Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the fraction problem solving abilities of students with high mathematical abilities at SDN Banjardowo 1 Jombang. This research is a qualitative research. The subjects of this research were class V students at SDN Banjardowo Jombang with one subject with high mathematical abilities. Data collection methods are tests and interviews. The research instruments are the researcher himself as the main instrument and test instruments and interviews as supporting instruments. Checking the validity of the data uses time triangulation. The results of this research are that students at SDN Banjardowo 1 Jombang solve fraction problems according to Polya's steps, namely restating the problem in language they understand while looking at the problem, can state what is known about the problem, can state what is asked about the problem, explain the solution strategy problems that he has written down, can write down the stages of problem solving strategies, re-examine the stages of problem solving, re-examine the results of problem solving, and can draw conclusions from the results of problem solving.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pengembangan keberlangsungan profesionalitas guru rumpun PAI bersertifikasi dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran di MTsN 5 Jombang. MTsN 5 Jombang dipilih sebagai lokasi penelitian ini karena peneliti sebagai pengajar di sekolah tersebut. Harapannya adalah hasil penelitian ini dapat bermanfaat untuk peningkatan mutu di sekolah tersebut. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Metode observasi ini dimaksudkan untuk mengamati proses pelaksanaan kegiatan belajar mengajar guru bersertifikasi. Metode wawancara ini peneliti gunakan untuk meneliti data yang lebih dalam kepada narasumber yaitu Bapak Kepala sekolah dan guru mata pelajaran PAI yang bersertifikasi di MTsN 5 Jombang sebagai sumber data untuk mendapatkan data tentang pengembangan keberlangsungan profesionalitas guru rumpun PAI bersertifikasi untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran MTsN di kabupaten Jombang. Jenis wawancara dalam penelitian ini bersifat semi terstruktur atau terbuka atau tidak baku. Dokumentasi adalah cara mencari data atau informasi dari buku-buku, catatan-catatan, transkip, surat kabar, majalah, prasasti, notulen rapat, legger, agenda, dan yang lainnya. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis data kualitatif, mengikuti konsep yang diberikan Miles and Humberman yang meliputi Reduksi Data (Data Reduction), Penyajian Data (Data Display), dan Conclusion Drawing/ Verification. Pengecekan keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik triangulasi metode dan triangulasi sumber data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan jika pengembangan keberlangsungan profesionalitas guru PAI bersertifikasi dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran adalah dengan menerapkan hasil pelatihan- pelatihan diklat, workshop serta musyawarah guru mata pelajaran yang telah diperoleh untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran, misalnya strategi mengajar sudah semakin bervariasi, dan paham tentang strategi mengatur suasana kelas agar pembelajaran berjalan kondusif. Disamping itu ketersedianya fasilitas- fasilitas yang mulai lengkap di madrasah juga sangat mendukung dalam peningkatan mutu pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman konseptual siswa materi himpunan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII-B MTsN 1 Jombang tahun pelajaran 2023-2024. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes pemahaman konseptual dan pedoman wawancara yang divalidasi oleh validator ahli. Teknik analisis data adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Data hasil tes dan wawancara dianalisis dengan mengacu pada indicator pemahaman konseptual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subjek menyatakan ulang suatu konsep yang berkaitan dengan himpunan menggunakan bahasanya sendiri. Subjek mengubah suatu konsep matematis himpunan ke dalam bentuk lain dengan tidak mengubah makna dari konsep yang ada, hampir sempurna namun siswa tidak memberikan keterangan nama himpunan. Subjek kurang sempurna dalam menjelaskan perbedaan dan persamaan antar konsep matematik pada himpunan beserta alasannya, siswa hanya menuliskan himpunannya saja tanpa memberikan keterangan alasan dari contoh himpunan dan bukan himpunan yang dituliskan. Subjek kurang sempurna dalam mengelompokkan objek-objek berdasarkan syarat perlu atau syarat cukup suatu konsep himpunan. Subjek hanya menuliskan opsi dari jawabannya saja tanpa menuliskan nama beserta anggota himpunannya dan siswa belum memahami konsep dari himpunan yang mempunyai anggota nol. Subjek menerapkan konsep himpunan dalam pemecahan masalah, namun belum optimal.

