Abstract

This article aims to analyze the effectiveness and challenges the use of AI hardware in PAI is. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method through literature review and documentation, analyzing various sources related to the implementation of AI in religious education. The research results show that AI can enhance student engagement and provide better learning. However, there are several issues: high costs, teachers who are not proficient in using AI, and the possibility of non-compliance with PAI standards. Therefore, the implementation of AI in PAI learning must be carried out with careful planning, appropriate policy support, and adequate training for teachers.

Abstract

This study examines the counseling guidance strategies implemented by the Office of Religious Affairs in West Palu District to prepare bride and groom candidates for establishing a Sakinah Mawaddah Warahmah household. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research analyzes these strategies through the lens of Islamic Law. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that the counseling process integrates religious values and psychological approaches to provide candidates with essential knowledge regarding marital rights, duties, and conflict resolution. From the perspective of Islamic Law, these strategies serve as a preventive measure (Sadd al Dhari’ah) to minimize divorce rates and ensure family stability. This study concludes that structured premarital counseling is vital for achieving the maqasid al shari’ah of preserving lineage and creating a harmonious family foundation..

Abstract

This study aims to first understand the design of the series-parallel of practicum tools by utilizing the used battery of the 18650 Laptop. Second, determine how effectively the series-parallel circuit practicum tools use 18650 laptop batteries. This research is research and development (R&D). The research stages include preliminary studies, product planning and design, product validation and revision, and product tests and revisions. The sample consisted of students from the 2022, 2023, and 2024 batches of the Tadris Science Study Program of FTIK UIN Datokarama Palu. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The data was collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires. The research results were obtained from a practicum tool product consisting of a series-parallel circuit board, voltmeter ammeter digital-based, and input voltage sourced from a used 18650 battery. The results of product validation tests that material experts have carried out have a percentage of 95% with a very feasible category, and media experts have obtained a rate of 95.83% with a Very suitable category. The revised product was then initially tested to receive an assessment percentage of 94.26% in the Very suitable category. Field tests with a limited scale were conducted using revised products with a 98.57% assessment percentage in the Very suitable category. Products that have been made are suitable for use in series-parallel circuit practicums.

Abstract

Rendahnya capaian kapasitas berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam konteks pembelajaran IPA merefleksikan urgensi penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif dan sistematis, serta didukung oleh penggunaan media yang representatif dan stimulatif. Sehubungan dengan itu, penelitian ini dirancang guna mengevaluasi sejauh mana model inquiry-based learning yang dipadukan dengan media video animasi mampu meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada pembahasan materi sistem tata surya. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan rancangan quasi-experimental melalui desain nonequivalent control group. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari atas dua kelas VII MTs Alkhairaat Pakuli. Sampel penelitian ditentukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, yaitu kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Data diperoleh melalui administrasi tes sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan dalam bentuk sepuluh soal uraian yang dirancang berdasarkan konstruk keterampilan berpikir kritis. Temuan analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan model inquiry-based learning yang didukung oleh media video animasi berkontribusi secara bermakna terhadap aspek kritis peserta didik. Signifikansi pengaruh tersebut dibuktikan melalui nilai posttest kelompok eskperimen (81,25) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (72,31). Berdasarkan hasil uji independent samples t-test menunjukan nilai signifikansi (p)= 0,008 (< 0,005), yang berarti terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Dengan demikian, model inquiry-based learning berbasis video animasi efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi sistem tata surya.

