Abstract

Lokasi kota Solok, Sumatera Barat sangat strategis, karena terletak pada persimpangan perlintasan antar propinsi dan antar jalan kabupaten/kota. Karenanya terjadi pertumbuhan pergerakan yang selalu meningkat. Jalan Ahmad Yani dan Bypass Kampai tabu Kerambia (Ktk) yang merupakan lokasi penelitian berdasarkan kondisi lingkungannya memerlukan manajemen pembatasan kecepatan kendaraan. Metodologi pengumpulan data volume dan kecepatan setempat kendaraan dengan perekaman video. Pengolahan data secara deskriptif statistik. Analisa distribusi kecepatan kendaraan untuk Jalan Ahmad Yani dan Jalan Bypass Ktk menunjukkan sepeda motor dan kendaraan ringan melaju dengan kecepatan 50-60 km/jam dimana hal ini melebihi batas kecepatan yang ditetapkan sebesar 50 km/jam. Dari analisa mean dan standar deviasi kecepatan kendaraan berkisar 43-60 km/jam untuk sepeda motor dan kendaraan ringan sedangkan kecepatan kendaraan berat 9-33 km/jam. Jalan Ahmad Yani dan Bypass Ktk memerlukan manajemen kecepatan lalu lintas berupa pembatasan kecepatan kendaraan yaitu rambu larangan batas kecepatan 50 km/jam. Diperlukan juga pemasangan kamera pemantau kecepatan untuk pemberian sanksi/denda.

Abstract

This research has conducted on February 2021 in Kota Pariaman District, Sumatera Barat Province. The intention of this research was to found out the sea level rise rate based on tidal data analysis from 2001-2020 and to predict the inundation area in the 20th, 50th, and 80th to go. The method of this research was a descriptive survey by using remote sensing as the additional equipment to demonstrate the outcome. The acquisition needs are primary (land use and tidal data) and secondary (slope, elevation, land use, and tidal data) data. Those parameters were processed and analyzed to describe the area of inundation by displaying a map of Kota Pariaman. Kota Pariaman territorial water has 0,44 of Formzhal number which means the waters area is classified to mixed semidiurnal tides with the sea level rise value reach out to 2,006 cm/year. Then, the number used to predict the height of sea-level rise in 20th, 50th, and 80th to go, for each is 0,471 m; 1,073 m; and 1,675m. Furthermore, the sea level rise height was analyzed to get the inundation area in 20th, 50th, and 80th to go, turns out the flooded area for each year respectively to 14,56 ha; 23,61 ha, and 38,16 ha

Abstract

Many road damages are caused by road construction that does not follow standards, so evaluating road conditions and choosing the appropriate asphalt for each state is essential. So, in this study, the asphalt mixture was modified using rubber asphalt with a percentage of rubber of 7% in the Hot Rolled Sheet-Wearing Course (HRS-WC). This study aimed to identify the effect of rubber asphalt on Marshall's characteristics and durability in HRS-WC. The method in this study is the Marshall Test and the calculation of the durability index on the test specimen with an immersion time of 0.5, 24, 72, and 168 hours at a temperature of 60°C. From the test results, the Optimum Asphalt Content (OAC) value of the rubber asphalt mixture was 7.13% with Marshall characteristic values of 4078.686 kg, flow 3.266 mm, MQ 1270.676 kg/mm, VMA 21.487%, VFB 71.983%, and VIM 6.062%. From the durability test results, the Residual Strength Index (RSI) value entered the specification only until the 24-hour immersion time with a value of 94.891%. The First Durability Index (FDI) and Second Durability Index (SDI) values are positive, where the mixture loses strength with increasing immersion time. It can be concluded that using rubber asphalt in HRS-WC is good enough for pavement because almost all Marshall characteristics were included in the specifications used. The stability value in the rubber asphalt mixture is higher than that of the pen—60/70 asphalt mixture. However, the level of durability of the rubber asphalt mixture is relatively low because it can only last up to 24 hours of immersion. Therefore, HRS-WC using rubber asphalt is unsuitable in areas with low groundwater levels or areas that often flood.

