Abstract

Educational tourism is one of tourism type from the form of alternative tourism that has been developed between the conventional tourism era and modern tourism era. Generally, alternative tourism tends to develop according to sustainability principals. The packaging of tourism destination potential, Batur Global Geopark into educational tourism is a fundamental step of tourism product’s diversification in Bali. Therefore, the tourism potential in Batur-caldera Bali is supporting to be developed or packaged as an educational tourism, which is in accordance with Global Geopark Network (GGN) objectives. This study combines the quantitative and qualitative methodologies (multi-method), which are presented in the form of descriptions. The information will be analysed to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT). It formulated appropriate educational tourism product strategies by the elements; attraction, accessibilities, amenities, a supporting organisation (ancillary), activity, available package and community involvement. Furthermore, this study will also identify the factors of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges of educational tourism product development in the tourist area of Batur Global Geopark.

Abstract

Pandemi covid 19 memaksa daya tarik wisata untuk memberikan kualitas layanan yang dapat memuaskan pengunjung tidak terkecuali Kebun Raya Eka Karya Bali. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengukur tingkat kepuasan pengunjung Kebun Raya Berdasarkan 100 sampel yang dikumpulkan penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif, tingkat kepuasan pengunjung (CSI), gap analysis, dan analisis kepentingan-kinerja (IPA). Hasil penelitian membuktikan pengunjung merasa puas dengan kinerja pelayanan yang diberikan oleh pihak Kebun Raya Eka Karya Bali dengan nilai CSI 81,65%. Terdapat atribut dari kualitas pelayanan yang memerlukan perhatian untuk diperbaiki dan tingkatan. Hasil analisis gap dan diagram kartesius atribut area parkir roda dua dan empat, Tourist Information Centre, fasilitas toilet, fasilitas taman flora, tempat atau bak sampah dan harga paket wisata. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan prioritas utama yang perlu mendapatkan perhatian karena belum sesuai harapan adalah kemudahan mencapai lokasi serta perbaikan pada kualitas layanan sumber daya manusia.

Abstract

The growth of MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Conference, and Exhibition)Tourism and a requirement to incorporate the principle of sustainability in the management of tourism sector, bring such a concept of sustainable development for business which called as Sustainable Event Management. This study determines the characteristic of MICE Tourism and discovers the reason why Nusa Dua Resort, Bali, becomes a well known MICE tourism destination. Besides, it tries to obtain a clear picture as well as details on how the implementation of the concept of Sustainable Event Management and how it could improves the image of MICE tourism destinations in Nusa Dua Resort, Bali. This destination becomes an attractive tourist area and well known by its capability in handling national and international scale events. Therefore the management of MICE activities at Nusa Dua Resort Bali through implementation of the concept is expected to be even better and could be an example for the rest tourism destination in Bali especially for the sustainable management. This research uses qualitative method with data source collecting was purposive sampling and data collecting method by a combination of observation, interview, questionnaire, and documentation. The research findings describes that Nusa Dua Resort, Bali has MICE destination attributes to accommodate both of national and international scale event in term of: (i) accessibility; (ii) attraction; (iii) amenities and affordability; (iv) ancillary service; (v) special intermediaries; (vi) stakeholder support.Meanwhile implementation of Sustainable Event Management concept based on the checklist guidelines from UNEP (United Nations Environment Program) for Sustainable Event Guide, founds that the Professional Conference Organization (PCO), Destination Management Company (DMC) and MICE Management Team at Nusa Dua Resort beliefs it would bring such economic benefit for the company and gave a chance to involves local community to participate in many forms (employees, suppliers, entertainer), and also inspired their client and other stakeholder to behave in sustainable way. This study concludes that the implementation of the concept subsequently derived some impacts for local community and creates an image of the destination to the business traveler whose use the product itself.

Abstract

The formation of brand image is very important for a company in presenting and expressing the personality of its company. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of brand awareness and brand personality to the formation of a brand image simultaneously or partially, using multiple regression analysis. This study used data collecting instrument questionnaire and take the sample from 114 employees at Room Division Department, The Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali. Based on the multiple regression analysis, it is found that the variable of brand awareness and brand personality simultaneous influence on the formation of brand image. Partially, the variable brand awareness and brand personality significantly affecting the formation of brand image. While the most dominant variable to the establishment of brand image is brand awareness’s variable. From these results it is expected that the management of The Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali keep doing the assessment on how deep the employees understanding on the identity of the company. Then, followed by developing training strategies in which company’s values can be implemented and become an employee’s culture itself.

Abstract

Tourism is believed to deliver both positive and negative impact. This phenomenon occurs in one of the indigenous villages of Baduy tribes, where the village is “isolated” from modern development of urban areas. This study used several variables that written in an interview manuscript, created based on some literatures about indigenous tourism product development; tourism impact perspective, and tourists motivation. The data have been collected are then combined using two approaches both quantitative and qualitative or known as a “multi-method”. Data obtained through questionnaires was presented by the chart (in the form of quantitative), and described into a sentence. While the interview data will be put into the interview manuscript, which subsequently combined with the results of questionnaires and observations. This study found that the Baduy village has a variety of potential that can be packaged as a tourism product, such as: have the cultural and natural attractions that still maintained its authenticity, a location away from the frenetic urban communities began receiving tourism activities. Surveys in this study also found that, variables such as cultural tourism products, local communities and nature is considered very important and can attract urban travelers. This is evidenced by the results of the questionnaire, where tourists visiting Baduy village, dominated by teenagers who mostly still a student and travel in groups. While the motivation of their visit was mostly to leisure in a way out of the urban routine. The effects of tourism activities on the socio-cultural environment, the economy and the environment have not seen significantly. Advice and feedback to the Baduy Tourism Village are to strengthen the rules and regulations village environment so as to anticipate the changes that can occur if the pressure changes constantly occur tourism at the Tourism Village Baduy. In addition, increase the role of local communities should also be improved by involving the community in organizations such as the travel conscious group.

