Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a model in implementing Pancasila values in the best practice corporate governance (IPCG) and to examine the relation between IPCG and banking performance in Indonesia. IPCG was measured by using index based on the CG principles which had been adjusted to the values of Pancasila. Bank performance was measured by using ROA, ROE, LDR, and OER.                The result shows that Pancasila values have been well implemented in the Indonesian banking. IPCG does not affect ROA and ROE, but negatively effects on LDR and OER, in which LDR becomes lower as IPCG becomes higher, meaning that it has less risk.

Abstract

Although being of less importance to the incidence of the vector-borne disease than mosquitoes, houseflies (Musca domestica) are mechanical transmitters of the disease. The chemical control carried out until now has brought about the emergence of resistance of houseflies against DDT and many other insecticides including organophosphates and carbamates. In order to look for an alternative insecticide which can control houseflies, a study was performed on the efficacy of insecticide belonging to the synthetic pyrethroid group containing 30 g/l of the active substance such as alphacypermethrin. Four dosages of insecticide with active ingredient of 30 g/l alphacypermethrin at dosages of 17.5 ml/ha, 35 ml/ha, 50 ml/ha and 70 ml/ha respectively wereused by fogging against houseflies kept in cages. The result showed that dosages of 35 ml/ha, 50 ml/ha and 70 ml/ha were all effective to kill M. domestica.

Abstract

In the era of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, COVID-19 screening education is essential for the general public, especially for those who undergo assisted reproductive technology (ART) programs. Understanding the preventive measures and precautions of COVID-19 during the treatment process is necessary. Health care staff must also understand the importance of proper COVID-19 screening and control measures. This educational activity is in the form of a YouTube live streaming program that can be followed by the general public, including infertile couples who want to know about infertility, examination procedures, COVID-19 screening guidelines, and the TRB program. Education about COVID-19 screening can minimize stigma and enhance public confidence in the screening procedures. The results of this educational delivery make the general public, especially couples who will undergo the ART program, ready and have the ability to undergo COVID-19 testing, services, and screening. In addition, by providing education and implementing effective screening, we can work together to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and ensure that people receive quality and safe health services.

Abstract

Objective: To measure the comparative sensitivity, specificity, and predictive value of MEOWS and MEWC in predicting morbidity in pregnant patients infected with COVID-19. This research can be one of the screenings used to determine the level of care for pregnant patients with COVID-19. Methods: The retrospective cohort technique was used to examine the 89 pregnant women with COVID-19 who were admitted to the Bantul Regional General Hospital between January and December 2021. Data analysis used the ROC curve to compare sensitivity, specificity, and predictive value. Results: MEWC is better than MEOWS in predicting the morbidity of pregnant patients with COVID-19 infection. This is because MEWC has a better sensitivity (78,3%) and PPV value (78%) than MEOWS, even though it has a lower specificity value (81,8%) and NPV value (82%). The specificity value of MEWC (81.8%), when compared to MEOWS (97.1%), does have a lower specificity value. The results of MEOWS and MEWC data analysis using ROC produce an area under the curve for MEOWS of 74,9% while for MEWC of 80%. Discussion: MEWC has a better sensitivity indicating that patients who do not trigger MEWC criteria will have a low risk of experiencing maternal morbidity. Screening tools will prioritize the sensitivity value compared to the specificity value of the instrument used. A screening tool will have a lower positive predictive value if the study population has a lower prevalence of morbidity. Based on the comparison of the predictive value, sensitivity, and specificity of the MEWC and MEOWS instruments, it can be concluded that MEWC is associated with maternal morbidity with a higher sensitivity than MEOWS, although it has a lower specificity. High sensitivity values will result in screening tools with consistent results. The ROC curve can also show that MEWC has a higher sensitivity value by looking at the Y-coordinate, which is higher than the Y-coordinate of MEOWS. MEWC has a better Receiver Operator Curve (ROC) intersection point than MEOWS, where the MEWC intersection point has the furthest point on the upper left of the ROC diagonal line. Conclusion: MEWC has a higher sensitivity compared to MEOWS, even though it has a lower specificity. High sensitivity values will produce screening tools with consistent results. Keywords: MEWC, maternal early warning system, maternal morbidity, MEOWS

Abstract

Abstract

Objective : This study aims to explore the relationship between micturition disorders and adenomyosis and dysmenorrhea and provide insight into the factors associated with the severity of LUTS symptoms in these conditions. Methods : This study was a descriptive qualitative study. We retrospectively collected medical record data from the Obstetrics Gynecology Outpatient Ward of Dr. Moewardi Surakarta General Hospital in the period January 2021 to May 2023. The results of this study analyzed using Pearson correlation analysis if normally distributed and using Mann-Whitney if not normally distributed, thus, statistically analyzed. Results: There is a significant relationship between adenomyosis and dysmenorrhea on urinary disorders (p value of 0.016) where urinary disorders are found to be more severe in adenomyosis patients with dysmenorrhea. Conclusion : Lower urinary tract symptoms are common in symptomatic adenomyosis patients and greatly affect the patient's quality of life. Dysmenorrhea can be a potential risk factor that increases the occurrence of moderate to severe LUTS. Keywords: adenomyosis; dysmenorrhea; urinary disturbance.
