Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan “One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design”. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa calon guru fisika yang dipilih dengan teknik random sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan tes pilihan ganda dengan pertanyaan (alasan) terbuka disertai dengan model Certainty of Response Index. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meremediasi miskonsepsi mahasiswa calon guru pada topik rangkaian listrik dengan model simulasi PhET berbantuan lembar kerja. Hasil penelitian pasca pretest diperoleh persentase mahasiswa yang miskonsepsi, terbesar pada konsep: (a) arus listrik pada lampu-2 pasca lampu-1 dicabut pada rangkaian paralel (53%), (b) beda potensial rangkaian terbuka yang mengandung sumber tegangan (48%), (c) gaya gerak listrik dan tegangan jepit (47%), (d) tegangan jepit dan arus listrik rangkaian yang mengandung sumber tegangan paralel (37%), dan (e) arus listrik pada hubungan singkat (28%). Pasca treatment dengan model simulasi PhET berbantuan lembar kerja, hasil posttest menunjukkan 9 konsep (90%) berhasil dipahami dengan baik oleh mahasiswa termasuk yang berstatus menebak konsep, kurang paham konsep, dan miskonsepsi; sedangkan konsep ggl dan tegangan jepit (1 konsep) hanya berhasil meminimalkan pemahaman konsep dan miskonsepsi mahasiswa dengan persentase menebak konsep 22%, kurang paham konsep 17%, dan miskonsepsi 11%. This research used the experiment method withOne-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research samples were students of physics teacher candidates that selected by random sampling technique. The research instrument used a multiple-choice test accompanied by Certainty of Response Index model. The aims of this research was to remediate misconceptions of students of physics teacher candidates on the electrical circuits topic with the PhET simulation model. The results of this research after pretest showed that the largest percentage of students’ misconceptions was on the concept of (a) an electrical current to the lamp 2 after the lamp 1 revoked in parallel circuits (53%), (b) the potential difference of open circuit containing a voltage source (48%), (c) emf and terminal voltage (47%), (d) the terminal voltage and current in a circuits containing parallel voltage source (37%), and (e) current in a short-circuit (28%). The post treatment with the PhET simulation model result showed that 9 concepts (90%) managed to be well understood by the students, including the status of guessing the concept, misunderstandingof  the concept, and misconceptions, while the concept of emf and terminal voltage (1 concept) can only minimize studexxnts’ understanding of concepts and misconceptions with a percentage of guessing the concept of 22%, misunderstand the concept of 17%, and misconceptions of 11%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of crossword puzzle learning media with discovery learning models on student learning outcomes on the concept of sound waves. This research is a quasi-experimental type of research using one class (one samples) only the experimental class using the One Group pretest posttest design. In this study, learning was conducted three times online with the discovery learning model. The instrument used in data collection is an essay test of learning outcomes. The method used to analyze the data is descriptive analysis technique, namely normality test, hypothesis testing with a significance level of 5%. Based on hypothesis testing using parametric statistics t test obtained tCalculate (5.789 > ttabel (2.024) with a significant level = 0.05. where hypothesis one (H_1) is accepted. This shows that there are differences in student learning outcomes before and after learning using learning media crossword puzzle with the discovery learning model. This result is also shown from the increase in student learning outcomes on the posttest test which is higher than in the pretest test with an average value of 76.03% and 65.71%. Thus the use of crossword puzzle media with the discovery learning model affects the results student learning

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce science learning tools using the Discovery Learning model on vibration and wave material to improve student learning outcomes in junior high schools that are valid and suitable for theoretical use. The research method used is the development of a 4D model design which goes through 4 stages including the definition stage, the design stage, the development stage, and the dissemination stage. However, this research is only limited to the development stage. Data collection techniques are through expert validation sheets, practitioner validation sheets, and final semester students. According to the results of this research, it was obtained that implementation of learning by plan and teaching materials had a validity value of 0.85, while for student worksheets 0.87 and learning outcomes tests had a validity level of 0.84 with the criteria based on Aiken (V > 0.80). So that it can be concluded that theoretically it belongs to the very valid criteria and deserves to be tested by other researchers.