Abstract

Untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah produk kacang tanah, ke depan perlu dilakukan kegiatan pasca panen berupa pengolahan kacang tanah menjadi berbagai produk, misalnya kacang telor, kacang atom, enting-enting, dan produk lain. Namun langkah awal yang perlu ditangani adalah bagaimana agar proses pengupasan kacang tanah yang dilakukan para petani lebih mudah dan efisien, apabila proses pengupasan dapat dilakukan dengan mesin maka produktivitas petani kacang tanah akan meningkat. Perhitungan dan analisa pembuatan alat ini menggunakan perhitungan perencanaan elemen mesin serta analisa teoritis dan rancang bangun permesinan. Spesifikasi pembuatan rancang bangun alat pengupas kacang tanah berfungsi sebagai pemipil, penyiliran dari kotoran, sekaligus sebagai pemilah antara kacang tanah yang masih utuh dengan yang pecah sehingga dapat diperoleh hasil pemipilan yang sudah bersih dan terpisah – pisahkan. System kerja dari alat pengupas kacang tanah ini yaitu dengan prinsip tekanan dan gesekan pada roda penggiling dengan landasan pengupas. roda penggiling tersebut dilapisi karet (rubber Roll) agar kacang tanah tidak mudah pecah. Setelah proses pemipilan, dilanjutkan dengan proses penyiliran dan proses pengayakan untuk memisahkan butiran kacang tanah yang utuh dengan butiran yang pecah. Abstract

The availability of complete land resource data and information is needed to support sustainable agricultural development programs. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of land suitability as well as the limiting factors for rice, corn and shallots in the newly opened land of Bokem Village, Merauke District. Soil samples taken from the field were analyzed in the laboratory. Parameters observed were soil texture, C-organic, N-total, P2O5, K2O, CEC, and DHL. Data analysis was carried out by matching or comparing land requirements for plants and land properties in the study area. The results of this comparison show the level of land suitability for corn, soybeans and peanuts which include S1 (very suitable), S2 (appropriate), S3 (marginally suitable), N1 (currently not suitable) and N2 (permanently inappropriate). The results showed that the land suitability class for lowland rice was classified as marginal suitability class (S3) with limiting factors for nutrient retention (f) and available nutrients (n). For corn plants belonging to the current suitability class are not suitable (N1) with limiting factors for nutrient retention (f) and available nutrients (n), while for shallot plants (S3) with limiting factors for water availability (w) nutrient retention (f) and available nutrients (n). Basically the existing limiting factors can be corrected by fertilizing and liming.

Abstract

Luasnya lahan sawah tadah hujan di Kabupaten Merauke membuat tingginya potensi waktu panen pada saat musim hujan. Peningkatan kualitas hasil panen padi dapat dilakukan melalui pengolahan pasca panen seperti pengeringan dan penyimpanan yang benar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merancangbangun dan melakukan uji kinerja alat pengering biji-bijian sistem bed dryer dengan tungku pemanas tak langsung. Pembuatan alat pengering biji-bijian sistem bed dryer dengan kapasitas menengah dapat membantu petani lokal untuk memperbaiki kualitas hasil produksi panennya. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode rekayasa melalui beberapa tahap yaitu perancangan alat pengering, rancangan fungsional, rancangan struktural, dan uji kinerja. Alat pengering biji-bijin sistem bed dryer memiliki dimensi bak penampung 240 cm x 360 cm x 120 cm dengan daya tampung 2000 kg; diameter kipas 60 cm; temperatur maksimal ruang angin/ruang bertekanan 70°C; kecepatan angin maksimal tanpa gabah 10 m/s sedangkan dengan gabah 7 m/s; daya motor penggerak dinamo single phase 3 kW; volume pemakaian bahan bahan bakar (kayu) sebanyak 1,1 m3. Lama waktu pengeringan berkisar pada 20 jam, dengan kadar air akhir gabah mencapai 12,2 %. Teknologi tungku pemanas sistem tak langsung yang berfungsi sebagai sumber panas dari alat pengering ini mempunyai peran yang sangat penting terhadap kualitas hasil pengeringan, lama waktu pengeringan serta pengoperasionalannya bernilai ekonomis dibandingkan dengan tungku pemanas konvensional lainnya.

