Abstract

Stunting is a nutritional problem in Indonesia, and there are 10 stunting loci in Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta, one of which is Sendangmulyo Village. Early stunting develops in the womb, so the nutritional status of pregnant women is important to pay attention to. Pregnant women who have a chronic lack of energy have a higher risk of giving birth to malnourished children. The stunting rate is still high, and stakeholders focus on handling children, even though it can also be seen in nutrition during pregnancy. The goal of this community service is to provide education to increase knowledge and to monitor and assist pregnant women with their nutrition and health. A total of seven pregnant women became respondents to this activity and were accompanied for one month in September 2022. Prior to the mentoring, nutrition education was provided on August 9, 2022. The result of the educational activity was an increase in knowledge among the respondents; for example, only two pregnant women received nutrition education and managed their diets well. From both, there was an improvement in nutritional consumption and food variety.

Abstract

The SKI 2023 survey revealed that 81% of students consume foods high in sugar, while a preliminary study found that severe academic stress increases by 34.2% among students aged 21 to 25. High-sugar food consumption is believed to help reduce stress temporarily. This study aims to investigate the relationship between stress levels and the consumption of high-sugar foods among students at Universitas 'Aisyiyah Yogyakarta (UNISA). This analytical observational research employed a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 168 students aged 18 to 25 who were selected using purposive sampling. Data were obtained through the UNISA-UiTM (Universitas 'Aisyiyah Yogyakarta and Universitas Teknologi MARA) 2023 Mental Health research. Respondent characteristics were collected using a structured questionnaire, high-sugar food consumption habits were assessed using the Q-FFQ, and stress levels were measured with the DASS questionnaire. Data collection was conducted both online and offline. Spearman rank correlation analysis was performed, with a significance threshold of p < 0.05. The findings revealed that 39.2% of students experienced stress, while 52.98% had a habit of consuming high-sugar foods. However, the analysis showed no statistically significant relationship between stress levels and high-sugar food consumption (p = 0.11). While no direct correlation was established, high-sugar food consumption remains a concern due to its potential health impacts. Students are encouraged to adopt healthier dietary habits by monitoring their sugar intake, reading nutritional labels, and limiting high-sugar foods to 1–3 times per week. Promoting awareness of balanced diets and stress management techniques may help improve students' mental and physical well-being.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Menstruasi merupakan proses keluarnya darah yang sehat dari area rahim yang kemudian mengalir keluar dari tubuh melalui vagina. Salah satu permasalahan yang sering muncul pada remaja adalah siklus menstruasi yang tidak teratur ataupun gangguan siklus menstruasi. Faktor yang mempengaruhi gangguan siklus menstruasi salah satunya yaitu kebiasaan konsumsi fast food. Kebiasaan konsumsi  fast food  beresiko 5,6 kali lebih besar mengalami gangguan menstruasi.Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui hubungan kebiasaan konsumsi fast food dengan gangguan siklus menstruasi pada remaja putri di SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta.Metode: Jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain cross sectional. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah remaja putri usia 15-18 tahun di SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta yang berjumlah 38 orang. Teknik sampling menggunakan purposive sampling. Data kebiasaan konsumsi fast food pada penelitian ini diperoleh melalui wawancara menggunakan kuesioner Qualitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (Q-FFQ). Data siklus menstruasi pada penelitian ini diperoleh melalui wawancara menggunakan kuesioner siklus menstruasi. Analisis data menggunakan chi-square (p-value 0,05).Hasil:  Hasil uji chi-square  menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kebiasaan konsumsi fast food dengan gangguan siklus menstruasi pada remaja putri di SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta dengan (p = 0,001 dan OR = 11).Kesimpulan: Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kebiasaan konsumsi fast food dengan gangguan siklus menstruasi pada remaja putri di SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Excess body fat percentage in athlete can affect cardiovascular endurance, body composition, muscle endurance, muscle strength, and flexibility when they was performed. It also, when athletes with a low body fat percentage will have a higher risk of injury. Body fat percentage can be influenced by the adequacy level of macro nutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, fats). This study aimed to analyze the correlation between the adequacy level of macro nutrients and body fat percentage of adolescent football athletes at the PSS Development Center. This study was an observational analytical study with a cross-sectional study design. The sample of this study was 33 adolescent soccer athletes at the PSS Development Center who selected using a purposive sampling technique. The adequacy level of macro nutrient was obtained by a 1x24-hour recall interview method for 2 non-consecutive days. Body fat percentage was measured using a Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) scale. Data analysis was performed using the Pearson Product Moment test with a p-value <0.05. The mean adequacy level of carbohydrate, protein, and fat were 70.26%±21.43; 79.66%±23.32 and 84.97%±24.56, respectively. The mean body fat percentage of adolescent athletes was 13.74%±3.61. This study found no correlation between the adequacy level of protein and fat intake with body fat percentage in adolescent football athletes (p=0.0781 and p=0.0783). However, a significant correlation was found between the adequacy level of carbohydrate and body fat percentage in adolescent football athletes (p=0.0042).

Abstract

Background: Physical fitness is of paramount importance for athletes, particularly for adolescent athletes, in order to achieve optimal physical performance. One element that has the capacity to influence an athlete's physical fitness is the composition of their body, specifically the body fat percentage. The objective of this study is to analyze the correlation between the body fat percentage and the physical fitness in adolescent football athletes. Method: This study was an observational analytical research used cross-sectional design. The sample for this study were 31 athletes from the PSS Development Center who were between the ages of 13-17 years old and willing to participate as respondents. The assessment of body fat percentage was obtained through direct measurement using a bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) scale. The data regarding the subjects' physical fitness was obtained from the PSS Development Center that be held in May of 2023 through the implementation of a bleep test. The analysis of the data was conducted using the Pearson correlation test, with a significance level of p<0.05. Results: The mean body fat percentage and the mean score of physical fitness were 13.69%±4.33 and 48.63±3.37, respectively. Seventy-seven percent of the athletes exhibited a normal percentage of body fat, while the remaining 100% athletes had excellent levels of physical fitness. Conclusion: There was no correlation between the body fat percentage and physical fitness among adolescent football athletes (p=0.5470; r=0.1125). Abstract

Penjamah makanan adalah seseorang yang secara langsung menyentuh atau mengolah makanan, dan bisa menjadi sarana masuknya penyakit ke dalam makanan. Faktor sumber daya manusia berpengaruh besar terhadap kondisi higiene dan sanitasi, salah satunya adalah pendidikan yang mempengaruhi tingkat pengetahuan seseorang tentang kebersihan diri dan lingkungan sekitar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan tentang higiene sanitasi yang dimiliki oleh penjamah makanan dengan penerapan standar higiene sanitasi jajanan di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini melibatkan 40 responden yang diambil menggunakan teknik purvosive sampling. Data pengetahuan higiene sanitasi didapatkan dengan cara pengisian kuesioner dengan 12 pertanyaan pilihan ganda oleh penjamah makanan. Sedangkan data penerapan higiene sanitasi diperoleh dengan cara observasi menggunakan formulir gerai pangan jajan keliling. Data kemudian dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji chi-square (p-value <0,05)menggunakan STATA 14. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa responden, pengetahuan kurang (45%), penerapan tidak sesuai responden (50%). Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan dengan penerapan higiene sanitasi dengan nilai p-value 0,011 (<0,05). Saran bagi responden diharapkan dapat mengikuti pelatihan atau penyuluhan rutin mengenai prinsip-prinsip higiene dan sanitasi makanan. Kata Kunci: Pengetahuan, Higiene Sanitasi, Penjamah Makanan
