Abstract

ABSTRACT            This research was conducted on 27 November 2017 to 21 January 2018 which was held in laboratory of Fishery and Marine Fishery Resources Utilization Faculty, University of Riau. The purpose of this research to know the change of physical characteristics of nets yarn of PE (Polyethylene) material with different diameter soaked in sea water and fresh water. The method used in this research the experimental method, the data change of thenets yarn length obtained are processed according to the formula SNI 08-00889-1989 and then analyzed descriptive. From the observation according to SNI 08-0889-1989 that the PEØ 0.5 mm, 0.8 mm and 1.0 mm experience changes the characteristic of the nets yarn after soaked for 50 days in fresh water and sea water.  The change in the length of mesh yarns soaked in sea water influential when compared to soak in fresh water and each diameter experience changes length different. The largein diameter of the PE then the longer the length of the nets yarn change. Key word :Study changes the physical characteristics of nets yarnsPE, Materials of fishing netsPE, changes in length and elongation of the yarnPE.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research has been conducted in February-March 2017, in Kecamatan Kuala Kampar Pelalawan District, Riau Province. This study aims to compile information and produce an efficient and efficient design of active and passive fishing equipment through an assessment of the construction of fishing gear used by fishermen in Kuala Kampar Sub-district. While the benefits of this research as an information about the identification of construction and design of fishing gear for parties that require especially for fishermen, especially in new fishing technology and business development of the way of making and produce construction and design of fishing gear. The research method used is survey method that is to conduct direct measurement of the components of active and passive fishing equipment used by fishermen and also conducted interviews directly to fishermen in Kuala Kampar waters. Based on the results of field research in Kampar kuala subdistrict, there are semi active and passive fishing tools used by fishermen. Active fishing gear such as fishing net and nets, while passive catch tools such as longlines and waves. The construction and design of active and passive fishing gear in Kecamatan kuala kampar is still simple. The absence of changes in the size of fishing gear and the design of modern fishing gear that dikecamatan kuala kampar because fishermen still follow the making of fishing gear is down.Key words : Identification of active and passive fishing gear, active and passive capture design.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was conducted out in April 2018 in Malang Rapat Village of Gunung Kijang District, Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of moon days on diversity, composition and differences in the catch of kelong bilis. The method used is a survey method and sampling method to calculate the catch. This study was conducted eight days, namely four days of bright months and four days of dark months. The catches of kelong bilis are anchovy, squid, tamban fish. The total catch in the bright moon was 43.4 kg (6480 individuals tails) and the catch in the dark moon was 160.3 kg (202806 individuals tails). The weight composition of the catch in bright months is anchovy 2.5 kg (6%), squid 31.6 kg (73%), tamban fish 9.3 kg (21%). And in the dark month, it was anchovy 82.5 kg (52%), squid 58.4 kg (36%), tamban fish 19.4 (12%). The diversity weight of the kg that has been calculated from both months is 68% and 28%. From the calculation of the t-test, there is a significant difference in the catch of kelong bilis on the month day. Kata Kunci: Kelong Bilis, Month Day, Composition, Diversity

Abstract

This research was conducted on March 31 until 4 April 2014, which took place in the waters of thePambang’s Gulf Bantan District Bengkalis regency Riau province. The metode used in this study isexperimental and survey methods with case studies, namely by direct observation to look the variouslongline fishing activities. The pupose of this studi is to analyze of the catch rate with effectiveness of different sizes oflongline hooks, showing fish catches by different hook sizes, analyze the feasibility of longline effort. Theresults of this research can be an information for researchers, especially for the waters of Pambang’s Gulfon longline gear and longline feasibility effort. The results of this research show that hook rate measuring value of the hooks 7a: 11.1, 5a: 8.9, 7b:10.7, and 5b: 7.6. Based on statistic test One Way ANOVA (Analisysisi of Variance) obtained sig. 0.805 isgreater than the value of α = 0.05 level (p-value> α), its means that there is no difference in fish hook rateby hook. The results of the feasibility calculations for some criteria indicate that longline fishing effortworth forwarded, it can be seen from the value of BCR (Benefit Cost Ratio) of 1.013, FRR value(FinancialRate of Return) by 2.823%, PPC Value (Payback PeriodofCapital) of 35.422 years. Keywords : mini longline, analyze, effort feasibility, Pambang’s gulf
