Abstract

Human development is compulsory by means of an education process, one of which is the educational process at non-formal educational institutions. Non-formal education is an interesting topic, because the education process is community-based, that is, its management contains principles from the community, with the community, and towards the community. This study aims to examine, identify and understand the role of community-based non-formal education management as an effort to increase human resources. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research methods, namely examining, analyzing and developing theories from research results related to the theme of the role of community-based non-formal education management as a form of creating human beings who have capabilities, competencies and character according to the needs of society and the times.The results showed that in community-based education, the community as instructors and learning citizens were the determining factors for the success of non-formal education. Non-formal education which is considered as a complement to and a substitute for formal education has a wider variety of materials being taught. Non-formal education teaches things related to the surrounding environment, and is formed and managed by the community with guidance from the government. In Indonesia, this type of non-formal education is held independently or with government assistance. However, there are still many institutions that have not received attention in the form of accreditation from the government. Even though there are many results that prove that non-formal education graduates absorb more workers because of skills related to current social conditions.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kebijakan pendidikan yang mendukung SDGs pendidikan berkualitas di beberapa negara dan juga untuk memberikan solusi bagi kebijakan pendidikan di Indonesia yang berkaitan dengan SDGs pendidikan berkualitas. Metode yang digunakan yaitu library research dengan mengambil referensi dari buku, website, dan jurnal internasional. Sustainable Development Goals atau yang biasa disingkat SDGs merupakan tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan yang dihasilkan dari KTT PBB pada tahun 2012. Salah satu dari 17 tujuan yang dihasilkan yaitu mengenai pendidikan berkualitas. Untuk mendukung pendidikan berkualitas di semua negara tentu diperlukan sebuah kebijakan pendidikan. Beberapa negara seperti Jepang, Finlandia, Cina, dan Indonesia telah menunjukan adanya kebijakan pendidikan yang diterbitkan untuk mendukung SDGs pendidikan berkualitas. Jepang membuktikan kebijakan yang mendukung SDGs dengan diberlakukannya pendidikan gratis dari pendidikan anak usia dini hingga pendidikan tinggi, lalu Jepang juga melakukan upaya untuk meningkatkan pendidikan kebutuhan khusus. Di Finlandia, SDGs telah menjadi salah satu dari tujuh topik yang ditekankan dalam kurikulum inti untuk pendidikan dasar. Kebijakan pendidikan di China adalah berupaya mengarahkan fungsi pendidikan menuju sumber daya masyarakat dan individu, dan menumbuhkan kualitas pendidikan kewarganegaraan. Di Indonesia kebijakannya untuk peningkatan aksesibilitas dan kualitas pendidikan, peningkatan kualitas pendidik dan sarana pendukung pendidikan, peningkatan layanan pendidikan, dan memperkuat dan mengembangkan pendidikan karakter.

Abstract

Organizational change is a phenomenon that must be faced and carried out by every individual in the organization to achieve organizational goals. Embodiments of organizational change often occur not because it suits the needs of the organization but because of personal interests and power. This study aimed to determine the main factors that can create change, namely the relationship of leadership and political pressure of school principals that influence organizational change in the Public Secondary School in Madura, East Java, Indonesia. This research used a quantitative approach to survey methods. Based on the achievement of its objectives, this study included causal explanation research, the analysis of this study using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and a sample of about 650 people collected from 1000 respondents taken from 130 schools through probability sampling techniques using AMOS software. The results showed that the leadership and political pressure of regional heads were the main factors of organizational change at SMPN (Public Secondary School) in Madura, East Java. Organizational Change depends very much on the role of the political pressure of the regional head through education policy, as well as the role of the principal's leadership in running the wheels of the organization so that the school's goals can be achieved. This study also showed that the principal's leadership as an intermediary variable from political pressure shows no influence because the political pressure of the regional head is directly related to organizational change.

Abstract

Organizational change is a phenomenon that must be faced and carried out by every individual to achieve organizational goals. Organizational change is required by every organization to maintain its existence amid competition and as a tool to achieve organizational goals. In addition, organizational change aims to improve the performance to be better. This study aims to create changes in school organization by analyzing the factors that influence better organizational change. This study was qualitative research which analyzes literature reviews related to organizational change. Considering the data analysis, this study used library research to examine the literature related to organizational change. This research was conducted on research results, library books, documents, and information contained on the internet. The data collected in this study were analyzed qualitatively by considering the research objectives. The results showed that the changes in school organization were caused by political practices,  organizational learning, organizational culture, and  principal leadership. The results showed that the changes in school organization were caused by political practices, organizational learning, organizational culture, and principal leadership. Therefore, leadership greatly influence the factors that can bring about organizational change.

Abstract

Public policy in managing natural disasters in Indonesia has not yet optimal. Nonetheless, there emerge programs to deal with natural disasters as the case of the 2010 Mount Merapi eruption. The government relocated the survivors using the Rekompak (Community-Based Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Society and Settlement) program. Researcher employs interpretative approaches to understanding the reality which experienced by local inhabitants. Rekompak finished in 2014 at Pagerjurang, but this study uncover the side of the survivors who have moved to the new residential area. As the final statement, this study presents that moving residents' residences is not only a matter of physical displacement, but other conditions might hinder the resilience of local inhabitants such as changes in economic and socio-cultural conditions.

