Abstract

The production process is a way, method and technique for creating or increasing the usefulness of a good or service using existing resources (labor, machines, materials, funds). CV. ABC is a company that focuses on the steel processing industry sector. This company's specialization includes making various products, such as fences, canopies, stairs, and building structures such as warehouses and housing. The purpose of carrying out this activity is to observe the production process of making fences and analyze the production process using a production process map (Operation Process Chart) and Bill of Materials. Based on field observations using the production process map at CV. It can be seen from Tiga Karya Persada Indonesia that making 1 fence takes a total of 795 minutes, consisting of 6 operational processes with a total time of 630 minutes and there are 8 inspection processes with a total time of 165 minutes.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) in the engineering and manufacturing sector through a five-month empirical investigation focused on production processes. Utilizing a combination of literature review, interviews, and direct observation, the research aimed to compare theoretical MRP calculations with actual raw material usage. Results highlighted significant discrepancies between projected and actual figures, indicating potential inaccuracies in current MRP applications. These findings underscore the need for refining MRP systems to enhance forecasting precision and inventory management, suggesting that integrating real-time data and improving algorithmic methodologies could bridge the existing gap between theory and practice in industrial manufacturing. Abstract

This study aims to create a concrete sales forecasting system using the moving average method to predict sales for the next month in order to determine the amount of production that must be supplied in the next period. The study uses the moving average method which is widely used and has accuracy in forecasting. The results obtained mean error of 32630.95, MAD of 224532, MSE of 80977550000, standard error of 318154, Mape of 12.621% and average forecast of 1960074.0. The study implies that the moving average method is an effective tool for sales forecasting and can be used to make informed decisions about production planning and estimating future growth Highlight : The study aims to create a concrete sales forecasting system using the moving average method. The study provides statistical measures such as mean error, MAD, MSE, standard error, and MAPE to evaluate the accuracy of the moving average method. Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic makes the need for a washbasin in a public place to prevent the spread of the virus. However, in practice the available washbasins are still not standardized and not ergonomic. So that in this study an ergonomic washbasin design was tried using the DFMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) method. Because using the DFMA method aims to improve the design. Through this method, it is possible to produce products with a shorter time and the number of components that are more effective in accordance with the function but have better design quality.

Abstract

Beracuan pada Tri Dharma Perguruan tinggi yaitu Pendidikan, Penelitian, dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat, maka setiap mahasiswa setidaknya melakukan pengabdian dalam masyarakat ketika masih duduk di bangku perkuliahan. Pengabdian masyarakat menempati posisi yang terbaik bagi mahasiswa untuk meningkatkan kualitas masyarakat. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pendampingan dan pembekalan yang berguna bagi masyarakat sekitar. Program kerja utama dalam KKN kami adalah “Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Dusun Binangun Dalam Upaya Revitalisasi Wisata Air Terjun Coban Binangun”. Revitalisasi dalam Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia adalah proses, cara, dan perbuatan menghidupkan kembali suatu hal yang sebelumnya kurang terberdaya. Sebelumnya, Coban Binangun merupakan objek wisata yang cukup terkenal di Desa Plintahan. Namun, semenjak adanya pandemi, wisata Coban Binangun menjadi tidak terawat dan terbengkalai. Oleh karena itu Tim KKN-P 70 bersama warga sekitar membangun kembali Coban Binangun yang diharapkan dapat dijadikan sebagai objek wisata sehingga dapat juga dijadikan sebagai mata pencaharian penduduk sekitar Coban.

Abstract

PT. Varia Usaha Beton merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi beton ready mix. Saat ini terdapat banyaknya karyawan yang tidak mengetahui pentingnya K3 dalam bekerja. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis potensi bahaya dalam proses produksi beton ready mix dengan menggunakan metode JSA dan metode HIRARC. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Job Safety Analysis (JSA), dan metode Hazard Identification Risk Assesment, and Risk Control (HIRARC). Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa analisis JSA adalah rata-rata potensi bahaya tedapat adanya debu dan menimbulkan pencemaran udara, selain itu lingkungan dengan tanah yang becek atau basah sehingga banyak pekerja terpeleset. Kemudian hasil dari analisis HIRARC adalah terdapat proses kegiatan yang terdapat risiko dengan level high sebanyak 5 Kemudian terdapat kegiatan yang mempunyai risiko dengan nilai level medium sebanyak 3. Abstract

