Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the positive and significant relationship between the professional competence of Christian Religious Education (CRE) teachers and the learning outcomes of class VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Balige in the 2024/2025 academic year. This research uses a quantitative method with a descriptive inferential approach. The population of the study consists of all class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Balige, totaling 149 students. The sampling method used is random sampling, with a sample size of 54 students. The research instruments used are a closed questionnaire to measure the professional competence of teachers and UH (Ulangan Harian or Daily Test) scores to measure student learning outcomes. The data analysis results show that: a) the correlation test obtained a value of rcount = 0.293, which is greater than rtable = 0.226, indicating a positive relationship between the two variables; b) the significance test yielded a value of tcount = 2.210, which is greater than ttable = 2.000, meaning the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the professional competence of CRE teachers has a significant relationship with student learning outcomes. Therefore, improving teachers’ professional competence is expected to enhance student learning outcomes. This study contributes to the development of education and can serve as a reference for teachers and schools to improve the quality of teaching.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning model on the learning activity of Christian Religious Education of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Laguboti in the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The method used in this study is a descriptive quantitative research method with an inferential statistical approach. The population is all class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Laguboti in the 2023/2024 Academic Year who are Christian, totaling 164 people and a sample of 49 people is determined, which is 30% of the population using the simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using a positive closed questionnaire of 33 items. The results of the data analysis show that there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning model on the learning activity of Christian Religious Education of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Laguboti in the 2023/2024 Academic Year: 1) Analysis requirements test: a) positive relationship test obtained rxy value = 0.682> rtable ( = 0.05, n = 49) = 0.281 thus it is known that there is a positive relationship between variable X and variable Y. b) Significant relationship test obtained tcount value = 6.397> ttable ( = 0.05, dk = n-2 = 47) = 2.021 thus there is a significant relationship between variable X and variable Y. 2) Influence test: a) Regression equation test, obtained regression equation Y ̂="17.16" + 1.08X. b) Regression determination coefficient test (r2) = 46.5%. 3) Hypothesis testing using the F test obtained Fcount > Ftable = ( = 0.05, df numerator k = 16, df denominator = n-2 = 49-2 = 47) which is 40.85 > 1.51. Thus Ha, namely there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning model on the activeness of learning Christian Religious Education of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Laguboti in the 2023/2024 Academic Year is accepted and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the positive and significant influence of the demonstration method on students' active learning in the Christian Religious Education and Character Education subjects in class VII SMP Negeri 4 Tarutung for the 2023/2024 academic year. The method used in this research uses a quantitative approach with inferential statistical analysis techniques. The population is all class VII students at SMP Negeri 4 Tarutung for the 2023/2024 academic year who are Protestant Christians, totaling 123 people and a sample of 37 people was determined, namely 30% of the population using the Simple Random Sampling technique. Data was collected using a positive closed questionnaire with 31 items. The results of data analysis show that there is a positive and significant influence of the demonstration method on students' active learning in the Christian Religious Education and Character Education subjects in class VII SMP Negeri 4 Tarutung for the 2023/2024 academic year: 1) Test the analysis requirements: a) test a positive relationship obtained rxy value = 0.503 > rtable(a=0.05,n=37) = 0.325, thus it is known that there is a positive relationship between variable 0.05,dk=n-2=35)= 2.042, thus there is a significant relationship between variable "+0.46X. b) Regression coefficient of determination test (r2) = 25.3%. 3) Test the hypothesis using the F test to obtain Fcount > Ftable=(a=0.05, dk numerator k=13, dk denominator=n-2=37-2=35) namely 11.84 > 2.09. Thus, Ha, that is, there is a positive and significant influence of the demonstration method on students' active learning in the Christian Religious Education and Character Education subjects for class VII SMP Negeri 4 Tarutung for the 2023/2024 academic year is accepted and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the positive and significant influence of the discussion method on the interest in learning Christian Religious Education of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Sipoholon in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The method used in this study uses a quantitative approach method. The population is all class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Sipoholon in the 2024/2025 Academic Year totaling 205 people and a sample of 41 people is determined, which is 20% of the population. Data were collected using a positive closed questionnaire of 42 items. The results of data analysis show that there is a positive and significant influence of the discussion method on the interest in learning Christian Religious Education of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Sipoholon in the 2024/2025 Academic Year: 1) Analysis requirements test: a) positive relationship test obtained rxy value = 0.549> rtable (a = 0.05, n = 41) = 0.308 thus it is known that there is a positive relationship between variable X and variable Y. b) Significant relationship test obtained tcount value = 4.101> ttable (a = 0.05, dk = n-2 = 39) = 2.021 thus there is a significant relationship between variable X and variable Y. 2) Influence test: a) Regression equation test, obtained regression equation Y ̂="35","76"+1.13X. b) Regression determination coefficient test (r2) = 30.1%. 3) Hypothesis testing using the F test obtained Fcount> Ftable=(a=0.05, dk numerator k=16, dk denominator=n-2=41-2=39) which is 16.81> 1.51. Thus Ha, namely there is a positive and significant influence of the discussion method on the interest in learning Christian Religious Education of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Sipoholon in the 2024/2025 Academic Year, is accepted and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

Learning models greatly determine the success of learning, including students' interest in learning. This research aims to determine the effect of implementing the Make A Match learning model on interest in studying Christian Religious Education and Characteristics of class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Pagaran, North Tapanuli Regency for the 2023/2024 academic year. The method used in this research is a quantitative method, a type of pre-experimental approach with a "One Group Pretest-Posttest Design" design. The population was all 200 students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Pagaran who were Christians and a sample of 35 people was determined, namely class Data analysis uses the paired sample t-test formula. After conducting a pretest and posttest on the sample, the results of data analysis showed that the tcount > ttable value was 21.333 > 1.691. So H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. Based on the results of this research, it is known that by using the Make A Match learning model students' interest in learning can increase, this can be seen from the average score of 87.74 to 103 with a difference of 15.26. Thus, the researchers concluded that there was a positive and significant influence of implementing the Make A Match learning model on interest in studying Christian Religious Education and Character in Class

