Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to describe the use of the mind mapping model in the skills of writing historical and cultural narratives for students in semester VI AK 3-4, Department of Islamic History and Culture, UIN Alauddin Makassar. The results of the research obtained are that the use of the mind mapping model can improve students' skills in writing historical and cultural narratives as described below: The results of implementing learning using the mind mapping model obtained in implementing this learning are: in cycle one, the content of ideas there is a very high value gain. good 5 percent while in the second cycle the student achievement reached 55 percent in the very good category. The content organization achieved by students in the first cycle was 13 percent in the very good category while in the second cycle it reached 66 percent in the very good category. Meanwhile, the results of the test for the ability to choose words or diction in the very good category in cycle one were 10.5 percent, while in cycle two it increased to 71 percent which received the very good category. Then the results of the structure and vocabulary choice test in writing historical and cultural narratives in cycle one reached 18.42 percent and in cycle two it rose to 76 percent in the very good category, the results of the spelling and grammar test in cycle one were in the very good category, there was a gain of 13 percent while in cycle two it rose to 71 percent. Apart from that, the results of this research show that the use of the mind mapping model can improve the writing skills of sixth semester students of the Islamic History and Culture Study Program, Faculty of Adab and Humanities, UIN Alauddin Makassar in writing historical and cultural narrative paragraphs. Abstract

This article aims to integrate the wasathiyah paradigm of the Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) fatwa product and the reality of religious social issues in the midst of the pandemic coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).  This article adopts the normative-sociological approach. This article found that MUI fatwa products acted on strong aspects of moderation (wasathiyah), not just issuing fatwas. Various aspects of considerations (al-muwazanat) in fatwa products are marked by revealing strict arguments by expressing the opinions of the Qur'an, sunna, ijma, qiyas, the opinion of the Imam of the school and credible scholars and the views of other experts who support the issuance of fatwa in accordance with the needs of Muslims. The Washatiyah paradigm of MUI fatwa product is not influenced by political interests. It is in accordance with the maqashid al-shari'ah. The paradigm of MUI fatwa was reflected when recommending to Muslims to support and obey the government.

Abstract

 This research investigates the legal protection available for domestic violence (KDRT) victims within unregistered marriages (nikah siri) in Indonesia. It assesses the difficulties arising from the lack of formal recognition for these marriages and evaluates how Maqāṣid al-sharī’ah  principles can improve legal protection and fill existing gaps in Indonesian law. The study proposes integrating Indonesian marriage law principles with national frameworks to enhance victim protection. A qualitative approach is used, including descriptive analysis of legal documents, case studies, and jurisprudential interpretations. Data were gathered through literature reviews, document analysis, and interviews with legal experts. The focus is on how Maqāṣid al-sharī’ah  principles apply to Indonesian domestic violence laws and the role of itsbat nikah in providing legal remedies. Findings indicate that Indonesia's current legal system inadequately supports victims of unregistered marriages, creating significant barriers to justice and protection. The research underscores that Maqāṣid al-sharī’ah ’s focus on safeguarding life and lineage can form a solid basis for legal reforms. Itsbat nikah is identified as a key solution for officially recognizing these marriages and enhancing legal safeguards. This research is distinctive in merging Maqāṣid al-sharī’ah  with Indonesian law, presenting a fresh perspective on improving legal protection for victims in unregistered marriages. By aligning Islamic principles with modern legal practices, the study offers a framework to better support and protect victims. The study's implications suggest that integrating Maqāṣid al-sharī’ah  into legal reforms could strengthen protections and foster a more inclusive legal system.

Abstract

This research describes the effect of using Big Book media based on peer tutors to cognitive abilities in the fifth-grade students at MIN 1 Makassar. This research used quantitative methods with a pre-experimental design one-shot case study. The sample of this study was 57 fifth-grade students. The results of this research have been obtained. First, the use of Big Book media based on peer tutors in the fifth-grade students of MIN 1 Makassar was in the good category with an average value in the interval 113-118. Second, the cognitive abilities were fairly high at intervals of 66-76. Third, the hypothesis test results using one sample t-test analysis indicated the effect of using Big Book media based on peer tutors on the students’ cognitive abilities. Therefore, this study is expected to be a consideration for schools and teachers to use Big Book media to accommodate students' learning needs. Abstrak: Penelitian ini menjelaskan pengaruh penggunaan media Big Book berbasis tutor sebaya terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa kelas V di MIN 1 Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental one-shot case study. Sampel penelitian ini sevanyak 57 siswa kelas V. Hasil penelitian yang telah diperoleh, pertama, penggunaan media Big Book berdasarkan tutor sebaya pada siswa kelas V MIN 1 Makassar berada pada kategori baik dengan nilai rata-rata pada interval 113-118. Kedua, kemampuan kognitif cukup tinggi dengan interval 66-76. Ketiga, hasil uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan analisis one sample t-test menunjukkan adanya pengaruh penggunaan media Big Book berbasis tutor sebaya terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan pertimbangan bagi sekolah dan guru untuk menggunakan media Big Book yang mampu mengakomodasi kebutuhan belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Madrasah culture encompasses the values, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors that are regularly patterned and reflect habits aimed at adapting to the environment, as well as the madrasah's perspective on problem-solving. These cultural elements are shaped through the institution's history and experience. This paper presents the findings of research that investigates the extent to which madrasah culture influences student discipline. The study employs an ex post facto design with a quantitative approach. The research sample consisted of students from a madrasah in Makassar City, selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. The results indicate a significant influence of madrasah culture on student discipline. These findings underscore the importance of strengthening student discipline through the cultivation of madrasah culture, particularly within the context of the studied institution. Abstrak: Budaya madrasah mencakup nilai-nilai, keyakinan, sikap, dan perilaku yang terpolakan secara rutin, mencerminkan kebiasaan untuk beradaptasi dengan lingkungan, serta perspektif madrasah dalam memecahkan masalah. Elemen-elemen budaya ini terbentuk melalui sejarah dan pengalaman institusi tersebut. Artikel ini menyajikan hasil penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengkaji sejauh mana budaya madrasah memengaruhi disiplin siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain ex post facto dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari siswa di sebuah madrasah di Kota Makassar, yang dipilih melalui teknik pengambilan sampel acak sederhana. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh budaya madrasah terhadap disiplin siswa. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya memperkuat disiplin siswa melalui budaya madrasah yang telah dibangun, khususnya dalam konteks institusi yang diteliti.

