Abstract

This research aims to analyze the income of Root Water trader at Tampan Subdistrict, Pekanbaru City. Root Water  is a traditional healthy drink from West Sumatera. This is the first research that talks about Root Water at Agribusiness Major, Agricultural Faculty, Riau University. Method which is used at this research is census method. The amount of respondent on this research are 21 traders. Business scale of this research is categorized as micro-scale business, as the number of employee that is participated on this business is only one or two participant per single operational day. None of the business owner at this research went bankrupt. According to the result of this research, the number of average net profit (advantage) from root water trader at Tampan Subdistrict Pekanbaru City is Rp.3.591.390,-. Abstract

The aims of this study were (1) to analyze the roles of  socialization which have been implemented on rubber farming in Kuok Regency, (2) to analyze the level of farmers empowerment on private rubber farming on Kuok Regency, (3) to analyze relationship between the role of socialization and the empowement of rubber farmers on Kuok Regency. Samples were collected using purposive sampling method on Kuok Regency. There were 50 private rubber farmers as samples. The data were analyzed using double regretion. The analysis results showed that (1) agricultural socialization on rubber farmer activity in Kuok Regency has been quite affected. The role of socialization with education, disemination, consultation and supervision were categorized as quite affected while the role of fasilitation, monitoring and evaluation on socialization were less affected. (2) The empowerment of self- private rubber farmers on Kuok Regency was categorized less affected. The empowerment could be found on productive economics which categorized well affected while the farmers empowerment from human resources and farmers institutional on Kuok Regency was not effected significantly by education, disemination, fasilitation, consultation, supervision. Evaluation and monitoring were well affected but not significantly on empowerment of rubber farmers.Keywords: Socialization, empowerment, rubber farmers, self-helped

Abstract

Rubber plantations are one of the source life for people of Riau . Most of the rubber plantations in Riau Province is dominated by smallholder plantations cultivated independently on a small scale and traditional. So that production tends not optimal. This is due to farmers' lack of knowledge of how to farm properly. The government's concern for farmers who are independent smallholder is expected through extension. The purpose of this research are to analyze the roles of what is already run by agricultural extension workers to independent rubber farmers in Peranap District views of education, dissemination, facilitation, consultation, supervision and monitoring / evaluation. This research was conducted in Semelinang  Darat and Pauh Ranap Village Peranap District Indragiri Hulu Regency. The method used is survey with a sample of 120 independent smallholder rubber farmers, with details of each village was taken 60 respondents. The results showed that the role of education is quite a role in the activities of rubber farming in the district Peranap, as seen from education, dissemination, facilitation, consultation, supervision, monitoring and evaluation with a score of 2.83. Extension instrumental in educating farmers indicated by a score of 2.94, dissemination of information with a score of 2.79, with a score of 2.67 facilitation, consultation with a score of 2.93, with a score of 2.79 supervision and monitoring and evaluation with a score of 2, 87. Abstract

Conflict is an unavoidable fact of life and often creative. Conflicts occured when the purpose of society is not the same way. Various of disagreements and conflicts can usually be resolved without violence, and often by results in better situation for most or all of the parties involved. The purpose of this study to know perceptions and expectations of Tani Saiyo Cooperative towards conflict by PT. Citra Riau Sarana in Perhentian Luas District of Logas Tanah Darat Regency of Kuantan Singingi. Determination of the respondents used is key informan. Determination of sample conducted census sampling by thorough sampling techniques. Respondent was taken only 30 members of Tani Saiyo Cooperative as sample. The techniques of data collection used the method of survey. The data has beenob tained qualitative descriptive. The tabulation has done by making distribution of respondents from each of the variables studied. To describe perception variables conflict towards Tani Saiyo cooperative was used 5W+1H. While, expectation variable Scale of Liker's Summated Rating (LSR) was used. The results showed that:(1) Perceptions of Tani Saiyo Cooperative in Perhentian Luas Village has understanding of conflict issue by measured of perception towards of the conflict understanding, perceptions of understanding of the  perpetrators purposes of conflict and perception of conflict perpetrators. (2) Expectations of Tani Saiyo cooperative towards of conflict in the category of high expectations with the score 3,60 as measured from goal, pathway thinking and agency thingking. Abstract

The purpose of this study is: 1) Identify factors causing land convertion in the Subdistrict Sabak Auh District Siak. 2) Know coping strategies land convertion rice plants in the Subdistrict Sabak Auh District Siak. This research held in the Sub District Sabak Auh District Siak. The method in this research is : survey method. Sampling technique is purposive sampling. 30 farmers are doing land convertion from plants rice to oil palm plantations taken as respondents. Analysis of data to answer the goal that is using likert scale. To answer the second goal using SWOT analysis. The result showed: 1) There are four aspects of the cause of land convertion. economi aspect ‘Agree’, environmental aspect ‘Quite Agree’, technical aspects ‘Quite Agree’, social aspects ‘Quite Agree’. Causing farmers to land convertion from rice plants to palm oil plntations caused by economic aspects. 2) there are three strategies to overcome land convertion that is : a) With adequate irrigation system, optimal extention role, made laws about land convertion can compete with palm oil plantations income side, b) rice plants is the highest demand and easy marketing that can meet the needs of the community. c) with strict legislation will lead to the need for rice is met.Keywords :Land Convertion, Tackle Land Convertion, Rice Plants, Oil Palm Plantation