Abstract

Provinsi Riau memiliki tanah gambut dengan daya dukung rendah, dengan kedalaman hingga mencapai 16 meter. Apabila dilakukan pembangunan jalan di atas tanah gambut maka dapat mempercepat terjadinya penurunan dan kerusakan pada jalan. Perkembangan teknologi timbunan ringan dengan menggunakan mortar busa dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pengganti lapisan pondasi (base). Pasir lokal pada Desa Teratak Buluh Kabupaten Kampar memiliki gradasi lebih halus dari gradasi standar, namun diharapkan dapat dipergunakan dalam pembuatan mortar busa sebagai pengganti lapisan pondasi pada perkerasan jalan di atas tanah gambut yang ada di Provinsi Riau. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis kuat tekan dan berat isi mortar busa dengan gradasi awal pasir terhadap gradasi standar. Metode penelitian dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan melakukan eksperimental di laboratorium sesuai dengan pedoman perancangan campuran material ringan dengan mortar busa untuk konstruksi jalan. Sebagai pengganti lapisan pondasi, berat volume < 0,8 t/m3 dan kuat tekan >2000 kPa. Kesimpulan diperoleh gradasi pasir teratak buluh lebih halus dari pada gradasi PUSJATAN, pasir ini bisa digunakan untuk pembuatan mortar busa dengan kuat tekan > 2000 kPA dengan berat isi 0,90 t/m3.

Abstract

Depending on the material's origin, fiber reinforcement might be classified as waste, synthetic, or natural. Reinforcements made of natural fibers, such plant roots, are biodegradable, environmentally friendly, and have a good impact. Moreover, these fibers are lightweight and extremely rigid, which makes them ideal for improving soil. This research aims to study the effect of plant root reinforcement on the shear strength properties of soils. Soil and root fibers were collected within Universiti Malaysia Sabah Campus before being classified using existing standard. Direct shear box tests were conducted to determine the shear strength of the samples upon mixing with different root types (grass, shrub) at different percentages (0%, 2%, 4%, 6%). Results found that highest cohesion improvement is observed in soil SW-SM and shrub (VH-type) combination. In almost all cases, only insignificance effect is observed in the angle of friction. In conclusion, it was determined that the inclusion of root fiber improves the adhesion and the shear strength properties of the soil.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat, menghendaki setiap perencanaan dan perhitungan dilakukan dengan cepat dan akurat. Perencanaan Geometrik Jalan adalah merencanakan trase jalan lengkap dengan alinemennya. Ada beberapa standar dalam perencanaan geometrik jalan diantaranya AASHTO dan Bina Marga. Penelitian ini merencanakan geometrik jalan dengan menggunakan AutoCAD Civil 3D dan hasilnya akan dibandingkan dengan perencanaan manual yang mengacu kepada Bina Marga. Lokasi yang dipilih untuk perencanaan adalah Jalan Duku Sicincin Sta 0+000 - Sta 2+700. Aplikasi Civil 3D menggunakan standar AASHTO dan perencanaan manual menggunakan standar Bina Marga. Kriteria perencanaannya sama untuk kedua metode. Dari hasil perhitungan didapatkan 4 tikungan SCS dan perbedaan hasil antara Civil 3D dengan perhitungan manual sebesar <0,3 m. Penggambaran superelevasi juga terdapat perbedaan pada jarak antara TS - SC (Civil 3D) yang merupakan panjang run out + run off (panjang run off  Ls desain) sedangkan pada perhitungan manual jarak antara TS - SC pada diagram adalah jarak Ls desain saja. Pada perencanaan alinemen vertikal diperoleh 4 lengkung vertikal yang terdiri dari 2 lengkung cembung dan 2 lengkung cekung dimana hasil keluaran perhitungan Civil 3D dan perhitungan manual hasilnya sama. Dari hasil penelitian ini, AutoCAD Civil 3D dinilai efektif dalam perencanaan geometrik jalan karena membantu proses merencanakan penggambaran secara bersamaan sehingga proses perencanaan akan lebih mudah dan cepat. Hanya terdapat sedikit perbedaan hasil pada parameter tikungan SCS yaitu superelevasi dengan jari-jari 550 m adalah 5,40% pada perhitungan Civil 3D sedangkan pada perencanaan manual adalah 5,55%. Hal ini bisa dilakukan penyesuaian standarnya di bagian desain kriteria ‘xml’ pada Civil 3D, sehingga hasilnya akan sama dengan perhitungan dengan standar Bina Marga.