Abstract

Fokus kajian diarahkan pada efek penerapan pendekatan Games-Based Learning (GBL) yang dipadukan dengan Kahoot terhadap capaian belajar IPA pada topik sistem ekskresi manusia di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Sindue Tobata. Rancangan yang dipakai bukan eksperimen murni, melainkan quasi experimental dengan format Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Dua kelas dilibatkan tanpa pengacakan: VIII-A sebagai kelompok eksperimen (n=11) menerima GBL + Kahoot, sedangkan VIII-B (n=11) tetap menggunakan cara konvensional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes pilihan ganda. Pengolahan angka memakai Shapiro-Wilk (normalitas), Levene (homogenitas), serta independent t-test. Secara deskriptif, rerata posttest kelompok eksperimen (M=87,64) melampaui kelompok kontrol (M=79,18). Distribusi data berada pada kondisi normal (Sig. > 0,05), kesamaan varians terpenuhi (Sig. = 0,522 > 0,05), dan perhitungan t menghasilkan t = -2,152 dengan Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,044 < 0,05. Artinya, terdapat perbedaan bermakna antara dua perlakuan tersebut.

Abstract

Science learning in schools still tends to be abstract and lacks a connection between the material and students' daily life contexts, resulting in low learning interest. This study is intended to investigate the influence of local wisdom-based science learning through the Culturally Responsive Teaching approach on students' learning interest. It is a quantitative study that has a quasi-experimental design and a non-equivalent control group design with 37 seventh-grade students of MTs. N 3 Parigi, a total of twenty participants were included in the experimental group, and seventeen participants were allocated to the control group. A Likert scale questionnaire with 16 validated statement items measured learning interest data, which were analyzed with the Mann-Whitney U test. The analysis showed that the experimental group achieved a greater mean rank of 23.45 than the control group of 13.76, and the observed difference was significant in statistical terms (p= 0.007, p < 0.05). Learning that connects science concepts with local cultural contexts makes learning more relevant and meaningful for students, thereby encouraging higher emotional and cognitive engagement. This study concludes that local wisdom-based science learning through the Culturally Responsive Teaching approach has a significant effect on students' learning interest.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills is one of the essential competencies that must be developed in science learning, especially in the 21st century, as it enables students to analyze, evaluate, and solve problems effectively. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) learning model based on three-dimensional (3D) media on the critical thinking skill of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 10 Palu on the topic of marine ecosystems. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a non-equivalent control group design. The sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental and control classes, selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was an essay test consisting of 10 questions developed based on indicators of critical thinking, including interpretation, analysis, inference, explanation, and self-regulation. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, Levene homogeneity test, and independent sample t-test at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The hypothesis testing result obtained a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating that there was a significant difference in students’ critical thinking skills between the experimental and control classes after the treatment. These findings suggest that the implementation of the Think-Pair-Share learning model based on 3D media has a significant positive effect on improving students’ critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the forms of audiovisual media utilisation in the Akidah Akhlak subject and analyse student learning outcomes at MIs Karya Thayyibah Limran Pantoloan Boya. The research employs a qualitative case study design to explore the implementation of audiovisual media in depth and context. Data collection was conducted through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, school principals, and students, and documentation of learning materials and student achievement data. Data analysis utilised the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, encompassing data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through triangulation of techniques and sources, member checking, and thick description. The findings reveal that audiovisual media are systematically utilised through animated learning videos, interactive multimedia presentations, and documentary films, integrated with active learning strategies such as viewing guides, group discussions, and creative project assignments. This implementation is supported by adequate technological infrastructure, continuously developed teacher competencies, and ongoing evaluation. Student learning outcomes demonstrate documented improvements across three domains: cognitive aspects, evidenced by increased average scores and mastery percentages; affective aspects, marked by enhanced motivation and positive attitude changes; and psychomotor aspects, reflected in the development of digital literacy, social skills, and noble character formation. This research employs a qualitative approach, supported by quantitative data, to explore these improvements. The novelty of this study lies in its contextual, process-oriented exploration within a madrasah ibtidaiyah setting in Central Sulawesi — a region underrepresented in the existing literature, which experimental-quantitative designs have dominated. This research contributes to achieving SDG 4 by documenting evidence of learning technology's effectiveness in improving the quality of Islamic religious education and preparing generations who are intellectually and spiritually intelligent, as well as competent in facing digital-era challenges.
