Abstract

The purpose of writing this paper is to description the form of political adaptation the Samin community in Kudus, Central Java at the married don’t written married in Civil Registry Service Office (Dukcapil) and don’t formal school. Data obtained by interview, literature review, and observation. The data was analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. Result, people non-Samin in Kudus City, formal school and married listed in Civil Registry Service Office (Dukcapil) stigmatization for people non-Samin. As a result, Samin community out from Samin. In order to continue to exist in Samin, two attempts were made by the Samin figure, (1) record mating and (2) have regular meetings about study teaching Samin. Local government Kudus positive respons attend the Samin marriage, make marriage certificate, and publish change ID-card colom, the first setrip (-) make indegeneous religion (penghayat).  Government Kudus have to explain married must be listed in Civil Registry Service Office in order to get married sertificate. If not, breaking married law and people administration.Abstrak: Artikel ini ditulis bertujuan mendedahkan adaptasi politik komunitas Samin di Kudus, Jawa Tengah atas peraturan negara bidang pencatatan perkawinan. Data didapatkan dengan observasi, kajian referensi, dan wawancara yang selanjutnya dianalisis dengan telaah kualitatif-deskriptif. Hasil riset, warga di Kudus ada yang masih mempertahankan Saminisme berupa tidak menyekolahkan anaknya di sekolah formal dan pernikahannya tak dicatatkan pada Dukcapil. Akibatnya menerima stigma dari warga non-Samin berdampak banyaknya warga Samin yang keluar dari Samin. Agar komunitas Samin eksis, upaya yang dilakukan tokoh Samin di Kudus (1) mencatatkan perkawinan warga Samin dengan diawali mendaftarkan komunitasnya berbadan hukum, dan (2) melakukan temu rutin warga Samin untuk mendalami ajaran Samin. Pemkab Kudus merespons positif upaya warga Samin dengan menghadiri perkawinan di rumah warga Samin ketika kawin perdana warga Samin dicatatkan, menerbitkan akta kawinnya, dan menerbitkan perubahan kolom agama warga Samin yang semula tertulis setrip (-) menjadi penghayat kepercayaan. Pemerintah Kabupaten Kudus harus melakukan upaya memberi pemahaman pada warga Samin bahwa tidak mencatatkan perkawinan adalah melanggar undang-undang Perkawinan dan Administrasi Kependudukan.

Abstract

This research was conducted to understand the home school model of Samin residents in Kudus, Central Java. Research data obtained through interviews, observations, and literature review. Data was analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. Samin’s home school was initially led by Ki Samin Surosentiko during the resistance against the Dutch colonial in Blora and has spread to Kudus until now. Samin residents do not go to formal schools, but form home schools with the aim of protecting their generation from being carried away by the current dynamics. The learning materials focus on the principles of life and to stay away from five taboos: bedok (accusing), colong (stealing), pethil; pinch; and nemu wae ora keno; taboo to find goods. Samin residents do not go to formal schools because they still maintain their ancestral teachings with speech traditions. The educators are parents and traditional leaders. The results of the evaluation are reflected in their behavior in life. The Samin people’s passions are to serve, care for, and protect Ki Samin’s teachings in terms of ordinances, manners, and dharma so that the roots of the noble tradition are maintained. The success of homeschooling is reflected when students behave according to the teachings of their parents and can be followed as examples. The state must be present to provide continuous enlightenment so that its curriculum leads to formal education or equality, while also maintaining that local wisdom is not uprooted from its cultural roots. The role of the state ideally is to explicate with a persuasive approach, so that the teaching material could integrate formal homeschooling. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memahami model sekolah rumahan warga Samin di Kudus Jawa Tengah. Data riset diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan kajian pustaka. Analisis data menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Sekolah rumahan Samin awalnya dimotori oleh Ki Samin Surosentiko di masa perlawanan kolonial Belanda di Blora dan menyebar sampai Kudus hingga kini. Warga Samin tidak bersekolah formal, tetapi membentuk sekolah rumahan dengan tujuan memproteksi generasinya agar tidak terbawa dinamika kekinian. Materi pembelajarannya berfokus pada prinsip hidup dan menjauhi lima pantangan: bedok (menuduh), colong (mencuri), pethil; jumput; dan nemu wae ora keno; pantangan menemukan barang. Warga Samin tidak bersekolah formal karena masih mempertahankan ajaran leluhur dengan tradisi tutur. Pendidiknya adalah orang tua dan tokoh adat. Hasil evaluasi tercermin pada perilaku hidupnya. Obsesi orang Samin yaitu nglayani, ngrawat, nglindungi ajaran Ki Samin dalam hal tata cara, tata krama, dan tata darma agar akar tradisi adiluhung terawat. Keberhasilan sekolah rumahan tercermin ketika peserta didik berperilaku sebagaimana ajaran orang tua dan dapat diteladani. Negara harus hadir memberi pencerahan secara berkesinambungan agar kurikulumnya mengarah pada pendidikan formal atau kesetaraan dan kearifan lokalnya tak tercerabut dari akar budayanya. Peran negara idealnya menjelaskan agar materi ajarnya menjadi homeschooling formal dengan pendekatan persuasif.

