Abstract

In the era of digital marketing, the role of Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) has become critical to attract new customers. However, previous studies reveal inconsistent results.  This study aims to investigate the influence of Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) on purchasing interest in cosmetics products. The study employs a descriptive quantitative method, using a survey questionnaire distributed to 200 respondents. The respondents have TikTok accounts and follow Key Opinion Leaders in the beauty sector on TikTok. The research employs a quantitative study with a survey questionnaire. Data was analyzed using SmartPLS 4 software. The study reveals interesting results. First, there is a positive influence of KOL Expertise on followers' buying interest. However, KOL Attractiveness and Trustworthiness do not have a positive influence on followers' buying interest. The research findings provide strategic implications for marketers and business owners who plan to optimize their digital marketing strategies by employing Key Opinion Leaders.

Abstract

In fast-food industry, food quality and safety become pre-requisite to launch a fast-food restaurant. Thus, the players in this industry offer similar quality of food. This has caused a shift of the focus of competition in the industry from competing in the quality of product to the quality of human resources in serving customers. The aim of this study is to find out whether service quality, product, and satisfaction have any impact on customer loyalty. The study surveyed 30 respondents in the pre-testing and 170 respondents in actual data testing. SmartPLS3.2 software was used to process data, that was collected using questionnaire. Data processing was conducted using validity test, reliability test, multiple regression analysis and hypothesis testing. The test revealed that Service Quality is indeed an important variable to affect Customer Loyalty. The same result applied to Product and Satisfaction what also revealed positive effect on Customer Loyalty.

Abstract

This research was triggered by the massive disruption caused by COVID-19 pandemic which has heavily affected small businesses in a negative way. The unprecedented pandemic resulted in a sharp decline in the number of micro businesses in affected areas in Indonesia, including Semarang. Thus, there is an urgent need to revive micro businesses. This research aims on analyzing the effect of entrepreneurial spirit and values through entrepreneurial behavior to develop business independence. Data analysis in this study was conducted using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Research samples consisted of 200 entrepreneurs in Semarang who have run their businesses for more than one year. The findings show that there is an effect of entrepreneurial value and spirit on entrepreneurial independence directly and through entrepreneurial behavior.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT:Penelitian ini dipicu oleh disrupsi secara massif pada usaha kecil di daerah-daerah terdampak di Indonesia di masa pandemi COVID-19, Semarang. Untuk itu perlu adanya upaya untuk membangkitkan kembali geliat para pelaku bisnis kecil menuju kemandirian usaha. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterkaitan antara jiwa kewirausahaan para pelaku usaha dan nilai kewirausahaan yang mereka yakini, yang dapat meningkatkan kemandirian usaha melalui perilaku usaha. Penelitian ini menggunakan Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) untuk melakukan analisis data. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 200 wirausahawan di Semarang yang sudah menjalani usaha selama lebih dari satu tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jiwa kewirausahaan dan nilai kewirausahaan berpengaruh terhadap kemandirian usaha baik secara langsung mampun melalui perilaku kewirausahaan. Perilaku kewirausahaan berpengaruh positif terhadap kemandirian usaha.

Abstract

This research aims to provide an analysis of the factors that may affect the behavior of or give rise to entrepreneurial characteristics. The lack of entrepreneurs in Indonesia becomes the focus and subject of this research as most of them hold a common mindset of “job seeker”, meaning that they would seek jobs upon finishing their degree. The author hopes that this research would be able to build the mindset of university students in general. This research relies upon the quantitative approach in which electronic questionnaires were used as a method to gather samples. Said sample amounted to 300 active Pelita Harapan University students. The data were then assessed in accordance with the validity and reliability analysis. The software used was SPSS, mainly to process the data gathered. Preliminary analysis to check its validity and reliability involves 30 of the participants’ data. Upon verification, all 300 data were then used to come up with the actual result. The result suggested that there are several factors that may affect the behavior of or give rise to entrepreneurial characteristics.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACTPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi perilaku karakteristik kewirausahaan mahasiswa perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Penelitian ini didasari pada fenomena masih rendahnya jumlah wirausaha di Indonesia yang disebabkan oleh pola pikir masyarakat, terutama mahasiswa yang cenderung memilih sebagai job seeker setelah lulus dari universitas. Peneliti berharap agar penelitian ini dapat membangun SDM dengan karaketeristik kewirausahaan, terutama pada mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatakan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan survei melalui elektronik kuesioner sebagai metode pengumpulan sampel. Sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 300 mahasiswa aktif di Universitas Pelita Harapan. Data diolah dengan analisis validitas dan reliabilitas dengan menggunakan software SPSS sebagai aplikasi pengolahan data. Dari hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tujuh variabel berpengaruh secara siginifikan untuk membangun karakteristik perilaku kewirausahaan pada mahasiswa Universitas Pelita Harapan, yaitu: taking calculated risks, persistence, commitment, goal of definition, systematic planning, persuasion, dan independence.

Abstract

Indonesia has the least number of entrepreneurs of only 3,10% of the population in 2020, compared to other countries, which have above 4% on average. The goal of this study is to identify the factors that influence the development of a sustainable entrepreneurial mindset in college students at a private university in Indonesia with the entrepreneurial climate at the university as the moderating variable. The study adopted a quantitative type of research with purposive sampling. The data was collected using an online survey distributed to management students at the private university. The total number of respondents recruited is 175 college students. SMART PLS 3 was used as a tool for data processing for validity, reliability, and hypothesis testing. The study revealed an interesting result: entrepreneurship curriculum and supply teaching model have a positive effect on the entrepreneurial mindset. Bahasa Indonesia Abstrak: Indonesia sebagai negara dengan jumlah populasi 271,35 juta di tahun 2020 hanya memiliki pengusaha 3,10% dari populasi, jauh lebih rendah dibandingkan negara tetangga lain yang rata-rata memiliki lebih dari 4% pengusaha dibandingkan populasinya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi faktor yang memengaruhi pembentukan pola pikir kewirausahaan pada mahasiswa di sebuah universitas swasta di Indonesia, dengan kondisi kewirausahaan sebagai variabel moderasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan survei secara online yang didistribusikan kepada mahasiswa program manajemen di universitas swasta tempat penelitian dilakukan. Jumlah responden yang terjaring adalah 175 mahasiswa. Data diproses dengan menggunakan SMART PLS 3 untuk melakukan tes validitas, reliabilitas dan hipotesis. Penelitian menemukan bahwa kurikulum kewirausahaan dan model pembelajaran ”˜supply’ memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap pembentukan pola pikir kewirausahaan.

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of transformational leadership, motivation, career development, and work environment on employee performance, using job satisfaction as a mediator. We used the cross-sectional method to obtain quantitative data through an online questionnaire. We obtained all demographic data from 108 employees of BUMN XYZ Tahuna who had worked for at least one year. The data obtained was analyzed using SmartPLS software. The results demonstrate a positive correlation between transformational leadership, motivation, career development, work environment, and job satisfaction with employee performance. However, transformational leadership and work environment do not show a significant relationship, either directly or with employee performance, even when mediated by job satisfaction. This research yields managerial implications that can assist BUMN XYZ Tahuna in improving employee performance. This research has several limitations, followed by suggestions for future research.
