Abstract

This study aims to examine the contribution of interpersonal communication to marital satisfaction among husbands engaged in long-distance marriages. Using a quantitative approach, data were analyzed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS version 4.1. The findings indicate that interpersonal communication has a positive and significant influence on marital satisfaction. This is reflected in the path coefficient of 0.652 and a sample mean of 0.660. The f-square value for the interpersonal communication variable was 0.741, indicating a large effect size. With a standard deviation of 0.043, the resulting t-statistic reached 15.286—far exceeding the critical threshold of 1.96—and a p-value of 0.000, confirming the statistical significance of the relationship. These results underscore the crucial role of quality interpersonal communication in maintaining marital satisfaction, even in the context of physical separation. The study implies that enhancing interpersonal communication skills can serve as an effective strategy for couples in long-distance marriages to preserve relationship satisfaction and emotional closeness.

Abstract

Some of previous published research has shown a correlation between meaningful work and employee engagement. However, there is no research that reveals how true r and size effect are from the correlation of the two variables. This meta-analysis aims to measure the correlation between meaningful work and employee engagement by considering the effect size. The total sample of this research is 5281 people from 10 studies who are a significant positive correlation with employee engagement at a high level with 95% CI (0.681; 1.004). Furthermore, the result show that good in heterogeneity test and there was no publication bias,

Abstract

The development of information technology, especially the internet, has many positive impacts, but of the many positive impacts, there are several negative impacts, one of which is cyberbullying. Teenagers are the most active social media users in Indonesia and are prone to cyberbullying behavior. There are several factors that cause adolescents to commit cyberbullying, including empathy and the ability to regulate emotions. This study aims to look at the influence of empathy and emotion regulation on adolescent cyberbullying behavior. The subjects in this study amounted to 137 adolescents with characteristics aged 18-25 years, actively using social media, having committed acts of cyberbullying in the last 6 months (such as writing comments using harsh and angry words to others, uploading photos or videos of other people's disgrace (embarrassing) without permission, ostracizing someone in online group activities, and the like). Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires via google form. The data analysis technique uses multiple regression. The results revealed that there was an effect of empathy and emotion regulation together on cyberbullying behavior by 7.2% with a sig. value 0,007. Separately, empathy has a negative influence of 27% with a sig. value 0.002 on cyberbullying behavior while emotional regulation has no effect on cyberbullying behavior with a sig. value 0.526. Therefore, it is important to conduct empathy training so that adolescents can increase their empathy to prevent cyberbullying.