Abstract

The development of information technology and the internet affect the abundance of digital information flows. This reflection also indicates that students in Indonesia, who are the digital native generation, have a strong dependence on the internet. In addition, the weak information literacy that plagues educators affects unattractive learning and the quality of students is not adaptable. Therefore, teachers as educators and school library staff as educational staff are required to be competent incapable of information literacy so that they can teach digital literacy continuously. The method in this study uses a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, which is located at Al-Jannah Jambon KB/TK, Pakis District, Malang Regency. The purpose of this literacy improvement training is to improve teachers' understanding and abilities related to digital literacy competencies, provide insight into alternative learning methods that can be used using technology, improve teacher skills in making interactive learning media to build classroom activity. The PAR results show that with the digital literacy workshop on hand puppets, these non-formal teachers feel helped in their efforts to improve digital literacy. On the other hand, teachers also find it easier to be creative.

Abstract

Posisi karya tulis ilmiah yang dipublikasikan oleh mahasiswa sangat penting terutama untuk membekali mahasiswa dengan kemampuan analisis akademik dan juga meningkatkan reputasi akademik Program Studi hingga Universitas akan tetapi muncul berbagai masalah seperti publikasi karya tulis ilmiah terutama karya tulis ilmiah populer yang seringkali tidak memiliki tolak ukur dan panduan yang jelas. Oleh karena itu tujuan program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa tentang publikasi karya ilmiah populer sebagai usaha untuk meningkatan kemampuan akademik dan reputasi program studi melalui sebuah kerangka kerja yang komprehensif. Dalam proses penyusunan kerangka kerja publikasi karya tulis ilmiah populer maka diperlukan tahapan yang sistematik yaitu dimulai dari penyusunan kerangka kerja melalui sebuah buku panduan, melakukan validasi terhadap buku panduan tersebut yang kemudian diperlukan sebuah workshop sebagai sarana edukasi bagi mahasiwa dan hasil akhir buku panduan dievaluasi oleh mahasiswa dan juga dosen sehingga semakin komprehensif. Pada akhirnya dapat disusun sebuah buku panduan sebagai kerangka kerja publikasi karya tulis ilmiah populer untuk mahasiswa yang dapat digunakan untuk kegiatan pelatihan guna meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa tentang publikasi karya tulis ilmiah populer

Abstract

This research aims to describe and find the development of local wisdom based school culture in the Excellent Junior High School. The research design used a qualitative approach. The data collection used interview and observation techniques. The research results showed that the development of local wisdom based school culture in the Excellent Junior High Shcool was significant in term of quantity and quality. The description of the research was by applying some habits such as 5S (Sapa/Greet, Senyum/Smile, Salam/Regard, Sopan and Santun/Polite), nationalism culture (singing Indonesian anthem), literacy culture, clean culture, speaking the local language on Friday, and religious culture. Such habituation was done through some steps such as: giving the idea, clarification, socialization, implementation, and evaluation. An excellent school is a school that applies the local wisdom based school culture since it can give positive values for the students such as raising the value of discipline, politeness, good deed, being committed to the God, smartness, hospitality, cooperation, integrity, and independence. Such habituation can improve the quality of the school and create the academic and non-academic achievement. The proof was the research result as applied in the Excellent Junior High Schools. The schools reached the title of national adiwiyata, became the reference school and pilot project of character education. The conclusion is the local wisdom based school culture implemented consistently can be one of the indicators to be an excellent school in the society

Abstract

Berbagai perguruan tinggi di Indonesia beramai-ramai menggelar program-program yang berkaitan dengan peningkatan wirausahawan baru di antara mahasiswa. Hal ini salah satunya berdasar pada masih rendahnya peringkat Indonesia di Global Entrepreneurship Index bila dibandingkan dengan negara-negara tetangga. Universitas Brawijaya (UB), sebagai salah satu PTN terkemuka di Indonesia, dengan visi menjadi world-class entrepreneurial university, telah secara konsisten menggelar Program Mahasiswa Wirausaha (PMW). Hanya saja, jumlah mahasiswa lulusan PMW yang masih menjalankan kegiatan usahanya tidak sebanding jumlahnya dengan jumlah keseluruhan peserta PMW dari tahun ke tahun. Dalam kajian ilmu Administrasi Bisnis, PMW berkaitan dengan kajian tentang inkubasi bisnis yang bertujuan untuk melatih dan mendampingi wirausahawan baru dalam mendirikan usahanya. Oleh karena itu, pengusul ingin mengetahui pelaksanaan PMW di UB dengan mengambil data dari perspektif mahasiswa yang mengikuti PMW. Responden dalam penelitian ini akan disuguhkan pada beberapa item pertanyaan dalam sebuah kuesioner yang menanyakan pendapat mereka tentang keberadaan fasilitas yang seharusnya ada di dalam sebuah inkubator bisnis. Temuan pada penelitian ini memiliki implikasi untuk mengelola pengaruh dari program pendidikan kewirausahaan yang diadakan oleh universitas dapat mendorong siswa memiliki orientasi menjadi berwirausaha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa lebih cenderung memilih untuk berwirausaha atau pada saat kuliah dapat menjalankan bisnisnya sendiri. Program pendidikan kewirausahaan dapat mengindikasikan setiap komponen sikap (Afektif, Perilaku, dan kognitif) memiliki pengaruh yang cukup besar terhadap niat berwirausaha siswa. Ditemukan juga bahwa pendidikan kewirausahaan memainkan peran penting dalam membina dan mempromosikan kegiatan kewirausahaan pada siswa di ruang lingkup universitas. Sehingga penelitian ini berimplikasi berdasarkan temuan tersebut sangat relevan dengan proses penetapan kebijakan perguruan tinggi, pembuat kebijakan, praktisi, dan instansi terkait dalam konteks pengembangan kewirausahaan. Pengetahuan ini berpotensi memandu lembaga pendidikan dan pembuat kebijakan untuk mengembangkan strategi yang dapat dipahami untuk memajukan kewirausahaan
