Abstract

This research seeks to explain the existence of Shia community at Pancuran village, in  Salatiga, Central Java, Indonesa, and how their strategies to survive in the midst society in that region. To obtain data on the Shia community at Pancuran, Salatiga, it was done through in-depth interviews, and observations are preceded by a close observation prior to the study. This research also examines some relevant literatures and documents to the research problem as the secondary data. The theory of religious freedom and cultural identity of religious pluralism in the Shia community are used to describe and to analyze the problem of research based on the obtained data. The results show that the Shia community in Salatiga is not discriminated, and they can live in Salatiga freely along with other religious communities and Salatiga society at large. This is supported by an inclusive attitude among Shia community and society Salatiga in building relationships and communication with people of other faiths. Local knowledge possessed by people of Salatiga can be a social capital for implementing inter-religious harmony.

Abstract

Semarang City is the Capital of Central Java Province, Indonesia which has a lot of potential in terms of culture, tourism, and geographical location. In terms of culture, Semarang has traditional dances such as Gambang Semarang and batik art. The colet batik motif is a technique for making batik that emerged along with the use of chemical dyes for batik. In order to introduce this technique further, mentoring was carried out for youth in the Jangli village cadet youth group by introducing the dab technique as an alternative in making batik motifs with natural dyes. The aim is to develop creativity and potential in order to be able to produce batik commodities that are unique in terms of batik motifs. The goal to be achieved is to cultivate the use of natural dyes in decorating and blocking fabric colors. This service activity was declared successful according to plan, which can be seen based on the involvement of participants and their enthusiasm while participating in the activity and can produce ethnic motifs with the dab technique to the dyeing process with natural dyes

Abstract

Kecemasan dan depresi yang tidak di obati akan mengganggu proses perawatan HIV dan mengarah pada ketidakpatuhan pengobatan ARV (Manavalan et al., 2023), penurunan kesehatan mental dan kesejahteraan pada ODHA berhubungan dengan jumlah CD4, dan jumlah CD4 yang rendah dapat menjadi indikator depresi yang tidak diobati (Ramirez-garcia et al., 2019). Jacobson’s Progresive Muscle Relaxation (JPMR) telah digunakan untuk mengatasi berbagai jenis masalah kesehatan termasuk untuk mengatasi kecemasan dan depresi pada pasien dengan HIV/AIDS. Dengan metode one group pre test dan post test, partisipan sebanyak 20 responden. Dengan kriteria inklusi pasien HIV/AIDS berusia lebih dari 20 tahun, dan mengalami kecemasan dan depresi. Sedangkan kriteria eksklusinya adalah pasien dengan gangguan depresi berat dan terdapat gangguan system neurologis. Menggunakan instrumen Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) untuk mengukur skor pre test dan post test terhadap kecemasan dan depresi yang dirasakan oleh pasien HIV/AIDS yang berobat ke poliklinik Wijayakusuma RSUP Fatmawati. Pemberian intervensi teknik Jacobson’s Progresive muscle relaxation pada pasien dengan HIV terbukti efektif, efisien merupakan metode non-invasif yang sederhana, hemat biaya dan dapat dilakukan kapan saja dan dimana saja untuk menurunkan kecemasan dan depresi pada pasien dengan HIV. Abstract

The community health center (Puskesmas) routinely collects student health examination data in health report books, causing storage, monitoring, and analysis difficulties. This has led to suboptimal health interventions involving parents, schools, and Puskesmas. This research analyzes user needs in developing an electronic-based student health report. This qualitative descriptive study employs the Framework for the Application of System Thinking (FAST) approach. The research was conducted at the Puskesmas Jagakarsa and SD Negeri Cipedak 03, South Jakarta. The study findings indicate utilizing student health report books is not optimal. Based on the needs analysis, there is a necessity to develop an electronic-based student health record. Automated calculation processes and reporting need to be provided by the system with data-sharing mechanisms among users. An interactive and informative dashboard displaying BMI graphs, nutritional status, stunting, anemia, and other physical examination results (dental, eye, ear, hypertension, and others) is essential. A comprehensive and continuous student health history is needed, showing parental health history, student health history, and student immunization history. Digital health transformation in the form of an electronic-based Student Health Report is highly required. This system is expected to enhance the role of parents, schools, and Puskesmas in effectively monitoring student health.

