Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara Layanan Bimbingan Belajar yang diterima peserta terhadap Motivasi Belajar di sekolah pada kelas VIII MTs Muslimat NU Palangkaraya tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif yaitu penelitian yang memaparkan tentang karakteristik dari data variabel yang diteliti. Populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII MTs Muslimat NU Palangkaraya tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 dengan jumlah 54 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampel random atau sampel acak.instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket yang terdiri dari masing-masing variabel 25 item. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian variabel layanan bimbingan belajar terhadap motivasi belajar dengan menggunakan analis statistik korelasi product moment tangkar, diperoleh r hitung sebesar = 0,55 > r tabel (N = 54-2) pada taraf signifikan 5% tabel r produk moment, yaitu 0,279. Mengingat r hitung lebih lebih besar dari r teoretik maka disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh/ hubungan yang positif atau signifikan antara layanan bimbingan belajar dengan motivasi belajar.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe (1) students' preferences on counselor behavior, (2)student interest in guidance and counseling program, and (2) relation between student preference to counselor behavior and interest to counseling and guidance program. The research was conducted in Junior High School (SMP) in Palangka Raya City with a population of 843 students. The sample of this study is 84 students taken proportional random sampling. The result of this research are (1) students' preference toward counselor behavior is positive, (2) student's interest toward guidance and counseling program tends to be positive, and (3) there is a positive correlation between student preference toward counselor behavior and interest to guidance and counseling program.

Abstract

The training held in the Stimulus Community Partnership Program Community Service (PKMS) is aimed at employees in the UMPR environment. Implementation of assertive communication training using psychoeducational intervention techniques to prevent cyberbullying at SMK Negeri 3 Palangka Raya as a solution to problems faced by students who are in the adolescent phase and tend to be involved in cyberbullying either as perpetrators or victims. Cases of cyberbullying in the school environment do not only involve students as bullies and victims. Incidents of cyberbullying are increasing internationally and are considered a problem both inside and outside of school. Cyberbullying has received attention because it affects many individuals of various ages in a variety of settings, especially adolescents. The training activities were implemented for one day on August 15, 2022. The training participants totaled 150 students. Based on the results of the analysis of the success of the training, 91% of students experienced increased knowledge about cyberbullying and had assertive communication skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship and differences in critical thinking skills between students with reflective and impulsive cognitive styles in learning mathematics in college. Critical thinking skills are an important competency needed to understand and solve complex mathematical problems. Cognitive style, which reflects an individual's preferences in processing information, can affect the way students learn and think critically. The population of this study was 147 students consisting of all students of the 2023 intake who took Mathematics courses, but the sample taken was 64 students. The research instrument used a critical thinking skills test and a cognitive style test. The critical thinking skills test is in the form of mathematical questions that require in-depth analysis and evaluation, while the cognitive style test can use instruments such as the Matching Familiar Figures Test (MFFT) to group students into reflective and impulsive cognitive styles. Analysis of the quantitative data obtained will be analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Statistical analysis can include correlation tests to see the relationship between cognitive style and critical thinking skills, as well as difference tests to compare critical thinking skills between groups of students with impulsive and reflective cognitive styles. The results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship (<0.05) between critical thinking skills and students' cognitive styles in learning mathematics. And there was a significant difference in critical thinking skills between students with impulsive cognitive styles and students with reflective cognitive styles. The differences were in the speed and accuracy of problem solving, evaluation and decision-making skills, and understanding of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the implementation of the Disaster-Resilient Village Program (DESTANA) in Lamandau Regency. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation from eight villages selected as research sites. The findings indicate that budget constraints, limited community training, and a lack of coordination among stakeholders are the primary challenges. Only half of the villages have conducted emergency response simulations, with low community participation. This study highlights the importance of equitable budget distribution, community engagement, and enhanced cross-sectoral coordination. The contribution of this research lies in strengthening community-based disaster risk reduction theory and providing strategic recommendations for more inclusive policies. It opens opportunities for further exploration of the social and cultural factors influencing community preparedness in facing disasters.    Keywords: Disaster-Resilient; Policy Implementation; Preparedness

Abstract

Mass demonstrations are a form of expressing aspirations that are protected by the constitution in Indonesia. However, these actions often have the potential to disrupt public order, especially if they turn into riots or anarchic actions. The Mobile Brigade Unit (Brimob) of the Indonesian National Police has a strategic role in handling these situations to maintain the stability of security and public order. This study aims to analyze the role of Brimob in handling mass demonstrations, the strategies implemented, and the challenges faced. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, involving data collection through interviews, observations, and document studies. The results of the study indicate that Brimob plays an important role in controlling the masses, securing vital objects, and taking action against situations that have the potential to be anarchic. The strategies implemented include a preventive approach through intelligence, layered security, and proportional use of force. However, in its implementation, Brimob faces challenges such as mass dynamics, public pressure, limited resources, and coordination between agencies. This study recommends increasing Brimob's training capacity, strengthening operational equipment, and developing a humanistic and collaborative approach to support success in handling mass demonstrations. With these steps, it is hoped that Brimob can carry out its role more effectively, professionally, and in a balanced manner in maintaining security and order amidst the dynamics of society.

Abstract

Literacy culture is closely related to formal and informal education. Schools have a very important role in instilling a culture of reading and writing in students. Mading can be one way to increase the cultivation of literacy culture. This activity uses a participatory approach that requires the involvement of junior high school students Muhammadiyah Palangkaraya in holding a wall magazine competition. The results of this research are that students at Palangka Raya Muhammadiyah Middle School are enthusiastic about taking part in the existing media competitions, meaning that students need a lighter to be able to make media, which is expected to be the beginning of students' interest in the world of literacy. The main problem with the lack of running of the Mading at Palangka Raya Muhammadiyah Middle School is caused by the lack of motivation in managing the Mading at Palangka Raya Muhammadiyah Middle School, either from teachers or student organizations such as the IPM.

Abstract

Educational philosophy subject is one of mandatory subject that should be taken by student in the first semester of Primary Teacher Education Program in University of Muhammadiyah Palangkaraya. In fact, many students complained about difficulties in understanding the content of this subject. Cooperative learning by using storytelling method is one of the methodologies that can be used in teaching learning process. There are no previous research results that examine the cooperative learning model using the storytelling method, so researchers are interested in researching the implementation of the cooperative learning model using the storytelling method in improving student learning outcomes. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method which focuses on efforts to improve student learning outcomes in educational philosophy subject. This research consist of 2 cycles, In cycle 1 students have not been able to reach the criteria for completion that has been determined. The class average score is 70, with learning completion was 62% or as many as 26 students from total 42 students. Therefore, cycle II has to be taken by the researcher, and as the result of cycle II the students has achieved the criteria for completion that were previously determined, with average score obtained was 85, 85% of students completed their studies (36 students from total 42 students).
