Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian inibertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi susu. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode survey, pengambilan data dilakukan secara purposive sampling dengan kriteria sapi perah yang sudah laktasi dan melakukan sampling pada 47 responden anggota KPBS Pangalengan, Bandung. Variabel yang dianalisa adalah produksi susu sebagai variabel dependen (Y), dan variabel independen (X) meliputi pakan hijauan, pakan konsentrat, masa laktasi, masa kering, umur sapi, umur pertama estrus, umur petama beranak, days open dan service per conception. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan analisis statistik mengunakan persamaan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi susu yaitu faktor X1, X2, X3, X4, X5, X6, X7, X8 dan X9 secara bersama-sama berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap produksi susu. Kinerja produksi susu dapat dipengaruhi olehfaktor-faktor independen sebesar 60,1% sedangkan 39,9% disebabkan oleh faktor lain diluar penelitian. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa faktor yang mempunyai pengaruh sangat kuat terhadap produksi susu adalah masa laktasi sedangkan faktor yang mempunyai pengaruh yang rendah adalah masa kering. Kata Kunci: Sapi Friesian Holstein, produksi susu, Masa Laktasi, masa kering KPBS PangalenganFactors Affecting the Production of Friesian Holstein Dairy Cow at KPBS Pangalengan, Bandung RegencyABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the factors that affect milk production. The research method uses a survey method, data collection is carried out by purposive sampling with the criteria of lactating dairy cows and sampling on 47 respondents from KPBS Pangalengan, Bandung. The variables analyzed were milk production as the dependent variable (Y), and the independent variable (X) included forage feed, concentrate feed, lactation period, dry period, age of cows, age at first estrus, age at first calving, days open and service per conception. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and statistical analysis using multiple linear regression equations. The results showed that the factors that affect milk production, namely factors X1, X2, X3, X4, X5, X6, X7, X8, and X9 together had a significant effect (p<0.05) on milk production. Milk production performance can be influenced by independent factors by 60.1% while 39.9% is caused by other factors outside the study. It can be concluded that the factor that has a very strong influence on milk production is the lactation period, while the factor that has a low influence is the dry period.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Usaha Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) “Abita Farm” berada di dusun Dayogo, Desa Banyusidi kecamatan Pakis, kabupaten Magelang. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh CV Abita farm adalah kinerja reproduksi ternak domba belum mencapai efisiensi reproduksi yang baik, sehingga perkembangan populasinyapun menjadi rendah, sehingga target penjualan anakan (cempe) siap potong (umur 5-6 bulan) kurang. Biaya protein yang tinggi menjadi kendala di pedesaan, namun bisa di atasi dengan menggunakan bahan-bahan local yang murah dan tersedia setiap waktu seperti kuning telur, ikan lele, rebung, jantung pisang, dengan starter nasi (MOL). Metode: Pengabdian dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei-November 2024, di Abita Farm Desa Banyusidi, Kecamatan pakis, Kabupaten Magelang, Jawa tengah. Metode pelaksanaan dengan cara memberikan edukasi dan praktik secara langsung. Tahapan pelaksanaan dimulai pemaparan materi dan diakhiri dengan sesi tanya jawab peserta dan narasumber. Selanjutnya dilakukan praktik aplikasi flushing pakan. Pelaksanaan PPM meliputi orientasi wilayah, kesepahaman dengan mitra, penyadaran dan peningkatan motivasi sesuai tema kegiatan, pelatihan teknis dan evaluasi kegiatan flushing. Hasil: Hasil penerapan flushing pakan menunjukan bahwa dari 30 ekor mengalami birahi (estrus) setelah flushing selama 10 hari, kemudian dilakukan IB (inseminasi Buatan) dan hasilnya adalah 80% mengalami kebuntingan dan beranak. Tingkat pemahaman anggota (5 orang) mengaku paham akan Teknik flushing pakan local (100%) namun pemahaman proses pembuatan bahan flushing sebanyak 4 orang paham (80%). Kesimpulan: Disimpulkan bahwa penerapan teknologi flushing pada UMKM Abita Farm berhasil meningkatkan efisiensi reproduksi, yaitu mampu beranak 3 kali per tahun dari semula 2 kali dalam 2 tahun.

