Abstract

21st century learning is learning oriented to the formation of students who have the skills or skills needed in living the 21st century life, such as being able to communicate and collaborate well and have metacognitive skills. Improving the quality of education is important, one of which is improving the learning process in the classroom by applying learning models that can develop students' abilities. One of them is by applying the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model. The purpose of this study was to improve learning activities and metacognitive skills of Biology Education students in the Science Curriculum Development course at SMP Negeri Malang State University. This type of research is Classroom Action Research based on Lesson Study (PTK-LS). The research approach used is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that: 1) the percentage level of the implementation of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model was very good, namely 80%; 2) student learning activities in semester VII have increased by 2.01%; and 3) the metacognitive skills of seventh semester students have increased by an average of 2.26. The conclusion is that the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model can improve student learning activities and metacognitive skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the potential of natural and cultural resources, to know the perceptions, participation and aspirations of the community and to develop a community-based ecotourism development strategy in Selelos Village, Gangga District, North Lombok Regency. This type of research is a descriptive qualitative case study and exploratory descriptive to find the potential in the form of biodiversity in the Selelos forest area. Data collection was carried out by observing the biodiversity in it, testing water quality, and using a questionnaire to 50 community respondents and 7 respondents from the village government. The results showed that Selelos Village has a forest area ecosystem that holds several potentials to be developed into ecotourism, including: waterfalls, springs, customary forests, and plantations (agro-tourism). In addition, it has a diversity of flora and fauna, there are about 13 high-level plant families with many species in it, as well as about 5 families of fauna and there are also endemic animals such as partridge and deer (senggah). Of the four springs quality tested, all of them are suitable as raw material for drinking water. Meanwhile, based on the questionnaire analysis, the community and village government will work together in developing and managing ecotourism. Based on the SWOT analysis, the strategy used in developing ecotourism is to take advantage of the strengths of opportunity (S-O), among others; mapping the potential of ecotourism, developing special ecotourism such as agro-tourism, synergizing ecotourism with local culture and customs, equipping, providing facilities and infrastructure, and improving human resources.

Abstract

Lombok is one of the main islands in Indonesia that has a variety of ecosystem types that have the potential to be developed into ecotourism. The purpose of this study is to identify the biodiversity composing the ecosystem of Tibu Bunter Waterfall as one of the potentials of ecotourism. Explorative descriptive research type. The research location is located in Tibu Bunter Waterfall, Pesantek Hamlet in Pakuan Village, Narmada District - West Lombok. The results showed that there were 14 animal species and 21 plant species found around the Tibu Bunter Waterfall. Of the several animal species found, there is one unique species in the Least Concern category based on IUCN RED LIST (2011), namely needle dragonflies with a Calopterygidae pregnancy. In the plant species found there are several types of canopy plants, bamboo species, nail plants, bush plants, herbaceous plants, to mosses. It was concluded that the ecosystem of the Tibu Bunter Waterfall has high biodiversity potential and developed into an ecotourism area.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat potensi ekowisata di air terjun Tibu Bunter dan dijadikan dasar dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar ekowisata berbasis riset. Jenis penelitian ini ialah Research and Development (R&D). Tahap pertama dekskriptif eksploratif yakni melakukan survey terhadap ekosistem air terjun di Desa Pakuan, Narmada dengan mengidentifikasi karakteristik air terjun berdasarkan keanekaragaman, kelimpahan, keunikan ekosistem, dan keindahan Air Terjun. Tahap kedua yakni pengembangan bahan ajar berupa modul menggunakan model Borg and Gall (1983) yang terdiri dari studi literatur, studi lapangan, perencanaan, pengembangan produk awal, uji coba terbatas dan revisi produk, uji coba utama dan revisi produk, dan penyebar luasan (disseminate). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan survey dan analisis SWOT kawasan ekosistem air terjun Tibu Bunter memiliki potensi ekowisata yang layak untuk dikembangkan, karena memiliki akses yang mudah, pemandangan alam yang alami, dan dapat berdampak pada pelestarian lingkungan, namun memiliki ancaman terjadi banjir dan kerusakan ekosistem. Dari hasil analisis Laboratorium, nilai kekeruhan 1,52 artinya masih jernih, BOD dan COD normal pada nilai 4 dan 3.01, tetapi bakteri E-coli melebihi standar yakni 70 MPN/100ml artinya kurang layak dijadikan bahan baku minum. Berdasarkan hasil riset kemudian dikembangkan bahan ajar berupa modul yang terdiri dari empat kegiatan pembelajaran; tinjaun tentang ekowisata, ekowisata berbasis masyarakat, ekosistem kawasan Air Terjun Tibu Bunter sebagai ekowisata, dan mengamati potensi ekowisata. Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli materi dan media didapatkan rerata skor 2,35 dan 3,04 dengan kriteria layak, tapi perlu untuk direvisi, begitu juga hasil uji coba tahap awal didapatkan rerata skor 2,89 dengan kriteria layak. Sedangkan, unttuk mengetahui keefektifan dilakukan uji coba tahap kedua dengan subjek lebih banyak didapatkan rerata nilai mahasiswa 76,39 dengan kategori efektif. Secara keseluruhan modul dapat dikatakan layak untuk dijadikan bahan ajar matakuliah ekowisata, tentunya diperkuat dengan refrensi yang lainnya

