Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi Artificial Intelligence (AI) telah memberikan dampak signifikan dalam dunia pendidikan, khususnya dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran dan peningkatan produktivitas akademik. Namun, masih banyak mahasiswa dan masyarakat akademik yang belum memahami pemanfaatan teknologi AI secara optimal, efektif, dan etis. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta dalam memanfaatkan ChatGPT dan berbagai AI tools sebagai media pembelajaran serta pendukung produktivitas akademik. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui sosialisasi, pelatihan praktik langsung, diskusi, dan pendampingan penggunaan AI tools dalam berbagai aktivitas akademik seperti pencarian ide, penyusunan materi, pembuatan presentasi, penulisan akademik, serta manajemen waktu belajar. Kegiatan ini melibatkan peserta dari kalangan mahasiswa dan generasi muda yang memiliki kebutuhan terhadap peningkatan literasi digital dan teknologi AI. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta memiliki antusiasme yang tinggi dan mengalami peningkatan pemahaman terkait penggunaan AI tools secara produktif, kreatif, dan bertanggung jawab. Selain itu, peserta juga mampu memanfaatkan teknologi AI untuk membantu proses belajar secara lebih efektif dan efisien. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini, diharapkan pemanfaatan teknologi AI dapat mendukung peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dan kompetensi digital masyarakat akademik dalam menghadapi era transformasi digital.

Abstract

Keeping ornamental fish in an Aquarium requires intensive care, particularly in maintaining a consistent feeding schedule and water quality. Negligence in maintenance can adversely affect the Aquarium ecosystem and fish health. Beyond cleanliness, the utilization of technology to create a more natural environment for the fish and a relaxing effect for the owners is still rarely developed. This research aims to design and build a microcontroller-based Smart Aquarium System as an efficient and interactive solution for automated fish care. This automation and educational medium is expected to assist user in managing Aquariums without the need for continuous manual intervention. The System is designed to perform automatic feeding schedules, water purification through a filtration System, and is equipped with a relaxation music player feature to create a more conducive atmosphere. This study employs the Research and Development (R&D) method, which includes the stages of problem identification, data collection, System design, implementation, testing, and evaluation. The System is built using an Arduino microcontroller as the central controller, integrating components such as temperature/water quality sensors, a servo motor for the automatic feeder, a water pump for filtration, and an audio module for the music feature. The test results show that the device functions as designed, where the System is capable of delivering feed precisely according to the determined schedule and maintaining optimal water circulation. The implementation of this Smart Aquarium has proven effective in increasing the efficiency of ornamental fish maintenance and providing added value in the form of convenience through integrated automation features

Abstract

The development of digital technology demands smarter and more integrated security systems, particularly for critical infrastructure such as power plants, which play a crucial role in national energy distribution. Power plant monitoring systems that still use conventional authentication methods like static passwords and RFID have weaknesses such as the risk of theft, forgery, and access misuse. Furthermore, the lack of integration with Internet of Things (IoT) systems means that the monitoring process is not fully real-time and potentially causes delays in detecting intrusions and security threats. This situation highlights the need for a layered security system capable of accurately and dynamically verifying user identity. This research aims to implement facial recognition technology and the Time-Based One-Time Password (TOTP) algorithm as a layered authentication system for IoT-based power plant monitoring. The system is designed to combine facial biometric verification with a time-based OTP code that can be generated independently of an internet connection. The integration of these two methods is expected to improve access security by minimizing the risk of identity spoofing, credential theft, and cyberattacks. The methods used include system design, hardware and software implementation, and performance testing of authentication and IoT integration. The expected outcome of this research is the creation of a more adaptive, reliable security system capable of recording access activity in real time. Therefore, the implementation of IoT-based facial recognition and TOTP can be an effective solution for enhancing protection for power plant monitoring systems, which are vital national assets.

Abstract

Bencana alam merupakan ancaman yang dapat menimbulkan kerugian materiil maupun korban jiwa. Kesadaran dan kesiapsiagaan masyarakat menjadi faktor penting dalam mengurangi dampak bencana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mensosialisasikan Sistem Informasi Mitigasi Bencana Alam berbasis web di Kabupaten Agam, sebagai media edukasi dan koordinasi bagi masyarakat. Sistem ini menyajikan peta rawan bencana, panduan evakuasi, informasi kontak darurat, serta statistik kejadian bencana secara real-time. Metode pengembangan menggunakan pendekatan waterfall, dimulai dari analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, implementasi, hingga pengujian sistem. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem informasi ini mampu meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap risiko bencana, mempermudah akses informasi terkait mitigasi, dan memperkuat kesiapsiagaan dalam menghadapi bencana alam. Dengan demikian, penerapan sistem berbasis web ini menjadi salah satu solusi efektif dalam mendukung mitigasi bencana dan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat.

Abstract

Goals evaluation research is to illustrate the effectiveness of laboratory computer management in TKJ majors in SMKN Padang City in terms of context, input, process, and product dimensions. In this evaluation research approach with a quantitative descriptive approach. The evaluation model implemented is the evaluation of the CIPP model: Context, Input, Process, Product. The method used is a survey method and data collection tools such as questionnaires, observation sheets, and documentation. Research informants consisted of 4 Principal of SMKN, 4 Vice Principals in the field of Sarpras, 4 Head of TKJ, 4 Head of Lab. Computers, 21 TKJ teachers, and 168 TKJ students of class XI in the 2018/2019 school year. The results of research at the TKJ Department in Padang City Vocational School said that: (1). In terms of context, the effectiveness of laboratory computer management in very good condition with the achievement of a percentage score of 86.96%; (2). In terms of input, the effectiveness of laboratory computer management is in very good condition with an average score of 86.46%; (3). In terms of the process effectiveness of laboratory computer management in good condition with an average score of 7.0%; and (4). In terms of product effectiveness the management of laboratory computers in good condition with an achievement score of 77.06%
