Abstract

The public has many ways to invest money, one of them by buying obligation in the capital market. A rational investor should consider the expected income and risk of alternative investments contained does. The study was conducted to determine the rate of return/ total risk of stocks returns and investment in the company/ issuer elected and predict stock returns one year later. Analysis of the data used are time series analysis using decomposition-ARIMA method. The data used in this study is the stock return of monthly data from January 2003 to December 2007. Analysis of stock returns from January 2003 to December 2007 showeda trend of rising prices down. Fluctuations in stock returns peaked in August 2004. Decomposition method is used to forecast the trend and seasonal component, while the ARIMA method is used to predict cyclical and random components. Decomposition method used is the multiplicative decomposition. The best ARIMA models used to predict cyclical and random components of the ARMA (2,1) in equation form as follows :0,6286 + 0,3480  + - 0,9361 The value of MAPE = 17,89 % dan MSE = 9,471. Forecastong is done to show that the lowest return in January is the right position to buy the stock, while the highest return in March is the right position to sell the stock.

Abstract

Students abilities can be developed through lectures, one of which is variable Calculus 2. In order for the maximum tuition required of a material that can support course lectures. In West Sumatra, Padang PGRI STKIP students only rely on one textbook only when the lectures, so the motivation and low student interest in learning. Therefore it takes a lecture materials that can help facilitate students in the lecture, which is a modul. The purpose of this study is to develop a modul valid, practical and effective in subjects STKIP PGRI Calculus 2 in West Sumatra.This study is a research development. This modul was developed by using the 4D model (define, design, develop, and desseminate). Phase desseminate not done. The data was collected with the validation and testing of the modul. modul is validated by the lecturer and expert Calculus 2, as well as Indonesian lecturers. Tests carried out on mathematics education students STKIP PGRI West Sumatra to know praktikalitas and effectiveness of the modul.         The results showed that: 1) modul is valid (including the content and construct validity) of the validators point of view, 2) the use of modul in the lecture did not experience significant barriers. The book is a practical work according to students and lecturers; and 3) modul have been effective. This is evident from the activities of students and high motivation to learn after the lecture.

Abstract

Kemampuan siswa dapat dikembangkan melalui perkuliahan, salah satunya adalah melalui variabel Kalkulus 2. Agar kuliah menjadi lebih maksimal, diperlukan bahan yang dapat mendukung proses perkuliahan. Di Sumatera Barat, Padang, mahasiswa STKIP PGRI hanya mengandalkan satu buku ketika kuliah. Hal ini mengakibatkan motivasi dan minat mahasiswa dalam belajar menjadi rendah. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan bahan kuliah yang dapat membantu memfasilitasi mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan, yaitu sebuah modul. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan modul yang valid, praktis dan efektif dalam mata kuliah Kalkulus 2 di STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Modul ini dikembangkan dengan menggunakan model 4D (mendefinisikan, mendesain, mengembangkan, dan menyebarluaskan). Tahap menyebarluaskan tidak dilakukan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan validasi dan pengujian modul. Modul divalidasi oleh Dosen dan Ahli Kalkulus 2, serta Dosen Bahasa Indonesia. Pengujian dilakukan pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat untuk mengetahui praktikalitas dan efektivitas dari modul tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul sudah valid (termasuk isi dan validitas konstruksi) dari hasil penilaian validator. Selanjutnya, penggunaan modul di kuliah tidak mengalami hambatan yang berarti. Buku ini adalah kerja praktek yang sesuai dengan mahasiswa dan Dosen dan modul ini sudah efektif. Hal ini terlihat dari aktivitas dan motivasi mahasiswa yang tinggi untuk belajar setelah kuliah.

