Abstract

The development of technology affects people's lifestyles, especially in meeting their daily needs. This is what underlies business actors starting to look at digital marketing marketing. This study aims to determine the marketing strategy of processed fishery products using digital marketing during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted from June to September 2021 in Kendari City. The results of the study show that there is a relationship between the application of digital marketing with sales volume and marketing strategies by utilizing more than one digital by providing an attractive appearance for consumers.

Abstract

"A certified Fish Hatchery Training program for students of the Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries at Halu Oleo University was implemented to accelerate the improvement of student competency in aquaculture. This activity adopted a learning method that combined the delivery of educational material with hands-on practical experience in catfish (Clarias sp) hatchery techniques at the Aquaculture, Hatchery, and Fisheries Production Laboratory of FPIK UHO. This was facilitated by an outreach team and further integrated with an understanding of the catfish marketing aspects. Dividing the students into two groups during the hatchery practice sessions aimed to facilitate the active participation of each individual and allow for more focused supervision by the instructors. The training results indicated that the combination of theoretical education and direct practical experience in catfish hatchery techniques in the laboratory, along with instructor guidance, yielded significant learning outcomes

Abstract

Ekosistem laut rentan rusak akibat dari perubahan iklim, eksploitasi berlebih dan pencemaran laut. Kendala upaya konservasi adalah kurangnya pemahaman publik akan pentingnya melestarikan laut. Peningkatan pemahaman harus dilakukan di berbagai wilayah. Kesadaran siswa mengenai urgensi pelestarian ekosistem laut, dapat ditingkatkan melalui pendidikan yang bersifat interaktif dan berorientasi lingkungan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memberikan edukasi pemahaman ekosistem laut bagi siswa/i SDN 04 Moramo Utara bertema “Pahlawan Kecil Penjaga Laut”. Kegiatan ini berupa pengenalan dan pentingnya menjaga ekosistem laut. Metode yang digunakan presentasi, diskusi dan tanya jawab dengan semua anak didik kelas 1 sampai 6 SD yang berjumlah 136 Murid. Untuk menimbulkan rasa tanggung jawab terhadap ekosistem laut, kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan lomba menggambar yang diikuti oleh murid kelas 1 sampai 4 SD. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukan bahwa siswa/i memiliki antusias yang tinggi terhadap topik ekosistem laut. Mampu menjelaskan fungsi dan kenapa kita harus menjaga laut serta memiliki rasa tanggung jawab akan kelestarian laut.

Abstract

Coral identification is an important competency for marine science students because it supports ecosystem monitoring, coral reef conservation, restoration, and sustainable ornamental coral aquaculture. This community engagement activity aimed to provide students with knowledge and field experience in recognizing coral growth forms and visual characteristics with potential ornamental value. The activity was conducted at Bintang Samudera Marine Education Park, Sawapudo Village, through two main stages: a land-based coral identification simulation and direct field observation. The simulation included lectures, introduction to coral growth forms, identification sheets, photographic documentation techniques, and safety briefings. Field activities involved four diving teams, each consisting of four students, for a total of 16 student divers accompanied by diving assistants. Students without adequate diving skills conducted coral identification exercises in the intertidal zone under lecturer supervision. The participants observed and documented several coral morphotypes with potential ornamental value, particularly branching and tabular branching corals. The activity also stimulated students’ interest in coral transplantation, ornamental coral aquaculture, conservation, and marine entrepreneurship. Future activities should be conducted periodically and incorporate pre- and post-training assessments, standardized photographic catalogues, and coral growth monitoring to provide quantitative evidence of participants’ competency development.