Abstract

Peternak harus mengenal teknologi pembibitan dan teknologi pakan yang baik supaya menghasilkan produksi yang baik. Pakan berupa hijauan, leguminosa, dan konsentrat umumnya diberikan kepada ternak domba maupun kambing dwiguna dengan tujuan pembibitan atau penggemukan. Tujuan pengabdian adalah memberikan pengetahuan tentang teknologi pembibitan dan teknologi pakan ruminansia kecil di Kelompok Peternak Berkah Makmur, Desa Banyusidi, Pakis, Magelang Jawa Tengah. Pengabdian ini telah dilaksanakan dan diikuti oleh peserta berjumlah 30 dengan berbagai tingkatan usia. Metode pelaksanaan dengan cara memberikan penyuluhan kepada peternak dengan pengenalan teknologi pembibitan yang salah satunya adalah inseminasi buatan dan pengenalan berbagai pakan serta teknologinya. Tahapan dimulai dengan sebaran kuisioner pre test sebelum kegiatan dilakukan dengan 10 pertanyaan yang diajukan, pemaparan materi pengenalan pakan, penyebaran kuisioner post test kepada peserta dan diakhiri dengan sesi tanya jawab peserta dan narasumber. Kemudian mengenalkan alat dan bahan inseminasi buatan (IB), keuntungan IB, pengenalan siklus estrus dan pengenalan pakan berupa hijauan seperti rumput gajah, raja, gamal, kaliandra dan ampas tahu yang bisa diberikan dengan potensi ketersediaan diwilayahnya, konsentrat serta teknologi pakan hasil fermentasi berupa silase serta pengolahan limbah menjadi produk yang mempunyai nilai ekonomis. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan tentang teknologi pembibitan dan teknologi pakan meningkat di tingkat peternak berdasarkan post test sehingga diharapkan dengan ilmu dan pengetahuan tersebut produktivitas ternaknya meningkat dengan pemberian pakan yang terbaik dan dapat memberikan keuntungan kepada peternak di kelompok ternak Berkah Makmur.

Abstract

The aim of  IPTEKS  activity application is to increase the development community by raising of productivity of beef cattle. The activity of raising beef cattle productivity was done  by preservation of  forage as silage and  straw fermentation, waste of beef cattle as biogas, and organic fertilizer. It was done in 4 villages of Lendah subdistrict, Kulon Progo regency and had cooperation with BPP Lendah. The methods used were education and training by direct application of using technology. This training was followed by 19 groups of cattle in 4 villages those are Jatirejo, Sidorejo, Gulurejo and Ngentakrejo. The material consist of 3 topics those are preservation of forage as silage and straw fermentation, waste of beef cattle as biogas and organic fertilizer technology. Each village made the silo, silage, and bokashi fertilizer. Making of biogas instalation was centered in Nglatiyan I, Ngentakrejo village. The result showed that the societies of 4 villages have made the silo, preserving of forage as silage and  straw fermentation  for  feed,  processed  waste of beef cattle as organic fertilizer for their own fields consciously. Biogas instalation with double system that has been built can be used 4 – 5 hours/day optimally for doing household activity, espsecially for cooking. It can be concluded that 4 villages have built the   silos,   doing   preservation  of  forages   in   form  of  silage   and   straw fermentation, processing waste of cattle as bokashi fertilizer. Biogas production can be used by societies in Nglatiyan I optimally.

Abstract

Research on the physical and chemical quality of weed silage with the addition of corn flour has been carried out. The research was carried out on November 30, 2024 – February 25, 2025 at the Animal Nutrition Laboratory of the Animal Husbandry Study Program, Mercu Buana Yogyakarta University and the Chem-Mix Bantul laboratory, Yogyakarta. The study used an experimental method with a complete random design (RAL) in a unidirectional pattern using 4 treatments, namely P0 (no treatment), P1 (1% corn flour), P2 (3% corn flour) and P3 (5% corn flour), then each treatment was replicated three times. In each treatment, molasses was added 0.6%, and EM4 1%. The observed variables including the physical quality of silage, namely aroma, color, mold presence, texture and pH, while the chemical quality included moisture content, crude protein content and crude fiber content.  The data obtained was tabulated and analyzed by variance analysis, if there were differences, further tests were carried out with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results of the variance analysis showed no significant difference (P>0.05) in the variables of Aroma, pH, and mold presence, but indicated significant effect in the color and texture variables (P<0.05). The average moisture content of the silage in this study was  P0: 54.53%; P1: 57.35%; P2: 55.79%; and P3: 55.42%, crude protein content  P0: 10.27%; P1: 11.00%; P2: 9.58%; and P3: 10.05%, crude fiber content P0: 34.51%; P1: 33.69%; P2: 34.78%; and P3: 36.58%. The results of the variance analysis showed no significant difference (P>0.05) in all treatments. It can be concluded that the addition of corn flour to weed silage affects the quality of Color, and Texture, but does not affect the Aroma, Mold, pH and chemical quality. The use of 1% corn flour produced the best quality of silage.

