Abstract

In Indonesia, Leptocorisa sp. is one of the pests that can cause a yield reduction of up to 50%. Control is generally carried out using chemical insecticides which can have a negative impact. Therefore it is necessary to look for control alternatives that are safe and environmentally friendly. This study aims to determine the type and height of bait traps that are most effective in controlling stink bugs on rice plants. Four replications of a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) were utilized in this investigation. According to the findings of the observations, there are on average 7.0 individuals of Leptocorisa sp., the most attracted golden snail bait, with a height of 20 cm above the rice plant. Leptocorisa sp. attack intensity. The highest was in the pineapple skin bait trap treatment with a range of 14.0-19.9%, while the lowest was in the golden snail bait trap treatment with a range of 1.1-2.6%. The installation of bait traps should be done at the right generative phase of the rice plant, to obtain effective results.

Abstract

The coral reef ecosystem in West Kalimantan is mostly found on the Lemukutan Island Tourism Beach, Bengkayang Regency. Lemukutan Island has an area of 1,235 Ha and has potential marine resources that can be developed and utilized by the surrounding community and the government. The aim of this research is to determine the percentage of coral cover in Surau Bay and Cina Bay. The research used the Underwater Photo Transect (UPT) method with a line transect of 50 m and a square transect measuring (58 x 44) cm². The photo shoot results were then analyzed using Coral Point Count with Excel Extensions (CPCE) computer software to obtain coral cover data and coral lifeform categories. The research results for stations 1 and 2 show Hard Coral (HC) cover of 43.80% and 35.33%. HC cover at both stations is in the medium category. The percentage of Dead Coral (DC) for stations 1 and 2 is 21.73% and 19.40%. There are several coral lifeforms in the observation area, namely Acropora Branching (ACB), Acropora Tabulate (ACT), Coral Heliopora (CHL), Coral Mushroom (CMR), Coral Encrusting (ACE), Coral Foliose (CF), and Coral Massive (CM).

Abstract

Abstract

upplementary Feeding (PMT) is a vital service at Integrated Healthcare Centers (Posyandu) that requires balanced nutritional content and varied preparations. Therefore, training on innovative PMT preparation for healthcare cadres is essential. This community service activity aimed to develop innovative PMT based on fish and vegetable preparations, featuring balanced nutrition and an appealing taste. This activity involved eight cadres from the Sedap Malam Integrated Healthcare Center and was conducted in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation stage identified partner needs, while the implementation included material delivery and hands-on practice. At the end of the activity, an organoleptic test was conducted on the resulting products. The organoleptic test results showed a high acceptance rate for the fish-based PMT innovation, with an average preference score of 84.4% for taste, color, and texture. This product can serve as a solution for fulfilling toddler nutrition. Similar activities should be developed involving various parties, such as the government, universities, and the private sector.