Abstract

People are restless in the wake of the growing popularity of spirit dolls in recent years. Contemporary Islamic legal clarity is required when determining whether the spirit doll phenomenon is true or false. The purpose of this article is to respond to a study of contemporary Islamic law concerning the spirit doll phenomenon that has alarmed the public. This is a qualitative study that takes a socio-normative approach. Sadd al-żarī'ah is used as a method for tracking (istinbat) Islamic law. The study's findings revealed that people caring for spirit dolls were motivated by a lack of faith and knowledge, dynamism and animism, as well as hedonism. According to Islamic law's teachings, the spirit doll phenomenon is forbidden and must be abandoned. Ulama gathered in South Sulawesi Province's Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) and agreed to prohibit this phenomenon. The implication is that the spirit doll is manifested in every person whose physical body has a shadow or is physically shaped like a human or animal statue. It is, however, prohibited or permitted for girls' toys only. It is hoped that Muslims will avoid practices that could jeopardize religious values by abstaining from the use of spirit puppets.

Abstract

Salah satu masalah yang dihadapi penduduk pesisir pantai adalah sampah dan pencemaran lingkungan, terutama pada masyarakat desa Balangloe Tarowang khususnya dusun Balangloe. Salah satu solusi untuk menangani masalah tersebut yaitu dengan mendorong masyarakat agar lebih sadar akan bahaya sampah dengan melakukan sosialisasi dan pembersihan sampah disekitaran pantai Je’ne-je’ne Sappara. Tujuan kegiatan ini yaitu meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan dampak pencemaran lingkungan. Pelaksaanaan Pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui kegiatan Gerakan Aksi Bersih sebelum dan setelah memperingati acara adat Je’ne-je’ne Sappara yang rutin dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat setempat yang merupakan kolaborasi lintas Program Studi di lingkup Universitas Alauddin, masyarakat, mahasiswa, dan pemuda. Kegiatan tersebut telah terselenggara dengan baik dan lancar sesuai dengan rencana, serta tingginya antusias peserta pada kegiatan tersebut. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak terhadap kawasan pesisir pantai Je’ne-je’ne Sappara untuk menghasilkan lingkungan yang bersih dan bebas limbah, mengubah perspektif masyarakat untuk menghindari pencemaran lingkungan pesisir, dan meningkatkan daya tarik wisata

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas wawasan Al-Qur'an tentang kaum marjinal dalam konteks transformasi spiritual. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analitis terhadap sumber primer seperti Al-Qur'an dan tafsir, serta literatur sekunder. Kaum marjinal mencakup individu atau kelompok yang berada di posisi lemah dalam struktur sosial, termasuk fakir miskin, anak yatim, pengemis, dan budak. Al-Qur'an memperkenalkan konsep al-Mustadh'afin yang merujuk pada kelompok tertindas yang dipandang sebagai subjek transformasi sosial dan spiritual. Dalam QS. Al-Qasas (28):5, Al-Qur'an menegaskan bahwa kelompok ini memiliki potensi untuk memperoleh keberdayaan dan perubahan. Artikel ini juga menyoroti pendekatan Islam yang menempatkan pembebasan kaum marjinal sebagai bagian dari misi para nabi dan visi profetik untuk menegakkan keadilan dan memperbaiki tatanan sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelaan terhadap kaum marjinal bukan sekadar tugas sosial, tetapi merupakan proses spiritual yang bertujuan membangkitkan kesadaran kolektif dan memperkuat peran manusia sebagai khalifah di bumi. Konsep ini relevan dalam membangun solidaritas kemanusiaan dan menciptakan masyarakat yang harmonis dan berdaya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship among philosophy, science, and the truth of the Qur'an, as well as how understanding of the truth of the Qur'an can interact with modern scientific findings. The method used in this study is a literature study with a qualitative approach, analyzing various sources of literature, including scientific works and contemporary interpretations, as well as comparisons with the latest scientific discoveries. This research highlights the importance of contextual interpretation of the revelation of the Qur'an in understanding the truth contained in it, both from a spiritual and scientific perspective. The results show that there is a harmonious relationship between the truth in the Qur'an and scientific principles, although sometimes there are challenges in integrating textual understanding with scientific discoveries. The Qur'an not only provides truths that are eternal and universal but also open to interpretation that can be adapted to the development of science without compromising the essence of revelation itself. In conclusion, the relationship between philosophy, science, and the truth of the Qur'an shows that the two complement each other, where science can be used to delve into the phenomena described in the Qur'an. The implication of this research is the importance of an interdisciplinary approach that combines religious science and science to understand the truth holistically and relevant to the development of the times.