Abstract

Students are not used to solving arithmetic series problems in the form of story problems. They are not used to problem-solving indicators because they often work on convergent problems, resulting in difficulties when given problems on new concepts. This study aims to develop a personal context-based digital module based on teacher promotion action on the arithmetic sequence and series material to improve student learning outcomes. This type of research is development. This study uses the ADDIE development model. Respondents are mathematics teachers and grade X high school students. Data collection methods use observation, interviews, and tests. The research instruments include personal context-based digital module validation sheets, teacher and student activity observation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, pre-test and post-tests, and interview guidelines. Data analysis techniques use descriptive analysis and inferential statistics. The study results show that the personal context-based digital module meets the valid, practical and effective aspects. Validity is obtained from the results of the digital module's validation of the valid criteria. Practicality is obtained from the analysis of the teacher response questionnaire in the very good category, the student response questionnaire in the very good category and the student observation sheet in the good category. The effectiveness test results showed an influence between before and after being given a personal context-based digital module on student learning outcomes. It is concluded that personal context-based digital modules can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Stunting adalah masalah kesehatan yang berdampak besar bagi kemajuan suatu negara, sebab terkait generasi muda dari negara tersebut. Pada tahun 2021, di Jombang terdapat 11 desa yang masuk dalam lokus stunting salah satunya desa Jombatan. Salah satu upaya agar perkembangan stunting tidak bertambah banyak adalah mengoptimalkan kemandirian keluarga. Sehingga, pelatihan penguatan kemandirian keluarga  itu dibutuhkan di daerah yang terkena stunting. Pelatihan penguatan kemandirian keluarga  dilaksanakan di desa Jombatan. Tahap pelaksanaan pengabdian adalah meminta izin pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ke Kepala Desa dan menyiapkan perlengkapan pengabdian, pelaksanaan pelatihan dan evaluasi. Hasil dari pelatihan penguatan kemandirian tersebut didapatkan peningkatan pengetahuan perserta terkait kemandirian keluarga terdapat peningkatan 67 % dan peningkatan pengetahuan tentang pencegahan stunting terdapat peningkatan 34% setelah mendapatkan pelatihan.

Abstract

This service partner is a teacher at MTsN 15 Jombang. Teachers are required to develop teacher professionalism. One way is to carry out Classroom Action Research (CAR) which aims to improve the quality of learning in the classroom and can be used to fulfill the requirements for submitting promotions in continuous professional development. However, the problems faced by partners are: partners do not really understand about CAR, how to prepare CAR proposals, and implement them. Therefore, the service team carried out training on preparing CAR proposals for teachers at MTsN 15 Jombang. The implementation method through several stages. The preparation stage includes; initial observation, carrying out licensing, coordinating with partners, and compiling training materials. The implementation phase, explaining in theory about CAR each participant experienced an increase in score from pretest to posttest, (2) at least 80% of participants received a minimum score of 80. The result of the activity was that 11 teachers of MTsN 15 Jombang participated in the training. This training begins with a pretest, then provides training, and ends with a posttest. The training was held on May 8, 2023. During the training, the volunteer explained about CAR in theory, namely related to the definitions, characteristics, objectives, CAR procedures, and the systematics of preparing CAR proposals. The training was held from 8 to 20 May 2023 namely; giving pretests, providing training materials, giving posttests, and practicing making proposals. The presentation of the material was carried out on May 8 2023, while the assistance in preparing PTK proposals was carried out from May 9 to 20 2023. The pretest and posttest results showed that the average PTK training participant's pretest score was 34.1, while the average pretest score of CAR training participants was 94.5. Based on data from the pretest and posttest results, each participant experienced an increase in score from pretest to posttest and 100% of participants received a minimum score of 80, (3) at least 50% of the participants are in the process of compiling a proposal.

Abstract

Students' mathematics learning achievement is influenced by several factors, one of which is anxiety. The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not there is an effect of mathematics anxiety on students' mathematics learning achievement. This study is a correlational study. The population in this study were all students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Jogoroto in the 2021/2022 academic year consisting of 160 students. The sampling technique in this study used a random sampling technique, namely a random sampling technique. The number of samples in the study was 40 students. Data collection used two methods, namely the questionnaire method and the documentation method. The research instrument used a questionnaire sheet and a documentation sheet. The validity of the instrument used expert validity. Data analysis used simple linear regression analysis. The results of the data analysis obtained a Sig value of 0.000 <0.05 so that H_0 was rejected, meaning that there is an effect of mathematics anxiety on students' mathematics learning achievement at SMP Negeri 2 Jogoroto with a regression equation Y = 94.614-0.739, which means that for every 1 increase in the score obtained in mathematics anxiety, learning achievement will decrease by 0.739. The magnitude of the correlation is -0.822 with a Sig value of 0.000 <0.05 so that H_0 is rejected, meaning that there is a significant relationship between mathematics anxiety and students' mathematics learning achievement at SMP Negeri 2 Jogoroto. With a Determination Coefficient value of 0.676, it shows that there is an influence of mathematics anxiety of 67.6% and 32.4% is influenced by other factors that are not studied.

