility and poverty in West Sumatra, but there is a direct relationship between poverty and fertility. (3) There is no causal relationship between economic growth and poverty in West Sumatra, but there is a direct relationship between poverty and economic growth.

Abstract

This study aims to find out and analyze the influence of (1) Agricultural Sector Revenues, (2) Mining Sector Revenues (3) Industrial Sector Revenues Against income distribution inequality in Indonesia. This type of research is descriptive and associative research, namely research that describes the research variable and finds the presence or absence of influence between independent variables and dependent variables. The types of data in this study are secondary data and panel data from 2012-2016 per Province in Indonesia. Data analysis used is descriptive analysis and inductive analysis. In inductive analysis there are several tests, namely: Panel Regression Model, Classical Assumption Test, t Test. The estimation results show that (1) Agricultural Sector Revenues have a negative and significant effect on Inequality of Income Distribution in Indonesia, (2) Mining Sector Revenues are not significant to Income Distribution Inequality in Indonesia (3) Industrial Sector Revenues are not significant to Income Distribution Inequality in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the factors that influence the demand for houses in Indonesia with the selected model is the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The data used is panel data during the period 2013-2017, with the technique of collecting documentation data and library studies obtained from relevant institutions and agencies. The variables use are income, population, marriage, and inflation. The research method used is Ordinary Least Square (OLS). The estimation results show that income, marriage and inflation have a positive and significant effect on the demand for housing in Indonesia. Meanwhile simultaneously income, marriage and inflation affect the demand for housing in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the causal relationship between manufacture export, manufacture ouput and economic growth within a panel vector autoregression (PVAR) for ASEAN countries over the period 2008-2017. The results of this study indicate that the manufacture export and the manufacture output has a one-way causality relationship that is economic growth which affects the manufacture export, the manufacture output has a one-way causality relationship that is economic growth affects the manufacture output, the export and the output manufacture has no causality.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) The Effect of Electricity Availability on people's welfare. (2) Effect of Availability of Clean Water on people’s welfare. (3) Effect of Sanitation on people's welfare. (4) Effect of Housing Ownership Status on people's welfare. (5) Effects of Electricity Availability, Availability of Clean Water, Sanitation and Home Ownership Status on people's  welfare. This type of research is descriptive and associative. The type of data used is secondary data, namely 2018 SUSENAS data conducted by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The analytical tool used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Electricity Availability has a positive and significant effect on people's welfare. (2) The availability of clean water has a positive and significant effect on people's welfare. (3) Sanitation has a positive and significant effect on people's welfare. (4) House Ownership Status has a negative and not significant effect on people's welfare. (5) Availability of Electricity, Availability of Clean Water, Sanitation and Home Ownership Status has a positive and significant impact on people's  welfare. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended that the Mentawai Islands Regency government focus on infrastructure development especially those related to electricity, clean water and sanitation. This is done so that the welfare of the people in the Mentawai Islands Regency can be improved.

Abstract

This study aims to find out determine of wages for disabled workers in Sumatera Barat. This research use cross section with 481 samples. The variables used are wage for disabled workers,education, number of hours worked, age, work experience, type of work. This research’s methods used Ordinary Least Square (OLS) Multiple linear regression analysis. This research show education, number of work, work experience  had significanlly positive effect on wage for disabled workers in Sumatera Barat. Type of work has significanlly negative effect on wage for disabled worker, age had nonsignificanly positive effect on wage for disabled.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the causality relationship between Economic Growth, Poverty, Education and Distribution of Income on the island of Sumatra by using a panel model Vector Autoregresion panel (PVAR) from 2013 to 2017. The results showed that (1) there was no causality or one-sided relationship between economic growth and poverty on the island of Sumatera, (2) there was no causality relationship between poverty and income distribution in Sumatera Island, but there was a one-way relationship between poverty and income distribution. (3) There is no causal relationship or one-way relationship between income distribution and education on the island of Sumatera (4) There is no causal relationship between education and economic growth, but there is a one-way relationship between education and economic growth on the island of Sumatera. (5) There is no causality or one direction relationship between growth and income distribution on the island of Sumatera. (6) There is no causal relationship between education and poverty, but there is a one-way relationship of poverty to education on the island of Sumatera.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze how the influence of age, gender, working hours, employment status and education on the income of workers in the city of Padang. The types and sources of data in this study are from the National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS  in 2019. In this study, multiple regression analysis was used to see the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable with the number of samples used as many as 912 workers. The results of this study indicate that age has a positive and significant effect on labor incomein Padang City, gender has a positive and significant effect on labor income in Padang City, working hours have a positive and significant effect on labor income in Padang City, employment status has a positive effect. and significant to the income of workers in the city of Padang, education also affects the income of workers in the city of Padang.

Abstract

This research aims to knows impact of composite stock price index, exchange rate and value of traded share to capital market and analyze the impact of capital market to indonesia’s economics using two stage least squares (TSLS). The first equation to seek the impact of composite stock price index, exchange rate dan and value of traded share to capitalism stock. The results of this research showed composite stock price index, exchange rate, value of traded share have significant positive impact to capitalism stock.. The second equation to seek the impact of consumption, government expenditure, capitalism stock, private investment and net export to Indonesia’s economic. The results of this research showed consumption have significant positive to Indonesia’s economic. Government Expenditure, Capitalism stock, Private investment, Net export  have unsignificant impact to indoneisa’s economic. From the results of this research we can suggest to the government give more attentiont indicators that able to support the indonesia’s economic and overcome negative side lowers the indonesia’s economic. And that the government will be able to control the investments made in order to have a positive impact to indonesia’s economic. And also expected for investors to further increase their investment so that increasing employment opportunities and making the indonesia’s economic.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of factor (X1) on human development index, (X2) unemployment, (X3) population density on crime, in Indonesia. This type of research is descriptive and associative. Data type is secondary data. This study uses panel data with 31 provinces in Indonesia using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach. The results of the study show that (1) the human development index has a significant effect on crime. (2) Unemployment does not have a significant effect on crime. (3) Population density has a significant effect on criminality (4) Taken together there is a significant influence between the human development index, unemployment and population density on crime in Indonesia. Therefore, the government and the authorities are expected to disseminate information to the community about the laws and regulations on criminal offenders and the need to improve education as an effort to improve the quality of Indonesian human resources.
