Abstract

AbstrakHandline fishing is a fishing gear that is widely used by fishermen in Lengayang District in Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra Province with a total of 245 fishing gear. The operation of handline fishing gear by fishermen in Lengayang District is usually assisted by FADs as a means of collecting fish and has never used a dip lamp in water as a fishing aid. To determine the effectiveness of the use of a dip lamp in water, it is necessary to compare the catches from hand line fishing gear with and without the use of a dip lamp in water where the dip lamp in water has a power of 50 watts. Of the three treatments, the highest catch was found in the operation of handlines using a dip lamp in 50 watts of water with a total catch of 23 fish compared to the catch from the operation of handline fishing equipment without the use of dipping lights in water with a total catch 15 tails Key word : Handline, fishing

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research was conducted on 19-29 July 2017 in the Pongkai Istiqomah Village Lake District XIII Koto Kampar Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of different types of lure on the catch of longline fishing gear. This type of lure is to be used in the waters of the Pongkai Istiqomah Village Lake District XIII Koto Kampar, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The feed factor is very influential on the catches. The feed used (both type and size) must be able to provide stimulation for fish and other catches to approach and eat the bait (Boesono et al. 2012). The result of catches using paweh lure (Osteochilus hasselti) (Feed 1) is as many as 22 tails. The most catches using paweh lure (Osteochilus hasselti) (Feed 2) are on the 6 day of many as 4 tails. While the least results are on days 1 and 7 with the result that no fish are caught. The catches using Siban fish lure(Cyclocheilichthys apogon) (Lure 2) were as many as 14 tails. The catch using this bait has an average catch of 2 tails. While the catch using the catfish (Peristolepis grooti) lure (Lure 3) is 7 tails. The most catches are on the 8 day, which is as much as 2 tails. The types of catches during the research is Baung, Toman and Pufferfish.Keyword: lure, longline, longline catches

The purpose oh this research was to determine the longline catches (kg), the type and amount of catches in the morning and afternoon in the Fish Aggregating Device (FADs) in the waters of Bay Village, North Rupat Rhu, Bengkalis District, Riau Province. The method that is used in this research was a survey method, which is taking the catch area Fish Aggregating Device in the morning and evening for 10 days. The catches during the research were 14.8 kg (35 fishes). The types of longline catches of the highest and the lowest in the morning and afternoon of the fish aggregating Device as a whole is composed of fish species Polynemus tectraductylus was 6.84 Kg (17 fishes) which is the highest number of catches, Chirocentrus Dorab was 4.87 Kg (7 animals), Arius sp was 1.62 Kg (4 fishes), Diodon holocanthus was 0.72 Kg (4 fishes), and the lowest longline catches Pristigasteride was 0.75 kg (3 fishes). From the Ttest showed that the entire weight of longline catches in the morning and afternoon showed Thit value = 3.41, while Ttab = 2.22814, it is means that H0 is rejected. This is means that there are differences in longline catches the morning and afternoon Fish Aggregating Device. From the calculation of Ttest showed that there is no differences composition of longline catches in the morning and afternoon at Fish Aggregating Device. Keywords : Catches compotition, in the morning-in the afternoon, longline, fishaggregating device.