Produk makanan olahan tempe tentunya sudah tidak asing lagi bagi masyarakat. Tempe yang terbuat dari kacang kedelai dan bahan tambahan pilihan adalah makanan yang tergolong mempunyai protein yang tinggi. Tingginya permintaan akan konsumsi tempe oleh masyarakat pada umumnya membuat para pengusaha pembuatan tempe harus bekerja keras untuk memenuhi permintaan. Metode value engineering adalah salah satu metode yang terkenal dan memiliki suatu potensi keberhasilan yang cukup besar dalam mengendalikan biaya. Teknik ini menggunakan pendekatan dengan menganalilis nilai terhadap fungsinya. Proses yang ditempuh adalah menekan biaya seminimal mungkin dengan tetap memelihara kualitas serta relibilitas yang diinginkan. Dengan pembuatan alat pengemasan tempe menggunakan metode value engineering, akan menambah performa operator pengemasan tempe agar meningkatkan mempercepat pengemasan dan lebih mudah. Metode VE ini juga membantu dalam pemilihan alternative yang terbaik dari segi biaya, tetapi performa, ketahanan, dan keandalan tetap terjaga sehingga akan meningkatkan produktivitas dan menambah keuntungan bagi perusahaan

Abstract

This research is aimed to analyze the influence of ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement (ACFTA) on the financial performance of SMEs in Sidoarjo. The financial performance of SMEs in this study was measured by the level of sales comparation between the period before and after ACFTA. This research applied mix method technique with squids mixed method strategy, especially sequential explanatory strategy. It is a strategy for the researchers to combine the data that was found from one method with the other method. The steps were begun with the researcher collecting the quantitative data by performing different test or Paired samples T-test then continued with collecting the qualitative data by doing library research. The results show that there are significant differences in financial performance; first, it is seen from the sales between before and after ACFTA, and second, it is proven that that the existence of ACFTA significantly affects the sales rate of SMEs.

Abstract

General Background: Workplace accidents significantly impact employee health, productivity, and organizational efficiency, necessitating effective safety and health management strategies. Specific Background: The study investigates the use of the Macro Ergonomic Analysis and Design (MEAD) method at PT Esprobags to improve occupational health and safety measures. Knowledge Gap: PT Esprobags faces challenges in effectively addressing employee health concerns, especially regarding health insurance and workplace conditions, despite increasing demand for safety protocols. Aims: This research aims to identify key health and safety issues affecting employees, utilizing MEAD to analyze and design solutions that mitigate workplace accidents and improve overall employee well-being. Results: The findings indicate that inadequate health insurance and infrequent health checks, along with insufficient drinking water quality and room cleanliness, are primary concerns among employees. The analysis reveals that environmental factors significantly influence employee safety, health, and performance, contributing to a 60.7% variance in the work environment's impact on safety and performance. Novelty: This study introduces a structured ergonomic approach tailored to the unique needs of the manufacturing sector, emphasizing the importance of holistic workplace assessments. Implications: PT Esprobags' implementation of the MEAD methodology can improve employee satisfaction, productivity, and safety, contributing to a broader understanding of workplace ergonomics and occupational health. Abstract

Alkali treatment of natural fibers has a role in removing hemicellulose and lignin layers. This layer prevents the matrix from bonding with the natural fiber cellulose structure. The use of an inappropriate type of alkali will reduce its effectiveness and can even damage the cellulose layer. This study compared the effectiveness of alkaline NaOH, CaOH and KOH in removing lignin and hemicellulose and their ability to maintain cellulose content. The use of the immersion method in alkaline solutions is well controlled. The FTIR characterization test was used to detect functional group changes, the TGV test to detect heat resistance ability, the XRD test to detect structural changes in crystalline and amorphous properties of sansevieria natural fibers. Furthermore, the tensile test to determine the effect of alkaline treatment on changes in mechanical strength Tensile strength. From the test results it was found that the alkaline NaOH gave the best characteristics by detecting the presence of cellulose, tensile strength and the nature of the crystalline atomic structure. Highlights: Effectiveness of Alkali Types: Comparison of NaOH, CaOH, and KOH effectiveness in removing lignin and hemicellulose while preserving cellulose content. Characterization Techniques: FTIR, TGA, and XRD tests used for functional group changes, heat resistance, and structural properties evaluation. NaOH Superiority: Alkaline NaOH treatment demonstrated best results in maintaining cellulose, enhancing tensile strength, and influencing atomic structure.