Abstract

Algebra structure is a branch of abstract mathematics, which is generally more difficult than the other more concrete branches of mathematics. The on going problems in the subject of  Algebra structure is the students do not understand about the concept of algebra structures, so that students have difficulty in using theories or theorems in evidence. In addition, another cause is the algebra structure of the teaching material is too abstract, so that students are less motivated to read supporting books and it causes low student activities. There may be one way to improve the motivation, activity and learning outcomes of students like using the Student Worksheet (MFIs). The purpose of this research was to develop an effective MFI Guided on the subject of Algebraic Structures in STKIP PGRI West Sumatra. This type of research was a developmental research. This research used 4-D models composed of 4 phases: definition phase (define), the design (design), development (develop) and spread (disseminate). In the deployment phase of the trial is limited to classes only. Effectiveness was analyzed through the observation student activity during lectures, student motivation by providing motivation questionnaire after using Guided MFI and student outcomes. Data analysis was analyzed descriptively with the results after using Guided MFIs in the subject of Algebra structure can enhance the activity, motivation and learning outcomes of students. The level of student mastery learning outcomes is more than 68%. It means that MFI Guided is effective in improving the student learning outcomes. The results show that the MFIs Guided on the subject of Algebra Structure developed has been effectively used as a teaching material for students.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning disertai Teknik Kepala Bernomor lebih baik daripada hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Jenis penelitian adalah eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian random terhadap subjek. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 7 Padang yang terdiri dari 8 kelas pada Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak, yang terpilih sebagai kelas eksperimen adalah kelas VIII1dan  sebagai kelas kontrol adalah kelas VIII2. Instrumen penelitian adalah tes akhir. Bentuk tes yang digunakan adalah bentuk essay dengan reliabilitas tes 0,92 dan  Berarti soal tes dinyatakan reliabel karena . Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t satu pihak. Berdasarkan analisis data tes akhir dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil  belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMPN 7 Padang yang menerapkan model pembelajaran problem based learning disertai teknik kepala bernomor sama dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa yang menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Struktur aljabar merupakan salah satu cabang matematika abstrak, yang umumnya lebih  sulit dibandingkan dengan cabang  matematika   lain  yang  lebih  konkret. Permasalahan yang selama ini terjadi pada mata kuliah Struktur Aljabar, bahwa mahasiswa kurang memahami konsep struktur aljabar sehingga mahasiswa kesulitan menggunakan teori-teori atau teorema-teorema dalam pembuktian. Selain itu, penyebab lain adalah bahan ajar struktur aljabar yang ada juga bersifat abstrak, sehingga mahasiswa kurang termotivasi dalam membaca buku-buku penunjang. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan  menggunakan  Lembar  Kerja  Mahasiswa  (LKM).  Tujuan  penelitian  ini  adalah  menguji praktikalitas LKM Struktur Aljabar yang telah divalidasi oleh pakar Matematika, Struktur Aljabar dan Bahasa di STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. LKM Terbimbing menurut mahasiswa sudah sangat praktis digunakan. Waktu yang digunakan sudah mencukupi dan materi yang ada membuat mahasiswa  mengerti dalam memahami materi ring.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kemampuan visualisasi mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran geometri masih rendah dimana mahasiswa harus menggunakan alat peraga untuk memvisualisasikan materi geometri sehingga berdampak terhadap pemahaman dan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan modul aplikasi komputer dengan program wingeom yang valid untuk materi geometri ditinjau dari segi kelayakan isi, kelayakan bahasa, kelayakan penyajian dan mendeskripsikan efektifitas tentang hasil belajar mahasiswa setelah diberikan modul aplikasi komputer dengan program wingeom yang valid untuk materi geometri di Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika di STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. Model pengembangan penelitian ini menggunakan model rancangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah 1) menghasilkan modul aplikasi komputer dengan program wingeom yang valid setelah melalui tahap desain kemudian direvisi dengan nilai validitas aspek kelayakan isi 80,35%,  nilai validitas aspek penyajian 73,61%, nilai validitas aspek kebahasaan 76,38%, dan nilai validitas kegrafikaan 71,43%. 2) keefektifan berdasarkan hasil belajar mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan nilai rata-rata mahasiswa dari nilai tes awal (pretest) ke nilai tes akhir (posttest) dengan nilai signifikan 5,68. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah modul aplikasi komputer dengan program wingeom untuk materi geometri dapat dikategorikan valid dan efektif.

Abstract

Geometry flat side material is crucial subject for students in senior high school. As the development of technology that increases very rapidly, it provides a chance to develop Media Interactive Learning (MPI) such as Course Lab MPI 2.4. This study was conducted to create a valid interactive multimedia teaching material, practical, and effective. Since there are correlated between spatial reasoning and student learning achievements, the influence of Course lab on the improvement of spatial reasoning is also seen. Spatial reasoning has three aspects that are mental rotation, spatial orientation, and spatial visualization. This study is a development model consisting plomp as design composed of three phases. The results obtained through this research interactive multimedia teaching material course lab based on geometry flat side were valid, practical, and effective. Students’ test scores average changed at 25 with a standard deviation of 7.07. The test results statistically demonstrated the value which means there were some differences in the average score of the initial test and final test. Course lab also led to improving students’ spatial reasoning. The multimedia developed was effective in improving both student learning achievements and spatial reasoning.

Abstract

 The pandemic has brought about many educational changes. Distance learning has demanded teachers be more creative in teaching. This study aims to develop interactive learning media using the Screencast O Matic application on opportunity materials for class VIII students. This research is development research with a 4D development model design. The samples in this development research were mathematics educators and class VIII students. This development research includes learning design experts, learning experts, media experts, practitioner experts, educator users, and student users. The data analysis used in this development research is quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative data were obtained from scores obtained from product validation questionnaires and qualitative data obtained from comments and suggestions on product validation questionnaires. From the study results, in the needs analysis of 2 educators and 68 students, the percentages were 86% and 84%, respectively, with the conclusion that educators and students agree with the development of interactive media. From the assessment results, the experts obtained an average of 4.5. As for the users of mathematics educators and ten students of class VIII MTs. Get an average of 4.7. The average achievement of the overall assessment is 4.6. So from these results, it can be concluded that the learning media product uses the automatic screencast application and is declared valid and feasible.

Abstract

Learning activities are an effort to increase the potential of students through a series of planned activities. One of the efforts that teachers can make so that the learning process can take place well and can achieve learning objectives is to develop teaching materials. One of the teaching materials that can be developed is the Student Worksheet. Student worksheets are arranged to make it easier for students to complete tasks in learning. In learning, especially mathematics, the independence and activeness of students in learning are factors that influence success in learning. To increase the activeness and independence in this research apply the inquiry method. The stages used in the development of teaching materials in the form of student worksheets (LKS) are research and development with the Borg and Gall model.