Abstract

Dayugo Hamlet is one of the hamlets in Banyusidi village which is included in the area of District, Magelang Regency. The number of couples of childbearing age is 70 people with the number of children under five years old (Toddlers) is 23 people. of that number, 5 children under five will experience stunting in 2024. The purpose of this activity is to overcome stunting by improving parenting and increasing understanding of the importance of nutrition for through the consumption of chicken eggs. Therefore, the solution offered is awareness for couples of childbearing age about the importance of nutrition for the growth and development of children in the womb until the age of 5 years.  Empowerment of through consumption patterns and deversification of daily menus. Before the activity, a survey will be conducted about the level of awareness of about parenting and the importance of nutrition. The output targets to be achieved are the emergence of awareness to change consumption patterns and parenting patterns (80%), no more stunting toddlers (0%), there is menu deversification  and toddlers made from free-range chicken eggs.  The activity began with awareness through AMT (Achievment Motivation Training) for pregnant women and mothers with toddlers with indications of stunting. Then training on optimizing the maintenance of free-range chickens, egg processing training and toddlers. The results of the evaluation of the activities carried out through the questionnaire showed that 90% of the participants understood and realized the need for regular consumption of eggs and vegetables and toddlers, and 80% of participants actively participated in the use of yards for vegetable plants and 100% were present in making processed eggs and vegetables and toddlers. The number of stunted toddlers in Dayugo hamlet, which at the beginning of the activity amounted to 5 children, was successfully reduced to 0 children, meaning that the activities carried out were able to provide benefits and could reduce the number of stunted toddlers.

Abstract

Program Ipteks bagi Wilayah (IbW) di kecamatan Pakis bertujuan untuk membantu program pengentasan kemiskinan di kecamatan Pakis, Magelang.  Kegiatan dilaksanakan di 3 Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) di lokasi IbW Kecamatan Pakis yaitu KWT Ngudi Arum, Ketundan, KWT Mekarsari, Nglarangan dan KWT Larasati, Dayugo Banyusidi. Melalui model "Babonisasi" ayam kampung dengan sistem bergulir bagi RTM (Rumah Tangga Miskin) ternyata mampu meningkatkan pendapatan per tahun.  Melalui model guliran indukan dengan kesepakatan pengembalian 2 ekor indukan dalam satu tahun pemeliharaan ternyata akan menguntungkan semua pihak.  Pengelolaan,  aturan perguliran dan administrasi dikerjakan oleh pengusus dari KWT sebagai organisasi penyangganya.  Model "Babonisasi" ini  akan menghasilkan dua keuntungan sekaligus yaitu peningkatan pendapatan RTM sekaligus organisasi sosial penyangganya.  Disimpulkan bahwa model "Babonisasi" ayam kampung bagi Rumah Tangga Miskin akan sangat membantu peningkatan pendapatan dan penyehatan organisasi di desa-desa dengan tingkat kemiskinan yang tinggi.

Abstract

Community Partnership Service activities have been carried out in the Abita Farm sheep business group and the Berkah Makmur livestock group, Banyusidi village, district, Magelang from May to November 2025. The problem in these two groups is the low reproductive efficiency, namely giving birth 2 times in 2 years, which should be 3 times in 2 years for sheep.  The solution to this problem is the use of egg yolks mixed with MOL (Local Micro Organisms) rice as feed flushing, rice MOL making, making a reproductive calendar and flushing techniques. The methods applied are awareness, training, flushing application, evaluation of flushing results and making MOL and mentoring. Flushing technology is applied using egg yolks mixed with MOL given as additional feed to prospective and non-pregnant sheep for 10 days with a dose of 7ml of egg yolk mixed with 5 ml of MOL/head/day, then observation of growth and the onset of bile.  Livestock that are greedy are mated by nature.  The results achieved in the Abita Farm group after 10 days of flushing sheep with an average age of 2.2 years showed that 50% were fertile and immediately mated naturally, while the body weight gain was relatively fixed.  In the Berkah Makmur group with an average age of 2.15 years, 55% experienced lustfulness and an increase in body weight of 189.25 g/day.  The average level of satisfaction of participants showed 22% satisfied and 78% very satisfied with the results of flushing and the ability to apply in sheep farming. To ensure the sustainability of this activity, it is coordinated with the Magelang Regency Livestock and Fisheries Office. It was concluded that the provision of flushing of mixed egg yolk-MOL feed precisely ensures good growth and growth, especially in sheep that are only given forage.

Abstract

The purpose of community service is to increase the income of PKH members of Podosoko Village, Candimulyo, Magelang through the prevention of free-range chicken diseases. The activity starts from May to November 2025. The implementation method is through the technique of raising awareness of the mindset of traditional livestock to business-oriented breeding, disease prevention in free-range chickens, intensive cage making training (demonstration plot), making local microbial starters (MOL) from rice, selection of good chicken seeds, understanding of traditional medicines, assistance in chicken brood and disease prevention with regular vaccination and assistance. This activity is in collaboration with the Magelang Regency Government. The results of the activities achieved were that 60% of participants actively participated in the FGD, 85% understood the importance of doing free-range chicken business, 70% of participants considered the activities to be in accordance with their needs. Chickens fed MOL lay eggs (40%), participants were able to make MOL and were ready to practice it 25%, active in maintenance in the demonstration plot there were 4 people (40%). Participants were very enthusiastic (practicing) the production triangle by 60% by realizing the need to prevent chicken disease (75%) and feeding locally made with fermentation technology (80%) and felt able to be a native chicken entrepreneur with a business orientation through an intensive cage system (85%). It was concluded that this activity was very beneficial for the PKH group, improving knowledge and skills in raising free-range chickens.