Abstract

Tepung sagu yang diproduksi oleh industri pengolahan tepung sagu”Dwitrap” belum memenuhi SNI untuk standar kehalusan yakni lolos ayakan 100 mesh minimal 95% sesuai dengan SNI 01-3729-2008. Tujuan penelitian adalah menghasilkan mesin pengayak pati sagu dengan penggerak motor listrik untuk meningkatkan kualitas mutu tepung sagu pada industri pengolahan tepung sagu “Dwitrap”. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan membuat dan melakukan uji coba alat pengayak pati sagu. Bahan pati yang digunakan yaitu pati sagu Dwitrap. Perhitungan yang dilakukan adalah perhitungan kecepatan pulley dan kapasitas alat sedangkan pengujian pengayakan dilakukan dengan mengayak pati sagu sebanyak 10 kg yang diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Ukuran ayakan yang digunakan adalah 100 mesh. Berdasarkan hasil pengayakan akan diperoleh pati sagu yang lolos dan tidak lolos ayakan. Selain itu, dilakukan juga perhitungan kadar air pati sagu sebelum pengayakan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan suatu alat pengayak pati sagu dengan penggerak motor listrik 1 hp dengan spesifikasi panjang 210 cm, lebar 74 cm dan tinggi 94 cm. Alat ini terdiri dari 4 komponen utama yaitu rangka, corong pengeluaran, pengayakan dan motor listrik. Uji kerja alat dilakukan dengan perhitungan dan analisis. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 10 kg pati sagu dengan waktu yang digunakan 1 menit, hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa selama pengayakan, pati sagu yang lolos ayakan sebanyak 505,64 kg/jam dengan kadar air 11,16 %.

Abstract

Merauke Regency is an area where most of the people work as farmers. Rice commodity is the most widely cultivated commodity by farmers besides vegetables and fruits. Farmers' cultivation practices are still using inorganic/chemical fertilizers to meet nutrient needs. The very high demand for inorganic fertilizers is not followed by their timely availability whenever needed, besides that the market price is quite expensive so that production costs increase. This encourages the use of crop residues in the form of husks as raw material for making compost and livestock manure. Burning rice husks produces husk charcoal containing various nutrients as well as cow dung. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide training on making compost from a mixture of charcoal husks, bran, cow dung and EM-4 to farming communities, village officials, Gapoktan, high school and agricultural vocational high school students. This activity was carried out in stages starting from field observations, provision of materials, training/practice on making compost in Anumbob Village, monitoring and teaching how to pack, label and apply compost to the soil. The combination of rice husk charcoal and cow dung as raw material for compost is able to maintain soil moisture and provide nutrients, improve soil conditions on land with low availability of nutrients and water. In addition, we hope that with this training, agricultural waste that was previously not used can have added value, especially by turning it into compost which is useful for reducing agricultural waste, fertility of agricultural land, and ensuring the sustainability of agriculture in the future.

Abstract

Land evaluation is the process of assessing the potential of land for various types of use to support planning and management, taking into account the physical and chemical characteristics of the soil. Seed Agung Village, located in the Muting District, has the potential for development for robusta coffee. This research aimed to determine the actual land suitability class for robusta coffee plants in Seed Agung Village, Muting District. The method used in this study was a survey conducted on 2 land types, namely mix gardens and fields. Soil samples were taken to a depth of 0-80 cm, which is the layer of soil that can still be penetrated by roots. Data were collected through direct observation, laboratory analysis, and data processing. Data analysis was conducted by matching the results of field observations and laboratory tests with land suitability criteria for robusta coffee plants based on the Technical Guidelines for Land Evaluation for Agricultural Commodities (Revised Edition 2011). The results showed that the mix gardens and field/field were classified in the marginal suitability class (S3), with limiting factors in the form of water availability (wa) and nutrients (na). The practical implication of the results of this study is as a basis for land management planning, namely irrigation management and water conservation and soil fertility improvement through fertilization.

Abstract

The local community in Kampung Mopah Lama has a coconut plantation that is managed independently and independently using traditional equipment. Management of the coconut harvest is still carried out in a traditional way by selling and marketing the coconuts in logs/whole including the coconut fiber and shell. In terms of economic calculations, a whole sales system will greatly reduce its economic value. The purpose of this activity is to introduce coconut post-harvest equipment to the Kokoti farmer group in order to increase the productivity of coconut product marketing in the form of product diversification so that it can increase the added value of coconut fruit products owned by the community. The method used in this PKM activity is the socialization and training of the operation of coconut post-harvest machines which include coconut fiber peeling machines, coconut shell/shell peeling machines and coconut fiber decomposing machines into cocopit. The result of this activity is that the Kokoti farmer group has additional insight into the diversification of coconut harvest products and is skilled in operating coconut post-harvest machines. The application of this technology is expected to be able to support the government's national program in advancing small and medium industries, so that it is hoped that the availability of this technology will be able to trigger the development of household industries.