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out that the learning outcomes of students taught with Microsoft Power Point media are higher than the learning outcomes of students taught without Microsoft Power Point Media for class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sianjur for the 2023/2024 academic year. The research hypothesis is: "The learning outcomes of students in Christian Religious Education who are taught using Microsoft Power Point media are higher than the learning outcomes of students who are taught without Microsoft Power Point media in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Sianjur starting in the 2023/2024 academic year." This research method is a quantitative approach with a true experimental design method in the form of a Posttest-Only Control group design. The population is all Class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Sianjur Mulamula as many as 151 people and the sample was determined using a purposive sampling system, namely students in class VIII-4 totaling 30 people as an experimental class using Microsoft Power Point media and class VIII-5 totaling 30 people. as a control class that does not use Microsoft Power Point media. The instrument used in this research was a test with 33 questions. Research data for the test was analyzed using the Pool Variance t test formula. From the calculation results, the value of tcount = 4.941 > ttable(α=5%) = 1.671. The tcount value is in the curve area of ​​rejection of H0 and acceptance of Ha. Thus, it can be concluded that the research hypothesis is accepted, namely that there is an influence of Microsoft Power Point learning media on the learning outcomes of Christian Religious Education for class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Sianjur Mulamula for the 2023/2024 academic year. The difference in PAK learning outcomes in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Sianjur for the 2023/2024 academic year is known from the average Christian Religious Education learning outcomes for students using Microsoft Power Point media which is 0.80 higher than the average PAK learning outcomes for students. by not using Microsoft Power Point media, namely 0.71.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are 1) to determine the influence of church ministry on the character formation of Sunday School children at HKBP Partahanan Medan; 2) to determine the influence of parental attention on the character formation of Sunday School children at HKBP Partahanan Medan; and 3) to determine the combined influence of church ministry and parental attention on the character formation of Sunday School children at HKBP Partahanan Medan. This study employed a quantitative method with inferential statistics. The sample consisted of 31 Sunday School congregants. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using regression and correlation tests. The results indicate that: 1) Church ministry has a positive and significant influence on the character formation of Sunday School children, with an F-value of 60.290 and a significance level of 0.000; 2) Parental attention has a positive and significant influence on the character formation of Sunday School children; and 3) Church ministry and parental attention jointly exert a positive and significant influence, contributing 71.6% to the variation in children’s character formation.Thus, it can be concluded that effective church ministry and consistent parental attention are the primary factors influencing the character formation of Sunday School children at HKBP Partahanan Medan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to 1) find out whether there is a relationship between the Spirituality of PAK Teachers and the Christian Character Formation of Teb State Middle School Students, 2) find out whether there is a relationship between Bible Study and the Christian Character Formation of Tebo State Middle School Students, 3) to find out whether there is a relationship between the Spirituality of PAK Teachers and Bible Study on the Formation of the Christian Character of Shiva SMP N Tebo. The research hypothesis is: "There is a significant relationship between PAK Teacher Spirituality and Bible Study on the Formation of Christian Character of N Tebo Middle School Students." The population is students of class VIII and IX of SMP N 3 Tebo, SMP N 30 Tebo, SMP N 31 Tebo totaling 290 people who are Christians. The research sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique, namely 36 students from class VIII and IX of SMP N Tebo as an experimental class using Religious Education and Bible Study Teacher Spirituality and 36 students from class XI MIPA 3 as a control class using normal treatment (conventional class). The instrument used in this research was a 50-item questionnaire. Research data for the questionnaire was analyzed using the average difference test formula (N-Gain Score). It was found that the average value for the experimental class was 82.4369 in the effective category. And the average value for the control class is 22.9433, which is in the ineffective category. Then carrying out an independent test using the t test obtained a value of t = 20.376> t table (α = 0.05; df = 70) = 2,000. Thus, it can be concluded that the research hypothesis is accepted, namely that there is a relationship between the Spirituality of Religious Education Teachers and Bible Study on the Formation of Christian Character in N Tebo Middle School Students, and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine: 1) the magnitude of the influence of using the Quizizz application on student learning motivation; 2) the great influence of parental attention on student learning motivation; 3) the big influence of using the quizizz application and parental attention together on student learning motivation. The method used in this research is a quantitative research method. The population was all 250 students of class Data was collected using a closed questionnaire with 56 items. The results of data analysis show that: 1) the calculated F value > F table between the principal's Innovative leadership on Teacher Work Motivation is 17.954 > 3.15, thus it is known that there is an influence between the principal's Innovative leadership on the Work Motivation of Public High School Teachers in SMA Negeri 1 Bangko Pusako is 25.7%, 2) the calculated F value > F table between the use of the Quizizz application and parental attention to student learning motivation, namely 27.811 > 3.15, thus it is known that there is an influence between the use of the Quizizz application and parental attention to learning motivation. Bangko Pusako 1 Public High School students are 34.8%, 3) the calculated F value > F table influences the use of the Quizizz application and parental attention on student learning motivation, namely 16.654 > 3.15, thus it is known that there is use of the Quizizz application and parental attention. Regarding the Learning Motivation of Bangko Pusako 1 Public High School Students, it is 39.5%, thus Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.