Abstract

This study aims to explain that ancient buildings inherited by Hindus in pre-Islamic Kudus have been preserved until now as a form of tolerance that needs to be studied. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of field. The data collection technique is done through interviews, observation, and literature deepening. The results showed that the Kudus City of Central Java has a specific site, namely the Langgar Bubrah building, in which there are phallus and yoni as temple characters. However, the perfect name of the building to be immortalized is Sanggar Bubrah, not Langgar Bubrah. Likewise, at the building point of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Menara Kudus, there was a pure with evidence of two kori (pure entrances) in the foyer and inside Al-Aqsa Mosque. Sunan Kudus forbids Muslims from slaughtering cows (as a tribute to Hindus) which is still preserved today.

Abstract

The goal of this research was to briefly describe the dynamics of tarekat organizations in Indonesia since the establishment of Ahl al-Tariqah al-Mu'tabarah al-Indonesi (JATMI, 1957) and Jam'iyyah al-Thariqah al-Mu'tabarah al-Nahdliyah (JATMAN), 1979) in Java, which was followed by that of the Indonesian Tarekat Ulama Council in Solok, West Sumatra (2016). The method of the current research is a literature review using content analysis techniques. The main findings are threefold, with the first suggesting how the criteria for tarekat maturity are needed in the organization of the tarekat. The second finding shows that the Sufism organization (tarekat) of the JATMI Nusantara in 1957 was prompted by the Tarekat Qadiriyah wa Naqsyabandiyah (TQN). Meanwhile, the internal conflict among Jatmi's leaders set into motion the establishment of a new institution which has a similar movement mission, i.e., JATMAN in 20 Early Rabbi of 1337 H / 10 October 1985 AD in Tegalrejo, Magelang, Central Java. The third finding shows that the dynamics of the organization have colored the Ulama institutions in Indonesia.

Abstract

The mosque is a center of worship and a learning medium for Muslims. As a place of worship, according to the syariah there is no specific classification that mosques can only be dominated by one gender only. However, male dominance over the mosque as a religious public sphere occurred in the Baitussalam Kauman Mosque, Jekulo, Kudus, Central Java, Indonesia from 1923 until now. Therefore, this article seeks to analyze the factors of discrimination against females in using the mosque as a place of worship and other religious activities. Using an ethnographic approach, this article argues that discrimination against females has occurred since 1923. This happened at the same time as the establishment of the Pesantren Al-Qaumaniyah Islamic (only for male santri) and was followed by other pesantren around the mosque. The gender inequality discrimination argument relies on an unwritten rule that ideally females only pray in congregation at home. Furthermore, it is as if females are positioned as “trouble makers” because they are seen as disturbing the male congregation who are focusing on memorizing the al-Qur’an at the Baitussalam Mosque. This stereotype and discriminatory regulation is still perpetuated today under the pretext of respecting the old rules of the founders.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools as institutions that cadre scientists (ulama) to understand Islamic science for the provision of society. However, socializing also requires expertise as a source of livelihood, so students are also equipped with skills with real daily practice (entrepreneurship). The problem in this study, namely how to divide activities between study time and work at the Tahfidz al-Islah Islamic Boarding School, and where is the point of vulnerability to violations of the Child Protection Act. The purpose of this study was to describe learning at the Tahfidz Al-Ishlah Islamic Boarding School in Kadilangu Village, Trangkil District, Pati Regency, Central Java. Data was obtained in 2020 with interviews, observations, and literature which were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of the study found that the pesantren for prospective al-Quran memorizers provided knowledge about fiqh, interpretation of the Koran, and entrepreneurship facilitated by Islamic boarding schools. Compensation obtained by students in addition to knowledge is free of charge for education, boarding, and meals. Entrepreneurship education is taught from an early age as an effort to cultivate the character of an entrepreneurial spirit and train students' independence. In its application there are no violations of the Child Protection Act.

