Abstract

The population growth in Hulu Sungai Utara District has led to an unsustainable exploitation of natural resources, negatively impacting environmental quality. This study aims to analyze the environmental support of ecosystem services, specifically focusing on water and food provision in the region. The analytical method involves calculating indicative environmental support based on ecosystem services. It includes the classification of ecoregion characteristics (landscapes and natural vegetation types), land cover assessment, and the creation of service/performance maps using the Simple Additive Weighting method. The results indicate a predominance of high to very high categories in the ecosystem service of water provision, covering 71.77% of the total area. Similarly, the ecosystem service of food provision is characterized by moderate to very high categories, with the moderate category covering 30.13%, the high category covering 36.32%, and the very high category comprising 24.83% of the total area in Hulu Sungai Utara District. These findings provide crucial insights for policymakers and local communities to formulate informed strategies and policies for sustainable water and food resource management.

Abstract

AbstrakProgram Studi Fisika FMIPA Universitas Lambung Mangkurat memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan pemahaman materi Olimpiade Sains Nasional (OSN) bagi siswa SMAN 2 Banjarbaru. Melalui program kerja sama yang melibatkan dosen dan mahasiswa dengan pihak sekolah, diselenggarakan berbagai kegiatan pendampingan dan pelatihan yang terstruktur. Pendampingan dan pembinaan OSN di SMAN 2 Banjarbaru merupakan upaya strategis untuk meningkatkan kompetensi siswa dalam bidang sains yang dilombakan. Pembinaan ini bertujuan mempersiapkan siswa menghadapi kompetisi OSN di tingkat Provinsi dan nasional dengan memberikan pembelajaran yang lebih mendalam dan terstruktur. Kegiatan ini meliputi pembekalan materi, simulasi soal, dan pelatihan intensif yang berfokus pada topik-topik yang sering diujikan dalam OSN. Melalui seleksi ketat, bimbingan intensif dari para dosen dan ahli, serta dukungan psikologis, siswa dipersiapkan tidak hanya untuk kompetisi, tetapi juga untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, analitis, dan pemecahan masalah. Hasilnya, para siswa menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman konsep Sains dan kemampuan analisis soal. Program ini tidak hanya meningkatkan prestasi siswa dalam ajang OSN, tetapi juga membangun kemitraan strategis antara dunia pendidikan menengah dan perguruan tinggi, serta memperkuat kontribusi perguruan tinggi dalam pengembangan pendidikan sains di Kalimantan Selatan. Program pembinaan ini juga diharapkan dapat terus berlanjut dan menjadi fondasi bagi pengembangan kompetensi siswa di masa depan.AbstractThe Physics Study Program of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat has an important role in improving the understanding of the National Science Olympiad (OSN) matter for students of SMAN 2 Banjarbaru. Through a collaborative program involving lecturers and students with the school, various structured mentoring and training activities are held. OSN mentoring and coaching at SMAN 2 Banjarbaru is a strategic effort to improve student competence in the science field being competed. This coaching aims to prepare students to face OSN competitions at the provincial and national levels by providing more in-depth, and structured learning. This activity includes providing materials, question simulations, and intensive training that focuses on topics that are often tested in OSN. Through strict selection, intensive guidance from lecturers and experts, and psychological support, students are prepared not only for competition, but also to develop critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. As a result, students showed significant improvement in understanding of Science concepts and problem analysis skills. This program not only improves student achievement in the OSN event, but also builds strategic partnerships between secondary education and higher education, and strengthens the contribution of higher education in developing science education in South Kalimantan. This coaching program is also expected to continue and become a foundation for developing student competencies in the future.