Abstract

Sawah Lunto – Talawi road segment (STA 139 + 700 m) in Sawah Lunto city, West Sumatera province has sustained major damages and been the scene of several accidents since the past few years. The degression of soft clay subgrade, which has a limited bearing capacity and makes it structurally impractical to sustain road construction, was discovered to be the source of these damages. As a recent option for enhancing soil qualities, soil stabilization by employing a variety of pozzolanic and industrial materials has gained popularity. The objective of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of Portland cement type 1 as stabilizing material in improving the soil properties and carrying capacity requirements for soft clay soil used as subgrade in road construction. To accomplish the objectives of this study, a laboratory testing procedure was implemented. Unconfined Compressive Strength (USC) values on natural soil and treated soil with Portland cement type 1 admixture were measured and compared during laboratory experiments. Soft clay soils were stabilized with varying percentages of Portland cement type 1 with the proportions of approximately 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5%, 6%, 7%, and 10% by dry weight of soil during a 7-days curing period. Laboratory testing were performed in compliance with Indonesian National Standard (SNI): SNI 3420-2008 for testing Unconfined Compressive Strength. According to the results of laboratory testing, the UCS values increased roughly from 0.634 kg/cm2 (undisturbed natural soil) to 2.832 kg/cm2 (treated soil) by adding 3% of Portland cement type 1, and up to 8,024 kg/cm2 (treated soil) by adding 10% of Portland cement type 1. Based on the findings, it can be demonstrated that Portland cement type 1 can enhance clay soil's properties used as a subgrade for road construction, can create more stable road conditions, and can ultimately meet the technical feasibility requirements for the subgrade carrying capacity, particularly at the Sawah Lunto - Talawi road segment (STA 139 + 700 m).

Abstract

In the era of rapid infrastructure development in Indonesia, the efficiency of road planning has become crucial in optimizing the utilization of regional budgets. This study compares two flexible pavement design methods: the newly introduced Pavement Design Manual (MDP) 2024 and the long-established Component Analysis Method, focusing on district roads in Lunang Subdistrict. The results of this study demonstrate that MDP 2024 not only produces a pavement design that is 4% thinner but also potentially reduces the budget by up to 9%. Detailed analysis reveals that the estimated cost required for a 3.1 km road pavement using the Component Analysis Method is IDR 9,162,006,089, while MDP 2024 requires only IDR 8,277,185,847, resulting in a substantial saving of IDR 884,820,242. These findings present significant opportunities for local governments to reallocate funds to other critical sectors without compromising infrastructure quality. Beyond a mere technical comparison, this research offers a blueprint for transformation in regional development planning, promising long-term positive impacts on the local economy and quality of life. With broad potential for application throughout Indonesia, this study is relevant not only to planners and engineers but also to policymakers and the general public concerned with sustainable development and public budget efficiency.

Abstract

This program aims to introduce the benefits of science and technology to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Nagari Muaro Pingai due to the limited market share and need for more awareness of products produced by these MSMEs. Through this digitalization work program, the community service team from Universitas Andalas assisted five MSME entrepreneurs by strengthening their business branding, providing financial assistance, and digital promotion. The methods employed include direct data collection, interview surveys, and providing training directly to the community. The financial assistance included mobile phones to help them digitize their businesses. The outcomes of those MSME's digitalization work programs included business logos, promotional brochures, and business location registration on the Google Maps platform. The community engagement activities further expanded market reach, increased income, and simplified transaction processes for MSME entrepreneurs in Nagari Muaro Pingai.