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pengorganisasian dan penyampaian isi bahan ajar dalam bentuk buku tidak terstuktur dengan baik serta materi pembelajaran banyak yang bersifat abstrak dan rumit yang menyebabkan peserta didik malas untuk membaca apalagi mempelajarinya. Bahan ajar yang cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar adalah modul. Penelitian ini memaparkan hasil penerapan modul pembelajaran Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) pada topik suhu dan kalor. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes uraian tertulis, lembar aktivitas peserta didik, dan angket. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan rerata gain ternormalisasi dan presentase. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa penerapan modul pembelajaran POE pada topik suhu dan kalor dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik yakni nilai gain 0.85 (kategori tinggi). Data pendukung dari penelitian ini adalah rerata persentase aktivitas belajar peserta didik dalam mempelajari fisika topik suhu dan kalor menunjukan kategori sangat baik, sementara respon peserta didik terhadap penerapan modul pembelajaran POE adalah positif. Secara keseluruhan modul pembelajaran POE pada topik suhu dan kalor terbukti praktis dan efektif untuk digunakan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the significant effect of WhatsApp based on Google Classroom and Google Meet with the implementation of the inquiry learning model in physics learning on student learning outcomes. The research was conducted during the Covid-19 pandemic with a DARING learning process, the method used was the pre-experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Suwawa in the academic year 2020/2021 using saturated sampling technique and random selection of classes, obtained by students of class XI IPA 1 as an experimental class, class XI IPA 3 as replication class 1, XI IPA 4 as class replication 2 and class XI IPA 2 as replication class 3. The research instrument is in the form of an essay test of 8 numbers on the Dynamics of Rotation and Sturdy Object Balance with a KKM of 73. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it is known that the t value for each experimental class is replication class 1, replication class 2, and replication class 3 are 4.16, 3.089. , 3.19, 3.386 greater than t table 1.705, 1.739, 1.71, 1.72, it can be concluded that there is a significant positive effect of treatment. Based on the analysis of the N-Gain and the effect size, the N-Gain value for the four classes, respectively, is 0.61, 0.59.0.59, and 0.62 in the medium category, for the effect size value is 1.9 with strong effect interpretation. This shows that there is consistency in the treatment given to student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Thematic Work Lecture Program of Building Village aims to train teachers in Batuda'a Subdistrict to be able to develop IPA learning content. Through this program, it is expected that field guidance lecturers and students will jointly collaborate to help teachers in developing IPA learning content. In addition, with the Real Work Lecture (KKN) program, Thematic Village Building students are expected to plunge into society, interact, socialize, and cooperate with the community. In this program, activities will be focused on training and fostering teachers in Batuda'a Sub-District to be able to develop IPA learning content. This activity was held in Huntu Village, Batudaa Subdistrict, Gorontalo Regency, and was integrated with Real Work Lecture (KKN), Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) of Gorontalo State University (UNG) in 2021. This activity is supported directly by the Huntu Village apparatus, led by the Huntu Village Chief as a partner in this program.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to analyze students’ understanding of electricity fundamental concepts. The research of subjects are 86 students in physics department of UNG who are taking lectures of Fundamental Physics I in 2021/2022 academic year. Data analysis was conducted based on combination of multiple-choice test results Certainty of Response Index scores. The results show the students' understanding of electricity fundamental concepts which includes sub topics: conduction and induction, relation of electrostatic force and distance, electrostatic force resultant, electric field and electric potential, relation of voltage and electric current in conductor, series and parallel circuit, and placement of ammeter and voltmeter in electrical circuits, are still weak by most students, even many students who choose the false answer but are very sure of the answer. The research recommended further research to examine more intensely and more factually about the causes of student failure in solving fundamental problems of electricity, for example using Predict-Observe-Explain model or structured clinical interviews.