Abstract

Abstract Mathematical reasoning is a mental activity that connects relevant facts to draw conclusions based on valid arguments. This research aims to describe the mathematical reasoning of high school students with high, medium, and low mathematical abilities in solving problems. This research also offers a comprehensive understanding of how varying levels of mathematical ability influence students' reasoning processes in problem-solving. This research used qualitative methods with the subjects being three students in class X-8 of SMA Negeri 1 Trawas, each representing high, medium, and low levels of mathematical ability. Research instruments include mathematical ability tests, mathematical reasoning tests, and interview guidelines, with triangulation of time to ensure the validity of data. Data analysis was carried out through reduction, presentation, and concluding data. The research results show that students with high mathematical abilities can explain information in verbal and symbolic form, develop problem-solving strategies, carry out mathematical manipulations, provide reasons for solutions, check the correctness of each stage, and provide conclusions on the solution process. Students with moderate abilities show similar abilities but do not provide conclusions about the solution process. Meanwhile, students with low abilities also showed similar solution steps but did not provide conclusions about the solution process. These findings provide insight into differences in students' mathematical reasoning abilities based on their mathematical ability. Abstrak Penalaran matematis adalah aktivitas mental yang menghubungkan fakta-fakta relevan untuk menarik kesimpulan berdasarkan argumen yang valid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penalaran matematis siswa SMA dengan kemampuan matematika tinggi, sedang, dan rendah dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Penelitian ini juga memberikan pemahaman yang komprehensif mengenai bagaimana tingkat kemampuan matematika memengaruhi proses penalaran siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan subjek tiga siswa kelas X-8 SMA Negeri 1 Trawas, masing-masing mewakili tingkat kemampuan matematika tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes kemampuan matematika, tes penalaran matematis, dan pedoman wawancara, dengan triangulasi waktu untuk menjamin keabsahan data. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi, pemaparan, dan penarikan kesimpulan dari data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa berkemampuan matematika tinggi mampu menjelaskan informasi dalam bentuk verbal dan simbol, menyusun strategi penyelesaian masalah, melakukan manipulasi matematika, memberikan alasan terhadap solusi yang diberikan, memeriksa kebenaran setiap tahapan, dan memberikan kesimpulan atas proses penyelesaian. Siswa berkemampuan sedang menunjukkan kemampuan serupa, tetapi tidak memberikan kesimpulan atas proses penyelesaian. Sementara itu, siswa berkemampuan rendah juga menunjukkan langkah-langkah penyelesaian serupa, namun tidak memberikan kesimpulan atas proses penyelesaian. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan mengenai perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa berdasarkan kemampuan matematika. Kata Kunci:Menyelesaikan Masalah; Kemampuan Matematika; Penalaran Matematis.

Abstract

The important position of problem solving in mathematics learning requires teachers to provide opportunities for learners to solve problems. The process of solving problems based on John Dewey's steps is certainly not all students can solve them appropriately. This is due to the differences in behavior / personality of each individual in solving problems. This study aims to describe the process of solving students' mathematical problems based on personality type. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive method. The subjects of the study were taken from class X TKJ 1 SMKN Gudo. Data collection was carried out by the method of problem-solving tests and interviews. Checking the validity of the data is carried out by triangulation of time. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi dan penyajian data serta penarikan kesimpulan. The results of this study reveal the process of solving mathematical problems with John Dewey's steps, including: recognizing problems, defining problems, formulating hypotheses, collecting and grouping data as material for proving hypotheses, and choosing the best hypotheses with personality types according to David Keirsey, namely guardian, artisan, rational, and idealist. At the stage of recognizing the problem the type of personality that retells a given problem is rational even though the subject re-reads the given problem. The stage of defining the problem of personality types that meet the indicators is guardian, rational and idealist that is to write down what is known and what is asked. The stage of formulating a hypothesis there is no personality type that meets the indicators, all subjects do not make plans but make problem-solving measures. The stage of collecting and grouping data as a material for proving the hypothesis of all personality types does the same thing that is to solve the problem according to the plan made. At the stage of choosing the best hypothesis with the indicator of retelling the step of its answer that meets the indicator is an idealist personality type, in addition to retelling the answer this subject also writes down other ways and proofs to know if the answer is true or false.
