Abstract

This study aims to find the most effective PR strategy in improving the positive image of the Social Service, P3A Kudus Regency. The research method used is qualitative, producing descriptive data through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, with data checking using triangulation techniques. The results of the study showed that the PR targets of the Social Service for Women's Empowerment and Child Protection of Kudus Regency were divided into two categories: main targets and specific targets. The main targets include the entire Kudus community, while the specific targets are vulnerable communities, namely those who need assistance from the Social Service and who have limited access to information. The Social Service for Women's Empowerment and Child Protection of Kudus Regency builds a positive image through two approaches: direct and indirect. The indirect approach is carried out by utilizing social media as a tool for disseminating information, both through websites and Instagram. While the direct approach involves Social Service staff in carrying out programs in the community, including socialization, community services, and granting rights and obligations to residents.

Abstract

This study analyzes the streaming series film script Saiyo Sakato written by Gina S. Noer. This research used a qualitative descriptive method with a structural approach. This comedy drama set in the intrigue of two families united by Padang cuisine raises the issue of patriarchal culture, especially the issue of polygamy which is spiced with various things that are very attached to everyday life. By analyzing intrinsic elements such as theme, character, plot, setting, language style, and message, it was found that the main characters, Uni Mar, Nita, and Annisa, face an inner dilemma between hope and reality and personal achievement or desire and pressure from patriarchal culture in their families. The storyline tells their emotional and mental journey in adjusting to the presence of a new person in their family. This study emphasizes the intrinsic elements contained in the Saiyo Sakato drama script. The structural method helps explain the elements in the drama script, providing a deeper understanding of the meaning and message of this literary work.

Abstract

This study discusses the public speaking techniques used by members of the Stand Up Indo Kudus Community in their stand-up comedy performances. Public speaking in this context involves the skill of speaking in front of an audience with the aim of entertaining and building effective communication through humor. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using semi-structured interviews to gather in-depth data from active comedians within the community. The findings reveal that frequently used public speaking techniques include voice intonation control to emphasize punchlines, body language to strengthen the narrative, and eye contact to create interaction with the audience. Additionally, improvisation plays a crucial role in handling unexpected situations on stage. Through activities such as open mic sessions and group discussions, the community consistently develops its members’ communication skills, shaping confident, creative, and adaptive comedians in various situations

Abstract

Penyampaian pesan toleransi di Desa Kalirejo, Kudus, tercermin dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan masyarakat, baik melalui khutbah Jumat maupun kegiatan sosial yang melibatkan umat dari berbagai agama. Khutbah yang disampaikan oleh para kyai menggunakan teknik public speaking yang efektif untuk menyampaikan pesan tentang pentingnya saling menghargai perbedaan dan menjaga kerukunan antarumat beragama. Melalui kutipan ayat-ayat Al-Qur'an dan hadis, para kyai menekankan bahwa keberagaman merupakan bagian dari kehendak Allah dan harus dimanfaatkan untuk membangun hubungan yang harmonis antar sesama. Selain dalam khutbah, tindakan sosial seperti membantu keluarga non-Muslim yang berduka dan partisipasi dalam gotong-royong di lingkungan desa menjadi bentuk nyata penerapan nilai toleransi. Tindakan ini tidak hanya mempererat hubungan antarumat beragama, tetapi juga memperkuat solidaritas dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keberagaman agama dan budaya di Desa Kalirejo tidak menjadi sumber perpecahan, melainkan menjadi kekuatan sosial yang memperkuat solidaritas dan kerukunan. Oleh karena itu, pesan toleransi yang disampaikan melalui public speaking dan aksi sosial menciptakan masyarakat yang harmonis, inklusif, dan saling mendukung.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze digital da’wah communication strategies in the Rubrik Religi of Radar Kudus as a local media outlet seeking to balance its da’wah mission with the principles of professional journalism. The focus of the study is directed toward examining how digital communication strategies are implemented to convey Islamic messages that are relevant to the Kudus community. The analysis employs Lasswell’s Communication Model, which encompasses five key elements—who says what, through which channel, to whom, and with what effect. This model is used to examine the role of the editorial team as the communicator, the form and structure of da’wah messages, the digital media utilized, the characteristics of the target audience, and the communicative effects produced. The research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach through rubric observation and literature review. The findings indicate that Radar Kudus implements persuasive, reflective, and educative da’wah strategies using a popular journalistic style grounded in Islamic values. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis strategi komunikasi dakwah digital dalam Rubrik Religi Radar Kudus sebagai media lokal yang berupaya menyeimbangkan misi dakwah dengan prinsip jurnalisme profesional. Fokus kajian diarahkan pada bagaimana strategi komunikasi dakwah diterapkan melalui platform digital untuk menyampaikan pesan keislaman yang relevan bagi masyarakat Kudus. Kajian ini menggunakan Model Komunikasi Lasswell yang meliputi lima unsur komunikasi, yaitu siapa menyampaikan apa, melalui saluran apa, kepada siapa, dan dengan efek apa. Model tersebut digunakan untuk menelaah posisi redaksi sebagai komunikator, bentuk serta struktur pesan dakwah, medium digital yang dimanfaatkan, karakteristik audiens sasaran, dan dampak komunikatif yang dihasilkan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi rubrik dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Radar Kudus menerapkan strategi dakwah persuasif, reflektif, dan edukatif dengan gaya jurnalistik populer yang tetap berlandaskan nilai-nilai Islam.