Abstract

Digital transformation plays a key role in the development of the local economy. Candirejo Tourism Village in Magelang is a tourism destination rich in natural and cultural potential. However, the challenge to effectively utilize this potential is the lack of application of modern technology. The use of the SIASET (System Administration and Assets) application was initiated as an effort to improve the performance of Candirejo Village Tourism Cooperative (KDWC) Magelang. This community service programme aims to implement the use of SIASET with a mentoring approach in KDWC Magelang. Through collaboration between academics, students and KDWC, this programme aims to link technology with cooperative needs and improve digital literacy among cooperative members. The mentoring method consists of training, guidance and socialization related to the use of the SIASET application. In addition, the mentoring is carried out taking into account the unique characteristics of KDWC, ensuring that the approach is appropriate to the social and cultural context of the village. The results of this community service programme show a significant impact on the use of the SIASET application. Through intensive mentoring, KDWC members have improved their understanding of the technology and how to integrate it into their daily activities. KDWC's administrative efficiency improved through more structured and transparent financial management.Konteks globalisasi dan perkembangan teknologi, transformasi digital memiliki peran kunci dalam memajukan sektor ekonomi lokal. Desa Wisata Candirejo di Magelang merupakan salah satu destinasi pariwisata yang kaya akan potensi alam dan budaya. Namun, tantangan untuk memanfaatkan potensi tersebut dengan efektif muncul akibat kurangnya penerapan teknologi modern. Penggunaan aplikasi SIASET (Sistem Informasi dan Administrasi Koperasi) telah diinisiasi sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kinerja Koperasi Desa Wisata Candirejo. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mewujudkan penerapan aplikasi SIASET dengan pendekatan pendampingan di Koperasi Desa Wisata Candirejo Magelang. Melalui kolaborasi antara akademisi, mahasiswa, dan pihak desa, program ini bertujuan untuk menghubungkan teknologi dengan kebutuhan koperasi serta meningkatkan literasi digital di kalangan anggota koperasi. Metode pendampingan terdiri dari pelatihan, bimbingan, dan sosialisasi terkait penggunaan aplikasi SIASET. Selain itu, pendampingan dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan karakteristik unik dari Koperasi Desa Wisata, memastikan bahwa pendekatan yang diambil sesuai dengan konteks sosial dan budaya desa. Hasil dari program pengabdian masyarakat ini menunjukkan dampak yang signifikan dalam penerapan aplikasi SIASET. Melalui pendampingan yang intensif, anggota koperasi mengalami peningkatan dalam pemahaman mereka terhadap teknologi dan cara mengintegrasikannya dalam aktivitas sehari-hari. Efisiensi administrasi koperasi meningkat melalui pengelolaan keuangan yang lebih terstruktur dan transparan.

Abstract

Implementation of SISRUTE in Health Centers needs to be a priority in the implementation of RME, there is a discrepancy between the implementation of SISRUTE in Halmahera Health Center and the applicable provisions. This study to describe the implementation of SISRUTE in Halmahera Health Center, Semarang City from the aspects of human, organization, technology, net-benefit. This research using the HOT-Fit method, data collection through observation and interviews. Human aspect, the owner of the SISRUTE account is a doctor but is operated by nurses and midwives on duty, there has been no training to develop the ability to use SISRUTE for HR other than the account owner. Organization aspect, shows the existence of SOP and Decree of the Head of Health Center regarding the delegation of authority to use SISRUTE accounts in Health Centers. The technology aspect of SISRUTE has not been bridged with other Health Information Systems, data integration has not been created between Health Centers and Hospitals, so that referral files are still manual and require re-entry time at the Hospital. Net-benefit aspect, SISRUTE has not been a priority for referral applications so that speed, effectiveness and efficiency cannot be measured.

Abstract

Indonesia faces a double burden of disease, with an increasing prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), such as diabetes mellitus (DM), alongside communicable diseases. This study investigates the determinants of DM prevalence among individuals aged 15 years and older in Indonesia. An ecological design was employed using secondary data from the 2018 Basic Health Research Report, 2018 Welfare Statistics Report, and the 2019 Provincial in Figures Report, encompassing 514 districts across 34 provinces. Data analysis included univariate descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation for bivariate analysis, and multiple linear regression with a backward method to identify significant predictors. The results revealed significant associations between DM prevalence and hypertension (p < 0.001), obesity (p < 0.001), routine blood sugar testing (p < 0.001), good nutrition (p = 0.016), the ratio of general hospitals (p < 0.001), public health centers (p < 0.001), and physicians (p < 0.001), as well as the interaction between hospital and physician ratios (p < 0.001). The model explained 61.5% of the variance in DM prevalence (R² = 0.615), meeting all multiple linear regression assumptions. Prevalence of hypertension, obesity, and higher ratios of general hospitals and physicians were positively correlated with DM prevalence, while good nutrition and greater availability of public health centers exhibited protective effects. The positive association of routine blood sugar testing likely reflects increased screening in high-DM areas. These findings highlight the need for targeted public health interventions, emphasizing obesity reduction, nutritional improvements, and equitable healthcare distribution to mitigate DM prevalence in Indonesia.