Abstract

 Nusa Dua Resort under management of BTDC (Bai Tourism Development Corporation) Nusa Dua Bali becomes an attractive tourist area in Bali and as one of MICE tourism destination in the world. The growth of MICE Tourism Industry also can cause the risk of long term sustainability of the development. Hence it is necessary to incorporate the principles of sustainability in the management of the event as part of the tourism industry through the implementation of Sustainable Event Management Concept. This research used qualitative method according to the social phenomenon at Nusa Dua Resort regarding the development of MICE tourism in that region. Nusa Dua Resort has MICE destination attributes to accommodate both of national and international scale event in term of: (i) accessibility; (ii) attraction; (iii) amenities and affordability; (iv) ancillary service; (v) special intermediaries; (vi) stakeholder support. Meanwhile implementation of Sustainable Event Management concept that demonstrated by PCO, DMC, and MICE Management’s team in Nusa Dua Resort subsequently derived some impacts for local community and creates an image to the business traveler whose use the product itself.

Abstract

Karya tulis ilmiah ini membahas tentang capaian dari pengelolaan Homestay Bercorak Budaya Tradisional Bali dalam perkembangan pariwisata. Publikasi ini disusun berdasarkan penggunaan metode kualitatif. Semua data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, studi pustaka, dan wawancara dengan pemerhati pariwisata Bali, pemilik homestay dan pengurusnya di Ubud. Semua data dianalisis dengan menerapkan teori fungsi dan teori praktik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil pengelolaan Homestay bercorak Budaya Tradisional ditengah Pengaruh Trend Millennial di sektor pariwisata berupa bangunan pondok yang disusun berdasarkan prinsip arsitektur tradisional Bali bagi wisatawan. Sebagai akomodasi wisata, Homestay bercorak budaya tradisional Bali mengandalkan keindahan dan keasrian lingkungan rumah khas Bali.

Abstract

Desa Tihingan merupakan salah satu desa wisata yang ada di Kabupaten Klungkung. Desa wisata Tihingan memiliki daya tarik wisata budaya sebagai salah satu wilayah pembuat gong atau gamelan terbesar di Bali. Gong atau gamelan sebagai alat kesenian tradisional Bali yang ada di desa tersebut pernah menjadi daya tarik bagi wisatawan, namun karena pengelolaan nilai kearifan lokal yang belum dilakukan dengan baik berimplikasi pada penurunan kunjungan wisatawan. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang berbasis masyarakat di desa Tihingan di manajemen secara lebih baik dan profesional. Dengan mengumpulkan peserta pelatihan dari pelaku usaha dan pekerja bidang pariwisata seperti pemilik homestay, pemandu wisata, pengrajin gamelan, petani, dan wiraswasta melalui kelompok sadar wisata dan pemerintah desa setempat, maka target yang dicapai berupa peningkatan daya saing kepariwisataan melalui kualitas pelayanan melalui edukasi mengenai pemahaman CHSE, sadar wisata dan sapta pesona, kualitas pelayanan berbasis kearifan lokal, perencanaan destinasi wisata dan pelatihan homestay (pengelolaan akomodasi dan pelayanan makanan-minuman). Terdapat pula pelatihan untuk peningkatan kemampuan bahasa asing serta teknik memandu wisata budaya dan juga peningkatan kemampuan sumber daya manusia berupa tata kelola administrasi dan keuangan produk desa wisata, pengelolaan destinasi wisata berkelanjutan dan pembuatan paket wisata, strategi pemasaran berbasis digitalisasi, pengelolaan produk wisata berbasis kearifan lokal, pengembangan dan pengemasan produk lokal berdaya saing global dan tata kelola kelembagaan kelompok sadar wisata. Melaui pelatihan tata kelola desa wisata berbasis kearifan lokal tersebut, masyarakat dan desa dapat saling bersinergi serta lebih peduli terhadap kelangsungan alam serta lingkungan yang menjadi aset utama dalam usaha pengembangan desa wisata Tihingan

Abstract

Selain objek wisata alam yang dimiliki, Desa Jehem juga memiliki keunikan hayati khas desa tersebut yaitu biu batu. Biu batu merupakan salah satu jenis pisang yang memiliki banyak biji di daging buahnya. Pengembangan wisata minat khusus di Desa Jehem perlu dianalisis mengenai keberlanjutan dari kegiatan wisata tersebut. Tujuan penulisan ini untuk dapat mengetahui kelemahan, kekuatan, peluang, dan tantangan bagi pengembangan Desa Jehem. Manfaat dari tulisan ini diharapkan agar dapat mengetahui strategi pengembangannya dalam persaingan industri pawisisata di Bali. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi dan dokumentasi. Melalui analisis SWOT yang sudah dibahas sebelumnya, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa membuat manajemen promosi di social media khususnya pembuatan website yang lebih informative.
