Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) aims to increase the attractiveness of the Batuah Tourism Village, Kutai Kertanegara Regency through designing of the welcome gate. Batuah Tourism Village is a leading village in Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan Province which has Elai fruit as a tourism commodity. To improve the tourist attraction, the gate design is made with the shape of an elai fruit as the main icon. The gate of the Batuah tourist village is located on the Balikpapan - Samarinda axis road, so the design is expected to be attractive and informative. This community service was carried out through discussion with the Head of Batuah Village in order to get an overview of the form and vision to be conveyed. Besides, the community service team made a gate design and presented it to the community of Batuah Village. The official designs that have been approved submitted to the Kutai Kartanegara Regency Government.

Abstract

Jembayan Tengah village is improving itself to transform into an agrotourism village based on community agriculture and creative economy. This community service aims to increase the capability of tourism awareness groups (Pokdarwis) in strengthening tourism in the tourist village of Jembayan Tengah. The method used is training with theory, practice, and tutorials. This service has resulted in Pokdarwis who are capable of being tour guides and formed several models of tour packages that can be offered to tourists.

Abstract

Preparation of Jembayan Tengah Village towards an agro-tourism area based on agriculture and a creative economy is one of the priorities. BUMDes DJT Berjaya in collaboration with the Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) Kampong Seraong to create a sustainable Jembayan Tengah Tourism Village. In terms of organizational governance, BUMDes DJT Berjaya is in crisis, but this organization is open to restructuring management by the community who are committed to advancing the village. This service program is focused on BUMDes management training to improve the governance system and classify business units. In addition, training on the creation and management of village websites was carried out as a first step in digitizing which will work together with kutaicoding.com. The results are an increase in the quality of organizational governance for BUMDes and POKDARWIS as well as the creation of a website that contains profiles, organizational activities and complaint features.
