Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas implementasi strategi REACT yang berorientasi etnomatematik terhadap kemampuan literasi visual matematis siswa SMP. Jenis penelitian ini kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas 7 di SMPN 2 Peterongan Jombang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan rata-rata antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol yaitu rata-rata hasil posttest siswa kelas eksperimen sebesar 83,62 dan rata-rata hasil posttest siswa kelas kontrol sebesar 71,43. Selanjutnya, hasil pengujian uji N-Gain menunjukkan bahwa kelas yang menggunakan strategi REACT berorientasi etnomatematik memperoleh hasil N-Gain sebesar 83,15% dengan kategori efektif. Sedangkan kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung memperoleh hasil N-Gain sebesar 55,16% dengan kategori kurang efektif. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi strategi REACT berorientasi etnomatematik terhadap kemampuan literasi visual matermatis siswa SMP dapat dikatakan berhasil dan efektif. Diharapkan guru dapat menerapkan strategi REACT pada beberapa materi matematika dengan mengintegrasikan konteks yang lebih konkret supaya siswa dapat memperoleh pengalaman pembelajaran yang lebih bermakna.

Abstract

Divergent thinking is characterized by thinking in all directions, always trying various solutions to solve problems, so several ideas or solutions emerge. Divergent thinking in this study is based on four aspects; fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with two subjects of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Ploso Jombang in the academic year 2024/2025, male student are (BAE) and female student are (AN). Data collection technique for this research carried out by giving the DTT written test and interviews. Data were collected through the Divergent Thinking Test (DTT) and semi-structured interviews had been validated by experts. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The selection of subjects in this study considering by gender. For data collection technique in this study using a DTT written test and interview. Data analysis method carried out with three stages of analysis. The results showed that the female subject (AN) excelled in all indicators of divergent thinking AN produced three different problem-solving strategies, such as calculating the area of the outer square minus the shaded area, dividing the square into two rectangles, and dividing the square into smaller elements. AN provided a detailed explanation in developing the solution. Subject BAE produced two strategies, which tended to be simpler and conventional, without much variation. In the aspect of problem solving based on Polya's steps (understanding the problem, planning the solution, executing the solution, and re-examining), both subjects could follow the steps. However, AN showed more depth in planning and re-examining, by exploring various alternative strategies and BAE was simpler in solving the problem and thought more efficiently.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrument tes berpikir logis matematis materi sistem persamaan linier tiga variabel yang valid, praktis, dan efektif pada siswa SMA. Jenis penelitian ini Reseach and Development dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Instrumentpenelitian ini adalahlembar validasi dan angket keterbacaan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif berdasarkan kriteria kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jika tes kemmapuan berpikir logis matematis (TKBLM) materi sistem persamaan linier tiga variabel memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Hasil validasi TKBLM yaitu 95% dengan kategori sangat valid. Uji kepraktisan menunjukkan jika berdasarkanangket keterbacaan, sebanyak 100% siswa, hasil angketnya menunjukkan presentase lebih dari atau sama dengan 75%, berada pada kategori praktis. Hasil uji keefektifan, menunjukkan jika setiap indikator dari berpikir logis matematis dapat dilihat melalui TKBLM. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan jika instrumen tes berpikir logis matematis materi sistem persamaan linier tiga variabel valid, praktis, dan efektif digunakan pada siswa SMA

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the presence or absence of the influence of the infusion learning model collaboration with Problem-Based Learning (PBL)  to develop students' understanding of proof and mathematical argumentation in number theory courses. This research is an experimental study with a randomized control group pretest-posttest design, two groups namely the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group is the group that uses the infusion learning model in collaboration with PBL, while the control group is the group that uses conventional learning. The subjects of this study consisted of 40 students at a university in Jombang, Indonesia. Data collection techniques through observation sheets, proof understanding tests and observation sheets of students' mathematical argumentation abilities. The results of the research show that the significant difference between the average proof of understanding of students in the experimental group and the control group. The difference between the average proof of understanding in the experimental group and the average proof of understanding of students in the control group was 21.75. Furthermore, the significant difference between the average argumentation ability of students in the experimental group and the control group. The difference between the average argumentation ability of students in the experimental group and the average argumentation ability of students in the control group is 5.25. Therefore, the implementasion of infusion learning in collaboration with PBL is more effective than conventional learning models for developing students' ability to understand mathematical proof and argumentation. This learning model promotes the development of critical thinking skills, problem-solving, conceptual and different understanding needed to construct a formal proof, and strong and valid arguments.