Abstract

This study aims to (1) find out the characteristics of the society of the utilization yard in  Sidomulyo Village, Lirik subdistrict, Indragiri Hulu District (2) to find out the pattern of the yard Sidomulyo Village, Lirik subdistrict, Indragiri Hulu District. This research was conducted in Sidomulyo Village, Lirik subdistrict, Indragiri Hulu District, from Januari 2018 to November 2018 using snowball sampling. The number of samples in this study amounted to 25 people, where all samples used the yard. Data analysis used in this study is descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate: (1) The Characteristics that influence the society in the used of yard are age, sex, education, income, and dependents of family, (2) The pattern of yard use of respondents in Sidomulyo Village is that the whole uses a horizontal pattern (100%) and there were no respondents in Maharatu Village who used the verticulture patternKeywords: yard, Society, yard pattern.

Abstract

Village’s corporation (BUMDes) is an institution that was builded by the village govermant that capital prosses and operational had efforted  by the village govermant and society. The formed of BUMDes based on  need and potential of village to increasingly the economics and build the village society social relations. Porpose of  this researh are: (1) to analyze the effectiveness of BUMDes Sumber Makmur corporation based on members preceptions. (2) to analyze the efficient in using of resource by BUMDes Sumber Makmur Corporation  based on members perceptions. (3) to know the sustainable BUMDes Sumber Makmur corporation based on members preceptions. The analyze of members preceptions to performance BUMDes corporation measuring by ordinal skale that is using the orientation on Likert’s Summated Rating Scale (LSRS), in every choices of answers gave the score. The research result showed that the preciptions of members to performance of BUMDes from the effectiveness variable corporation obtained skor 3,79 and it has included in the good category, efficiency variable in using of resource obtained skor 4,49, it has perfomed very well, and on the sustainable variable BUMDes Sumber Makmur corporation obtained skor 4,43, it also had included in very well category. Abstract

The purposes of this research is to determind the organizing of extension oil palm plantations and to determind the agricultural extension field perceptions for importance the role of extension oil palm plantations. The method taked of data used is a survey method. Intake of respondents in this study conducted with purposive sampling with consideration of agricultural extention field with civil servants status in the agricultural extension center model in XIII Koto Kampar District with total six respondents. Data were analyzed with descriptive analyzed method of Likert's Summated Rating Scale. Variables this research are the role of extension sourch Mardikanto (2009) and Law No. 16 of 2006 of nine sub-variables. The result illustrate that organizing of extension in XIII Koto Kampar District has gone well according the elements of extension. The agricultural extension field perceptions describe the role of extension are "important" with a score of 3.92,  this can be seen from the sub-variables: (1) Facilitating the learning process is “important” with a score of 3.92; (2) Ease of acces is “important” with a score of 4.02; (3) Leadership ability is “important” with a score of 3.96; (4) Developing the organization is “important” with a score of 4.00; (5) Analyzing and solving problems is “important” with a score of 3.97; (6) Developing awareness is “important” with a score of 3.71; (7) Institutionalizing the cultural values is “important” with a score of 3.80; (8) Supervision or guidance is “important” with a score of 4.17; and (9) Evaluation is “important” with a score of 3.78.   Keywords: agricultural extension field perceptions, the importance of role extension, and oil palm plantations.

Abstract

This study was conducted in Nagari Sungai Tarab Simpuruik Tanah Datar, Nagari Simpuruik been divided into two Jorong namely Jorong Simpuruik and Sijangek. This study was conducted to identify local wisdom that never existed and still exists today, as well as analyzing the local wisdom that are environmentally friendly and any strategy in maintaining indigenous rice crops. The author's purpose which is to collect old culture that has been lost and record any culture that has been lost, thereby maintaining local knowledge of the area. The method used is qualitative the research methods used to examine the condition of natural objects. The sampling technique using snowball sampling techniques in sequence to obtain the saturation point of a question. By way of in-depth interviews with respondents and record it in the form of voice recorder that uses a questionnaire that has been made previously. Local knowledge is a form habits of the people who uphold the norms and values ​​of their culture, they run it for generations to his son and nephew in running their daily lives. In this study there is local wisdom that are still running, even though the procedures taught were not overly done. But they still carry out such wisdom.   Keywords: Local Wisdom. Environment.