Abstract

Learning amid the COVID-19 pandemic underwent significant changes, the implementation of learning which was initially carried out face-to-face at school, became learning from home/belajar dari rumah (BDR). On the other hand, the strategy should make students think at a higher level. Based on observations, it was found that students were still very lacking in understanding physics learning and learning methods that seemed monotonous and boring. So to overcome these problems, the application of a problem based learning model is carried out. This study aims to determine the effect of applying the problem-based learning model in online learning on student learning outcomes in heat material. This type of research is included in the type of quantitative research. The research method used is experimental. Subjects in the study were students of SMP Negeri 6 Gorontalo City in class VII. It consisted of three (3) classes, namely the experimental class, replication 1, and replication 2. The instrument used in this study was a written test (essay) consisting of pre-test and post-test. test. The process of collecting data through written tests in the form of pretest and posttest to see the consistency of the influence of student learning outcomes. The data analysis technique used is the normalized gain test (n-gain), the normality test of the hypothesis test data. The results show that learning by applying the Problem Based Learning model can affect student learning outcomes. This is shown through the hypothesis testing criteria where for the experimental class tcount 7.304 is greater than ttable 2,035, for replication class 1 tcount 8,266 the value is more dominant than ttable 2,037, and for replication class 2 tcount 9,658 is greater than ttable 2,037 so it can be said that the test the hypothesis tcount is more dominant than ttable, this can be interpreted that the Problem Based Learning model is quite influential in student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Collaborative jire becomes one of the solutions that can be used as an alternative to improve learning outcomes and student cooperation. This research aims to produce the development of high school physics learning devices using it-based jire collaborative models in the form of RPP, LKPD, teaching materials and THB in temperature and heat matter. The method used is the Research and Development (R&D) research development model of Jire Collaborative. The results of the study showed: 1) Validation of learning devices reached very valid criteria; 2) The practicality of learning devices is determined through the implementation of learning reaches 87% with excellent criteria and student response questionnaire reaches 83.77% with good criteria; 3) The effectiveness of learning devices is determined through the activities of learners reaching 83.64% with good criteria and the learning outcomes of learners of temperature and heat material with a value of 0.45 with moderate N-gain criteria, Based on the results of the study concluded that the design of learning devices using the Collaborative Jire model based on IT temperature and heat material has met valid, practical, and effective criteria. Kolaboratif jire menjadi salah satu solusi yang dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan kerja sama peserta didik.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran fisika SMA menggunakan model kolaboratif jire berbasis IT berupa RPP, LKPD, Bahan ajar dan THB pada materi suhu dan kalor. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan Research and Development (R&D) model Kolaboratif Jire. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : 1) Validasi perangkat pembelajaran mencapai kriteria sangat valid; 2) Kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran ditentukan melalui keterlaksanaan pembelajaran mencapai 87% dengan kriteria sangat baik dan angket respon peserta didik mencapai 83,77% dengan kriteria baik; 3) Keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran ditentukan melalui aktivitas peserta didik mencapai 83.64% dengan kriteria baik dan hasil belajar peserta didik materi suhu dan kalor dengan nilai 0.45 dengan kriteria N-gain sedang, Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa rancangan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan model Kolaboratif Jire berbasis IT materi suhu dan kalor telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of collaborative learning models on student learning outcomes. This research is true experimental research. The design used is Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sampling technique in this study uses cluster random sampling. This design involves two groups: the experimental group, namely class XI MIPA I, and the control group, namely class XI MIPA II. The instrument used in data collection is an objective learning outcome test. The results of the analysis of hypothesis testing for the experimental and control class show that the experimental and control class t count is > t table for level = 0.05. The average obtained in the experimental class is 91.61 and in the control class, 83.17. It is also supported by the N-gain value obtained for the experimental class which is 0.84 (high) while that obtained for the control class is 0.59 (medium). This concludes that there is an effect of the Jire collaborative learning model on student learning outcomes.
