Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the positive and significant influence of the Exemplary Christian Education Teacher on the Character of Class X Students of SMK Negeri 1 Raya, Simalungun Regency in the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The research method used was a quantitative method with descriptive statistics. The population was 159 Protestant Christian students of class X of SMK Negeri 1 Raya, Simalungun Regency in the 2023/2024 Academic Year and a sample of 40 people was determined using a random sampling technique. Data were collected using a positive closed questionnaire of 39 items, namely 20 items for variable X and 19 items for variable Y. The results of the data analysis showed that there was a positive and significant influence of the Exemplary Christian Religious Education Teachers on the Character of Class X Students of SMK Negeri 1 Raya, Simalungun Regency in the 2023/2024 Academic Year, as evidenced by the following data analysis: 1) Analysis requirements test: a) Positive relationship test obtained rxy value = 0.479> rtable ( = 0.05, n = 40) = 0.312. b) Significant relationship test obtained tcount = 3.364> ttable ( = 0.05, dk = n-2 = 38) = 2.021. 2) Influence test: a) Regression equation test Y ̂="2.85" + 0.79X. b) Regression determination coefficient test (r2) = 22.9%. 3) Hypothesis testing using the F test obtained Fcount > Ftable = ( = 0.05, df numerator k = 13, df denominator = n-2 = 40-2 = 38) which is 11.3 > 2.00. Thus Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the positive and significant influence of Religious Education Teachers' Communication Skills on the Effectiveness of Students' Learning in Religious Education and Character Subjects in Class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Balige for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The method used in this research is an inferential quantitative method. The population was all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Balige who were Protestant Christians, totaling 227 people, and the research sample was determined to be 56 people, namely 25% of the total population. Data was collected using a positive closed questionnaire with 44 items. The results of the data analysis show that there is a positive and significant influence on the communication skills of PAK teachers on the effectiveness of students' learning in the PAK and Character subjects for Class VIII at SMP Negeri 2 Balige for the 2023/2024 academic year, proven through the following data analysis: 1) Requirement test analysis: a) a positive relationship test obtained a value of rxy = 0.520 > ttable(a=0.05,n=56) = 0.226, thus it is known that there is a positive relationship between variable X and variable Y. b) A significant relationship test was obtained tcount= 4.479 > ttabel(a=0,05,dk=n-2=54))= 2.000, thus there is a significant relationship between variable X and variable Y. 2) Test the effect: a) Test the regression equation, obtain the regression equation Y ̂="21.41"+0.48X. b) Regression coefficient of determination test (r2) = 27.1%. 3) Test the hypothesis using the F test to obtain Fcount > Ftable =(a=0.05, dk numerator k=29, dk denominator=n-2=56-2=54) namely 20.01 > 1.39. Thus it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the strategy of teacher Pak in implementing modern-based learning at the junior high school level. With a qualitative descriptive research method with a literature study approach or library research. Christian Religious Education (PAK) plays a very important role in shaping the character, nature, and behavior of students, and the most important thing is the growth of their faith. Currently, in the twenty-first century, when internet technology is widely used to process information, this has significant consequences for the world of education, with both positive and negative consequences. Digital learning is an effort to improve the quality of learning and not just utilizing digital tools in the classroom. Therefore, digital learning cannot be a trend to use digital tools but a responsibility to improve the quality of learning. By mastering digital competencies and the availability of facilities that support the implementation of digital-based learning, it can be applied maximally and teachers can pour out their creativity to create a new innovation in learning. The limited devices owned by students as a supporter of the learning process are one of the obstacles in implementing technology in the digital transformation era besides signals that we cannot control because not all students are able and come from families with upper economies who at least have android or laptop facilities.

Abstract

Character formation of children in Christian religious education faces new challenges in the digital era. This journal discusses the challenges and solutions in character formation of children in the digital era. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature review (library research). The results of the study indicate that there are challenges that must be faced when education is faced with the era of technology that is increasingly developing rapidly. However, if the use of technology is wise, parental supervision, and effective religious education can help shape strong children's characters and this is a very good solution to help the development of students, especially in the scope of Christian Religious Education.

Abstract

Based on the results obtained, there are several difficulties or problems in its implementation, for example one of them is the reduction in human resources in this case, namely educators, and other things. The Merdeka Belajar curriculum focuses on important material, is flexible for teachers and students, and is project and character-based. By increasing teacher understanding, increasing resources, increasing parental participation, and developing a more contextual curriculum, it is hoped that the quality of religious education can be improved.

Abstract

Curriculum is very important in education. The Merdeka Curriculum brings a new way of teaching and learning between students and teachers. Christian religious education is also implemented in the Merdeka curriculum. As a subject that must instill Christian values. Abstract

Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) menghadapi tantangan dalam hal pemahaman materi oleh siswa. Banyak siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep-konsep dasar dan aplikasi nilai-nilai agama Kristen dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi strategi-strategi efektif dalam mengatasi kesulitan pemahaman materi PAK di kalangan siswa SMA, serta tantangan yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam implementasi pembelajaran. Melalui pendekatan kajian pustaka dan studi kasus, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa strategi-strategi seperti penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang interaktif, pengintegrasian teknologi dalam pembelajaran, serta pendekatan berbasis pengalaman dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Selain itu, peran guru sebagai fasilitator dan motivator sangat penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung. Tantangan utama yang dihadapi termasuk keterbatasan waktu, kurangnya minat siswa, dan perbedaan kemampuan belajar. Solusi yang diusulkan meliputi peningkatan pelatihan guru, pengembangan materi ajar yang lebih kontekstual, dan penggunaan media pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan relevan dengan kehidupan siswa.

Abstract

Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam keluarga memainkan peran yang sangat penting dalam membangun spiritualitas anak, terutama di era digital saat ini. Di tengah pesatnya perkembangan teknologi dan informasi, anak-anak cenderung terpapar dengan berbagai macam media yang dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan karakter dan spiritualitas mereka. Oleh karena itu, peran keluarga sebagai lingkungan pertama dan utama dalam pendidikan agama sangat diperlukan untuk membentuk pondasi spiritual yang kuat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pentingnya pendidikan agama Kristen dalam keluarga dan strategi yang dapat diterapkan untuk membangun spiritualitas anak di tengah tantangan era digital. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur dan wawancara dengan orang tua yang menerapkan pendidikan agama Kristen di dalam keluarga mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan nilai-nilai agama Kristen secara konsisten dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, baik melalui doa, pembacaan Alkitab, maupun dialog spiritual, sangat membantu anak dalam membangun spiritualitas yang kokoh. Meskipun ada tantangan dalam menghadapi pengaruh negatif teknologi, keluarga yang menerapkan pendidikan agama Kristen dengan penuh perhatian dan kasih sayang dapat membentuk karakter dan spiritualitas anak yang positif.