Abstract

Changes in consumer behavior in the digital era require Micro and Small Enterprises (MSMEs) to adapt and change various aspects of their business. One of them is digital marketing. An effective marketing strategy today is through social media. MSMEs must display attractive and informative business or product advertisements to attract consumers online. Therefore, the Business Administration Study Program at President University needs training to improve photography skills so that MSMEs can promote products through websites, e-commerce, social media, and other digital platforms. This activity collaborates with the West Java Province Cooperatives, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Service (DINKOP-UMKM). The activity was held on July 22, 2024, at the Computer Lab, President University, Cikarang-Jababeka, Bekasi Regency. This training lasted one full day, with fun classes and adequate facilities. The material provided consists of photography theory and practice, such as photography knowledge, lighting techniques, color theory, and design techniques to enhance the product's appearance. Based on the evaluation results through the questionnaire, it can be concluded that the creative product photography training that was carried out was easy to follow, and participants gained more confidence to photograph and design product advertisements independently. Participants also learned the entire creative process behind product photography, choosing properties, and how to arrange products to get attractive images. At the end of the activity, participants took home the product photography results to be used directly for online business promotions on social media, websites, or other digital platforms.

Abstract

Sirih merupakan tanaman yang digunakan sebagai tanaman obat bagi masyarakat di Indonesia. Sirih tumbuh merambat sehingga tidak selalu memerlukan lahan yang luas. Tanaman ini dapat hidup subur di daerah yang dingin. Sidorejo Lor adalah kelurahan di kota Salatiga, yang berudara sejuk, di mana tanaman sirih banyak ditanam oleh masyarakat. Selain memiliki manfaat sebagai obat, sirih juga dapat menjadi bahan dasar produk olahan makanan dan minuman, yang bernilai ekonomi produktif. Masyarakat yang ingin diberdayakan dalam pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah kelompok Wanita kreatif (KWK) Seroja, dengan anggota ibu rumah tangga dan memiliki usaha rumahan. Dalam situasi pandemik Covid-19, anggota KWK Seroja berharap tetap berkreasi dengan menghasilkan produk ekonomi tetapi dengan bahan dasar yang mudah dan murah. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan contoh aplikatif, bernilai jual, melalui bahan dasar daun sirih, yaitu makanan ringan kripik sirih dan minuman mojito sirih. Selain itu kegiatan ini juga memberikan pemahaman tentang pentingnya produk kemasan sebagai media promosi. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pertama, olahan kripik sirih dan mojito sirih dapat dibuat dengan mudah dan bernilai jual, kedua anggota KWK Seroja paham pentingnya kemasan produk sebagai sasaran pemasaran yang lebih luas.

Abstract

Saat ini penggunaan ponsel cerdas (smartphone) telah menjadi sebuah keniscayaan dalam aktivitas sehari-hari. Dengan fitur kamera yang lumayan canggih pada smartphone memungkinkan penggunanya mengabadikan momen berharga dengan lebih mudah. Menurut survei data pengunaan TIK tahun 2017 oleh KOMINFO terdapat 79,56% pengguna smartphone untuk jenjang sekolah menengah atas. Hal ini mendorong tim untuk melakukan kegiatan pengabdian agar para siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) di kota Semarang memiliki keterampilan fotografi yang memadai menggunakan smartphone sebagai salah satu portofolio mereka atau dapat menjadi bekal mereka dalam menjajaki kewirausahaan melalui fotografi produk. Para siswa dibekali pengetahuan dan teknik fotografi oleh fotografer profesional yang juga seorang wirausahawan dan sekaligus konten kreator yang aktif di kota Semarang. Dengan metode pelatihan yang praktis dan mudah dipahami, memungkinkan para peserta menjadi lebih mudah dan lebih cepat memahami teori dan pengetahuan terkait fotografi produk (makanan). Selama pelatihan para peserta diberikan kesempatan mempraktikkan teknik fotografi produk menggunakan smartphone mereka. Dan mereka diminta untuk memamerkan hasil berfoto yang langsung diberikan komentar oleh narasumber. Sebagai bentuk umpan balik, diambil beberapa contoh foto produk untuk dilihat apakah foto tersebut menarik dan mampu menyampaikan pesan dengan tepat. Selain praktik mengambil foto, di akhir sesi pelatihan para peserta juga dikenalkan teknik pengeditan foto menggunakan ponsel.
