Abstract

The unemployment rate in Indonesia remains relatively high, particularly among vocational high school (SMK) graduates, who have the highest open unemployment rate. This condition indicates an imbalance between the skills possessed by graduates and the needs of the workforce. One strategy that can be taken to address this problem is to encourage the emergence of new entrepreneurs. Interest in entrepreneurship is a key factor that can motivate individuals, especially students, to create jobs for themselves and others. To foster this interest, motivating factors such as adequate entrepreneurial practices and realistic income expectations are needed. This study aims to analyze the contribution of entrepreneurial practices and income expectations to increasing student entrepreneurial interest. A quantitative approach was used in this study, with primary data collection through an online survey assisted by Google Forms. The research instrument was designed using a Likert scale to measure respondents' perceptions. Sampling was determined using a proportional random sampling technique based on the Taro Yamane formula, resulting in 188 students as study respondents. Data analysis was performed using Smart PLS software to test direct and indirect relationships between variables. The results showed that entrepreneurial practices have a direct, positive, and significant influence on entrepreneurial interest. Furthermore, entrepreneurial practice also has a direct, positive, and significant effect on income expectations. Furthermore, it was found that entrepreneurial practice has an indirect, positive, and significant impact on entrepreneurial intentions through the mediation of income expectations. These findings indicate that students who gain direct experience in entrepreneurial practice will have a clearer picture of the potential income that can be obtained, thus increasing their motivation to become entrepreneurs.

Abstract

Masjid Ar Rahmah Surabaya adopts a hybrid organizational model that integrates Islamic values with modern management systems across four main sectors: da'wah, education, social services, and economy. This mosque functions not only as a place of worship but also as a center for community empowerment, implementing various programs based on Islamic principles. This study aims to analyze organizational culture development strategies that maintain synergy among units without causing fragmentation or internal conflicts. Using a qualitative approach, this research applies Edgar Schein’s theory to identify organizational culture at three levels: artifacts, espoused values, and underlying assumptions. The findings indicate that the implementation of the KHIDMAH culture (Collaborative, Humanistic, Integrity, Dedication, Moderate, Adaptive, Harmonious) plays a crucial role in fostering a productive, sustainable, and cohesive work environment. Strategies such as strengthening a shared vision, enhancing human resource synergy, implementing complementary practices among units, and promoting continuous organizational learning ensure that each unit contributes effectively toward the mosque’s grand mission: producing mosque imams at the Asia-Pacific level. With this model, Masjid Ar Rahmah has successfully become financially independent while serving as a center for da'wah and community empowerment, achieving a strong competitive position both nationally and internationally.

Abstract

Vocabulary acquisition plays a central role in English language learning, yet many learners struggle to expand their vocabulary through conventional classroom instruction. Recent developments in digital technology have introduced alternative platforms for language acquisition, including Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPGs), which offer rich linguistic input and interactive environments. This study investigates how Indonesian EFL learners acquire English vocabulary through their engagement with Ragnarok M: Eternal Love, a popular MMORPG. Employing a descriptive qualitative research design, data were collected from 50 active players via an online questionnaire consisting of both closed- and open-ended items. The findings reveal that vocabulary is acquired incidentally through repeated exposure to in-game texts such as quest instructions, NPC dialogues, item descriptions, and player communication. Players employed various strategies for vocabulary learning, including contextual guessing, translation tools, and peer support. Social interaction, motivation, and gameplay immersion were identified as significant factors influencing vocabulary retention. These results support theoretical perspectives such as Krashen’s Input Hypothesis, Vygotsky’s Sociocultural Theory, and Gee’s Situated Learning. The study highlights the potential of MMORPGs as informal learning environments and provides pedagogical implications for integrating game-based learning into English language instruction. Abstract

This study investigated the use of End-to-End Automatic Speech Recognition (E2E ASR) for Qur'an recitation under low resource conditions using the Whisper model. This study follows the CRISP-DM methodology, starting with defining the research gap and preparing a curated dataset of 200 verses from Juz 30. These verses were chosen because of their short and consistent structure, allowing for efficient experimentation. Audio and transcription pairs are verified and cleaned to ensure alignment and quality. The modeling was done using Whisper in Google Colaboratory, leveraging its pre-trained architecture to reduce training time and computing costs. Evaluations use the Character Error Rate (CER) metric to measure transcription accuracy. The results showed that Whisper achieved an average CER of 0.142, corresponding to a transcription accuracy of about 85%. However, the average processing time per father is 11 seconds, almost double the time it takes for a human readout. Although Whisper provides strong accuracy for Arabic transcription, its runtime efficiency remains a challenge in real-time applications. This research contributes reproducible channels, validated datasets, and performance benchmarks for future studies of the Qur'anic ASR under computational constraints.