Abstract

Podcast Login oleh Deddy Corbuzier merupakan medium digital yang menyajikan dialog terbuka mengenai isu keagamaan dengan gaya bahasa santai dan non-formal. Mahasiswa UIN Sunan Kudus, dengan basis pendidikan Islam yang kuat, menjadi audiens krusial untuk memahami efektivitas model dakwah digital ini. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi resepsi mahasiswa UIN Sunan Kudus terhadap konten yang disajikan dalam Podcast Login yang dipandu oleh Habib Jafar. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian menelaah bagaimana mahasiswa memahami, menginterpretasi, dan merespons tema-tema yang diangkat dalam podcast termasuk isu sosial, psikologis, dan budaya populer serta implikasinya terhadap sikap, opini, dan praktik media mereka. Penelitian kualitatif menggunakan metode analisis resepsi (Stuart Hall). Sampel terdiri dari 15 mahasiswa aktif UIN Sunan Kudus yang diwawancarai secara mendalam. Hasil decoding dikelompokkan menjadi tiga posisi resepsi. Hasil menunjukkan adanya variasi resepsi: sebagian besar informan menempati posisi dominant/preferred reading terhadap gaya bahasa yang digunakan dalam podcast—mereka cenderung setuju karena menilai gaya tutur host bersifat santai, komunikatif, dan tidak memihak sehingga mudah dicerna dan memfasilitasi ruang diskusi. Respon yang setuju ini memperkuat kecenderungan mahasiswa untuk mengadopsi pendapat atau framing tertentu pada isu-isu populer, meskipun pada isu sensitif beberapa informan menunjukkan pembacaan negotiated atau oppositional yang merefleksikan nilai agama dan norma kampus.  Faktor penentu resepsi meliputi latar belakang agama, tingkat literasi media, pengalaman pribadi, dan dinamika komunitas kampus. Pembahasan mengaitkan temuan dengan teori encoding/decoding Hall dan konsep konvergensi budaya. Penelitian ini menyarankan pentingnya pendidikan literasi media di perguruan tinggi untuk memperkuat kemampuan analitis mahasiswa terhadap konten digital populer. Resepsi mahasiswa UIN Sunan Kudus bersifat positif dan cenderung setuju dengan format komunikasi yang terbuka, santai, dan non-memihak, membuktikan bahwa gaya komunikasi digital yang adaptif efektif diterima oleh audiens akademik dengan latar belakang keagamaan.

Abstract

The national film industry continues to grow, one example being Bakar Production's film, Joko Songo. This film is significant because it highlights local wisdom and the history of Karanganyar heroes while maintaining their authenticity. Studying this film is crucial to understand how effective management strategies can produce quality work even with limited resources.The main objective of this study is to analyze the production management of the film Joko Songo comprehensively, including planning, organization, budget and time management, and identify challenges and implemented solution strategies. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the production team (producer, director, department heads), direct observation on location, and documentation studies (budget plan and production schedule). Data analysis was conducted using thematic techniques to identify patterns and determinants of success. The results show that the film production management is based on the principle of realism rather than blind idealism, where creativity must adapt to the available budget ("maximizing what we have"). Overall, this study concludes that Bakar Production has successfully implemented structured and professional production management with a focus on cost and time efficiency, team cohesion, and creative adaptation to bridge resource limitations in producing high-quality works that are rich in cultural values.

Abstract

The rise of digital da'wah has shifted religious learning for Generation Z to online platforms, but a clear understanding of their content preferences remains a research gap. This study employed a quantitative approach using conjoint analysis to map these preferences, particularly regarding the concept of da'wah with material on happiness. Data were collected from 180 valid student respondents (Gen-Z) and analyzed to evaluate a combination of four attributes: da'wah character, da'wah material, method, and digital media. The results revealed a definitive hierarchy of preferences, with da'wah material being the most determining factor (importance value: 36.178), followed by media (30.538), method (16.999), and da'wah character as the least influential (16.285). Audiences showed a strong preference for content on concrete social relationships, such as being a dutiful child (utility: 0.057) and having a good partner (0.026), and preferred thematic and advice-based methods over discussion. These findings fundamentally challenge the prevailing influencer-based marketing paradigm, demonstrating that for this demographic, the substance of the message is more important than the persona of the messenger. The study concludes that effective digital da'wah requires a strategic shift toward message-centric management, prioritizing practical, solution-oriented content delivered by competent and inspiring figures.