Abstract

Tujuan ditulisnya naskah ini untuk memaparkan praktik mengkhitan pada anak perempuan di Pantai Utara Jawa Tengah (Pantura Jateng) bagian timur meliputi sebagian wilayah Kabupaten Demak, Kudus, Jepara, Pati, dan Rembang. Data diperoleh dengan wawancara dengan pelaku khitan (pengkhitan) yang analisisnya berpijak pada hadis tentang khitan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Mengkhitan berlandaskan hadis Nabi ”al-khitanu sunnatu li ar-rijal makrumatun li an-nisa” (Khitan itu sunah bagi lelaki dan kemulyaan bagi perempuan”). Berdasarkan takhrijul al-hadis, hadis nomor 19794 bersumber dari Ahmad bin Hambal dan Usamah, bersandar pada Suraij sebagai sanad pertama. Sanad hadis bersambung tapi tidak semua perawinya tsiqoh,  kredibilitasnya diperdebatkan dan sanadnya dloif. Tetapi pelaksanaan khitan pada anak perempuan membudaya dengan ragam model, bila tidak dikhitan dicemooh lingkungannya. Dampak secara luas, data Unicef tahun 2015 hasil survei tahun 2013 di 33 provinsi di Indonesia, di 497 kota dan 300.000 rumah tangga, lebih dari separuh jumlah anak perempuan usia di bawah enam bulan dikhitan dengan memotong klitoris. Kondisi ini menempatkan Indonesia pada urutan ketiga praktik sunat setelah Mesir dan Ethiopia. Hal ini diperkuat adanya pandangan masyarakat bahwa perempuan menduduki strata sosial kelas dua setelah laki-laki sehingga lelaki sangat dominan memutuskan ragam hal. Pemahaman terhadap hadis khitan tersebut perlu diluruskan agar dampak khitan di bidang kesehatan yang diderita anak perempuan tidak berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Artikel ini mendedahkan agama Adam bagi komunitas Samin di Kudus Jawa Tengah. Tujuan terpublikasikannya agama Adam agar tidak lagi distigma publik pada warga Samin sebagai ateis, pembangkang, kolot, dsb karena publik memahami ajaran agama Adam sehingga terwujud toleransi. Data diperoleh dengan observasi, wawancara, dan mengkaji referensi. Hasil riset, Adam bagi warga Samin sebagai makhluk Tuhan (Yai) terlahir pertama di dunia agar ada kehidupan di alam raya. Agama Adam ajarannya yakni doa, semedi, berpuasa, dan berperilaku baik. Bersemedi tempatnya di rumahnya (sanggar pamujan), yang terbaik untuk berdoa pada tengah malam (tengah latri). Ajarannya diwariskan secara regenerasi dengan bahasa tutur. Kepatuhan atau ketidakpatuhan diri warga Samin atas ajaran agama Adam tergantung kualitas diri. Pemerintah mengategorikan agama Adam sebagai penghayat kepercayaan.

Abstract This paper identivication the Kuna Hindu in Kudus pra-Islam the Minaret. Data were qualitative-description by interview, observation, and literature. Result, condition minaret reserve relic Hindu in Kudus Old City (1) renovation colonial era at years of 1880, 1913, 1933 and BPCB Central Java 0f 1980, 2911, 2013, 2014. The condition now don’t original although the shape is still intact. The minaret is damaged because get rained on, weather, vibration due to the car, (2) two gate (kori) in the masque al-Aqsha good condition and intact, (3) Makala/kalla in ablution place. To preserve holy government Kudus need to schedule the city heritage.   Abstrak Naskah ini ditulis untuk mengidentifikasi jejak Hindu Kuno pra-Islam di Kawasan Kota Lama  Kudus, Jawa Tengah. Metode riset ini deskriptif kualitatif dengan mendedahkan dan menganalisis data berupa bangunan kuno berupa Menara, kala/makara, dan gapura kembar (kori) di Masjid al-Aqsha. Riset ini data dari observasi dan kajian pustaka. Hasilnya, benda cagar budaya yang serupa peninggalan Hindu pra-Islam di Kudus (1) Menara direnovasi masa kolonial (1880, 1913, 1933) dan oleh Balai Pelestarian Cagar Budaya (BPCB) Jawa Tengah pada 1980, 2011, 2013, dan 2014. Kondisi Menara tidak lagi genuine bahannya karena direnov dan bentuknya utuh, 80 % hasil renovasi BPCB Jateng. Perenovasian akibat terpaan angin, hujan, panas, dan getaran kendaraan yang melaju di depan Menara, (2) dua gapura (kori) di serambi dan di dalam Masjid kondisinya baik dan utuh, dan (3) kala/makara posisinya ada di tempat wudlu pun utuh. Untuk merawat Kawasan Kota Lama agar lestari, Pemda Kudus perlu merawat dan pencanangan Kota Pusaka. Keywords: pre-Islam; culture heritage; and city heritage

Kondisi Menara tidak lagi genuine bahannya karena direnov dan bentuknya utuh, 80 % hasil renovasi BPCB Jateng. Perenovasian akibat terpaan angin, hujan, panas, dan getaran kendaraan yang melaju di depan Menara, (2) dua gapura (kori) di serambi dan di dalam Masjid kondisinya baik dan utuh, dan (3) kala/makara posisinya ada di tempat wudlu pun utuh. Untuk merawat Kawasan Kota Lama agar lestari, Pemda Kudus perlu merawat dan pencanangan Kota Pusaka. Keywords: pre-Islam; culture heritage; and city heritage