Abstract

Kesulitan siswa dalam memahami materi dimensi tiga perlu diatasi. Misalnya dengan menggunakan bantuan media pembelajaran yang tepat seperti Software GeoGebra. Penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran dan hasil belajar matematika menggunakan software GeoGebra. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini terdiri dari 19 subjek kelas XII IPS salah satu MA swasta di Jombang. Instrumen penelitian yaitu lembar observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa proses pembelajaran dengan media software GeoGebra diawali dengan menyampaikan tujuan pembelajaran dan mengingatkan materi sebelumnya, menjelaskan unsur-unsur bangun ruang, memperkenalkan software GeoGebra, menjelaskan fungsi masing-masing menu, menjelaskan materi dimensi tiga menggunakan software GeoGebra, dan memberikan penguatan serta menyimpulkan inti materi yang telah dipelajari. Hasil penelitian lainnya menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah pemanfaatan GeoGebra. Software GeoGebra cocok digunakan untuk membantu siswa memahami materi dimensi tiga dengan baik. Students' difficulties in understanding three-dimensional material need to be overcome. For example, by using the help of appropriate learning media such as GeoGebra Software. The purpose of this research was to describe the learning process and learning outcomes of mathematics using GeoGebra software. This qualitative descriptive study consisted of 19 subjects of class XII IPS, one of the private MA in Jombang. The research instruments are observation sheets, tests, and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the learning process using the GeoGebra software media begins with conveying the learning objectives and reminding the previous material, explaining the elements of spatial structure, introducing the GeoGebra software, explaining the function of each menu, explaining the Three-Dimensional material using the GeoGebra software, and closing with providing reinforcement and conclude the core material that has been studied. The results of other studies indicate that there are significant differences in student learning outcomes between before and after the use of GeoGebra. GeoGebra software is suitable to help students understand three-dimensional material well.

Abstract

This research was motivated by problems in the field regarding the difficulties of junior high school students in understanding geometric transformation material. This research was carried out at Bhara Widya Catholic Middle School Lumajang in accordance with the results of observations which showed that learning media had never been used to instill the concept of geometric transformation. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of using Transgo media on understanding the concept of geometric transformation in class IX students at the school. This research is an experimental type of research with a quantitative design, posttest only control design. The instrument used was a comprehension test and the data was analyzed using inferential statistics. The results of the research show that there is a positive effect of using Transgo media on understanding the concept of geometric transformation in class IX students at Bhara Widya Catholic Middle School, which is known through the Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05 with an influence of 28.87% (more than 20%). Transgo media can be implemented in learning in other locations to increase students' understanding of geometric transformation material.

Abstract

This service partner is a teacher at MTsN 15 Jombang. Teachers are required to develop teacher professionalism. One way is to carry out Classroom Action Research (CAR) which aims to improve the quality of learning in the classroom and can be used to fulfill the requirements for submitting promotions in continuous professional development. However, the problems faced by partners are: partners do not really understand about CAR, how to prepare CAR proposals, and implement them. Therefore, the service team carried out training on preparing CAR proposals for teachers at MTsN 15 Jombang. The implementation method through several stages. The preparation stage includes; initial observation, carrying out licensing, coordinating with partners, and compiling training materials. The implementation phase, explaining in theory about CAR each participant experienced an increase in score from pretest to posttest, (2) at least 80% of participants received a minimum score of 80. The result of the activity was that 11 teachers of MTsN 15 Jombang participated in the training. This training begins with a pretest, then provides training, and ends with a posttest. The training was held on May 8, 2023. During the training, the volunteer explained about CAR in theory, namely related to the definitions, characteristics, objectives, CAR procedures, and the systematics of preparing CAR proposals. The training was held from 8 to 20 May 2023 namely; giving pretests, providing training materials, giving posttests, and practicing making proposals. The presentation of the material was carried out on May 8 2023, while the assistance in preparing PTK proposals was carried out from May 9 to 20 2023. The pretest and posttest results showed that the average PTK training participant's pretest score was 34.1, while the average pretest score of CAR training participants was 94.5. Based on data from the pretest and posttest results, each participant experienced an increase in score from pretest to posttest and 100% of participants received a minimum score of 80, (3) at least 50% of the participants are in the process of compiling a proposal.

Abstract

This community service is motivated by the problems experienced by the partners. The partner of this community service is SMP Negeri 1 Jombang. The problems in question are: (1) Students have difficulty understanding statics material, especially in finding the mean, mode, median and quartile of single data. (2) Statistics board learning media (PATIA) has never been applied to statistics material, especially to find the mean, mode, median and quartile of single data. Therefore, the solution that will be implemented by the community service team as a form of community service is to apply PATIA learning media as an effort to strengthen conceptual understanding of statistics material, especially to find the mean, mode, median and quartile of single data for class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Jombang. Learning media is a learning media used to convey information related to statistics material, especially to find the mean, mode, median and quartile of single data. PATIA learning media is expected to help make it easier for students to abstract and understand statistics material. The implementation method involves three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results of this community service are that the PATIA learning media can strengthen conceptual understanding of statistics materials, especially in finding the mean, mode, median, and quartiles of single data. This community service activity has a positive impact on teachers and students through the use of PATIA learning media in the classroom. Teachers' skills in implementing PATIA learning media and student learning motivation have increased, and this community service activity helps teachers deliver material in a practical and easy-to-understand manner.