Abstract

Pendidikan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Bhakti Kencana Mataram diselenggarakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan belajar masyarakat khususnya di bidang kesehatan dengan program studi farmasi. Lulusan-lulusan dari SMK sangat perlu dibekali dengan keterampilan yang mendukung ilmu yang diperolehnya selama pembelajaran. Dilihat dari peminatan untuk mendapatkan keterampilan, para siswa SMK Bhakti Kencana Mataram cukup antusias, sehingga besar harapan keterampilan mereka dapat ditingkatkan melalui kegiatan  Pengabdian kepada  Masyarakat (PKM) oleh  tim dosen-dosen Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP UNW Mataram  tentang pelatihan pembuatan krim jerawat siang dan malam hari. Pembuatan produk krim jerawat  dapat dilakukan dengan sangat mudah, menggunakan alat yang sederhana dan dengan biaya yang  murah sehingga sangat potensial untuk dikembangkan menjadi produk unggulan sehingga dapat dipasarkan. Pelatihan cara pembuatan sediaan krim jerawat bagi para siswa SMK mampu meningkatan kreatifitas, keterampilan membuat sendiri kosmetika perawatan kulit serta meningkatkan jiwa wirausaha para siswa. Hal ini dapat juga membantu keluarga para siswa untuk meningkatkan tingkat ekonomi mereka.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in learning outcomes between students who are taught by using cooperative learning NHT technique with Jigsaw technique in class VII SMPN 1 Gangga in the academic year 2011/2012. The research is a quasi-experimental design so that the populations in this study were all students of class VII and the sample of this research is class VII E and VII F taken using purposive sampling technique in which the class VII E amounted to 31 people as the control class with NHT technique and class VII F amounted to 32 people as a class experiment treated Jigsaw technique. The research instrument used a test result in the form of pretest and posttest learning and learning enforceability observation sheet. Based on the analysis of data obtained by the average value of 75.15 experimental class with the highest score of 100 and the lowest value of 50 and a student who reached KKM ≥ 65 as many as 25 students and 7 students who fail, while the control class average value of 71, 45 with a highest score of 100 and the lowest value of 45 and a student who reached KKM ≥ 65 were 22 students and 9 students who fail. Based on the analysis of hypothesis test acquired t test at 2,69 whereas t table at 2,00. Because of t test > t table, it can be concluded that there are differences in learning outcomes between students who are taught by using cooperative learning NHT technique with Jigsaw technique. In which the learning outcomes of students with Jigsaw technique is greater than the NHT technique.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Problem-Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa pada pokok bahasan virus kelas X MA NW Ketangga. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasy experiment dengan desain non equivalent pretest postest control group. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X dan yang menjadi sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas XA (kelas kontrol) dan XB (kelas eksperimen) yang diambil menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. lnstrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar, soal berpikir kritis dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata hasil belajar kelas ekperimen 73,32 dengan nilai tertinggi 95 dan nilai terendah 43 dan siswa yang berhasil mencapai KKM ≥ 60 sebanyak 26 orang siswa dan siswa yang gagal sebanyak 5 orang siswa. Pada kelas kontrol, nilai rata-rata sebesar 69,77 dengan nilai tertinggi 95 dan nilai terendah 43 dan siswa yang berhasil mencapai KKM ≥ 60 sebanyak 24 orang siswa dan yang gagal 6 orang siswa. Adapun nilai rata-rata berpikir kritis kelas ekperimen 70,67 dengan nilai tertinggi 91 dan nilai terendah 47 dan siswa yang berhasil mencapai KKM ≥ 60 sebanyak 26 orang siswa dan yang gagal 5 orang siswa. Nilai rata-rata berpikir kritis pada kelas kontrol nilai rata-rata 72,19 dengan nilai tertinggi 95 dan nilai terendah 43 dan siswa yang berhasil mencapai KKM ≥ 60 sebanyak 23 orang siswa dan yang gagal 7 orang siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji hipotesis dengan uji regresi diperoleh signifikansi hasil belajar 0.000 lebih kecil dari signifikansi 0.05 (0,000<0.05) begitu pula signifikansi berpikir kritis 0,00 lebih kecil dari signifikansi 0,05 (0,00<0,05). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah Problem-Based learning berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat keanekaragaman spesies pada ekosistem padang lamun yang berada di Pantai Sire, Kabupaten Lombok Utara pada tahun 2017. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif eksploratif yang dilakukan dengan observasi langsung terhadap taksa dan jumlah individu yang ditemukan pada padang lamun di Pantai Sire, Tanjung - KLU. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif untuk menghitung distribusi spesies pada setiap titik sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 2 jenis lamun yang ditemukan pada plot sampling yakni Enhalus accoroides dan Thalassia hemprichii. Bentos makroinvertebrata yang dijumpai pada titik sampling yakni Moluska (Anadara sp., Donax sp, dan Thaisella sp.), dan Echinodermata (timun laut (Holothuria sp.) dan landak laut (Echinoidea)). Indeks keanekaragaman spesies (H’) bentos makroinvertebrata pada semua transek yakni 1,356. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa indeks keanekaragaman spesies bentos makroinvertebrata pada padang lamun tergolong sedang (1<H’<3).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Problem Solving on critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes on the subject of biodiversity class X SMA Suralaga. This research is a quase experiment with a non equivalent pretest posttest control group design. The population in this study were all students of class X and the sample of this study was class XC and XD using simple random sampling techniques. Class XC totaling 22 students as a control class with direct instruction techniques and class XD totaling 22 students as an experimental class who were treated with Problem Solving. The research instrument used was a test of learning outcomes in the form of pre-test and post-test, critical thinking questions and observation sheet of the implementation of learning. The results showed that the average value of experimental class learning outcomes 72.99, while the average value of the control class was 60.73. The average value of critical thinking experimental class 78.05, while the average value of the control class 59.86. Based on the results of hypothesis testing with regression tests obtained significance of learning outcomes 0,000 less than the significance of 0.05 (0,000 <0.05) as well as the significance value of critical thinking 0.00 smaller than the significance value of 0.05 (0.00 <0, 05). The conclusion from the results of this study that there is an influence of problem solving on critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes..

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of project base learning (PjBL) to the critical thinking skills of class X students of SMAN 2 Sape. This research is a quase experiment with a non equivalent pretest posttest control group design. The population in this study were all students of class X and the samples of this study were class XA and XB using simple random sampling techniques. Class XA as a control class with group discussion techniques and class XB as an experimental class treated with Project-Based Learning. The research instrument used was a matter of critical thinking with pretest and posttest. The results showed that from the results of the analysis of the hypothesis test with a regression test obtained a significance value of critical thinking 0,000 less than 0.05 (0.00 <0.05), meaning that there was a significant effect of PjBL on students' critical thinking abilities. The conclusion from this study is that there is an effect of Project-Based learning on students' critical thinking skills.
