Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the types of dung beetles that live in the Bukit Mangkol conservation forest area, Bangka Islands have done. This research uses a descriptive method. Data retrieval is done using the Baited Pitfall Trap technique using bait in the form of cow feces and hand collecting. Data collection is carried out at several elevation points based on the type of vegetation (100, 200, 300 and 400 masl). The results of this study found 76 individual dung beetles consisting of eight species, two genera, two tribus and two subfamilies. Dung beetles found include Onthophagus gazella, Onthophagus productus, Polyphemi Onthophagus, Onthophagus sp. 1, Onthophagus sp. 2, Onthophagus sp. 3, Onthophagus sp. 4 and Serica sp. 1. The results of the analysis of the characteristics of dung beetle communities in the Bukit Mangkol conservation forest area were based on the community diversity index of 1.93, the species richness index was 1.62 and the evenness index was 0.93. Based on the results of the analysis, the diversity of dung beetle communities in the Bukit Mangkol conservation forest area is moderate, with a low species richness of dung beetles and evenly distributed species without the dominance of one type of dung beetle. The results of this study are expected to provide additional information on the types of dung beetles and as biology enrichment material for class X senior high school in Basic Competence 3.2 Analyzing various levels of biodiversity in Indonesia along with their threats and preservation.Keywords: Dung beetle, Scarabaeidae and Cow Fece ABSTRAKPenelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis kumbang tinja yang hidup di kawasan hutan konservasi Bukit Mangkol Kepulauan Bangka telah dilakukan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Pengambilan data digunakan teknik Baited Pitfall Trap menggunakan umpan berupa tinja sapi serta hand collecting. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada beberapa titik ketinggian berdasarkan jenis vegetasinya (100, 200, 300 dan 400 mdpl). Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan 76 individu kumbang tinja yang terdiri dari delapan spesies, dua genus, dua tribus dan dua subfamili. Jenis kumbang tinja yang ditemukan antara lain Onthophagus gazella, Onthophagus productus, Onthophagus polyphemi, Onthophagus sp.1, Onthophagus sp.2, Onthophagus sp.3, Onthophagus sp.4 dan Serica sp.1. Hasil analisis karakteristik komunitas sebagai berikut: nilai indeks keanekaragaman komunitas sebesar 1,93, indeks kekayaan jenis sebesar 1,62 dan indeks kemerataan jenis 0,93. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut, maka keanekaragaman komunitas kumbang tinja di Kawasan Hutan Konservasi Bukit Mangkol tergolong sedang, dengan kekayaan jenis kumbang tinja yang rendah dan kemerataan jenis yang merata tanpa ada dominansi salah satu jenis kumbang tinja. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi tambahan mengenai jenis kumbang tinja dan sebagai materi pengayaan Biologi SMA Kelas X pada Kompetensi Dasar 3.2 Menganalisis berbagai tingkat keanekaragaman hayati di Indonesia beserta ancaman dan pelestariannya.Kata kunci: Kumbang tinja, Scarabaeidae dan Tinja Sapi

Abstract

Abstrak: Faktor alam dan lingkungan dapat mempengaruhi pola keberadaan semut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pola keberadaan semut tanah di area permukiman tepian Sungai Musi Kecamatan Gandus Palembang. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriftif.Stasiun penelitian meliputi rumah, tepi sungai, semak, butan dan kebun. Pengambilan contoh sampel semut menggunakan metode hand collecting dan perangkap umpan (baited trap).Hasil penelitian semut tanah Solenopsis germinata dan Paratrechina longicornis hampir ditemukan disemua stasiun.Spesies semut yang paling sedikit ditemukan, yaitu Diacamma intricatum danPheidole megacephala. Rumah kurang dari 100 m dari tepi sungai Musi ditemukan tiga spesies semut, yaitu dua dari subsuku Myrmicinae dan satu dari Formicinae (S. germinata, P. megacephala dan P. longicornis). Ketiga spesies ini sama dengan yang ditemakan pada semak-semak.  Lokasi yang berjarak 100-200 m dari tepi sungai memiliki komposisi dan keanekaragaman semut yang semakin meningkat. Stasiun rumah ditemukan sebanyak tiga spesies, yaitu S. germinata, Pheidole sp, dan P. longicornis. Stasiun semakditemukantiga jenis semut, yaitu S. Germinate, Monomorium pharaonisdan T. melanocephalum. Stasiun kebun ditemukan empat spesies, yaitu: Acanthomyrmex sp., S. germinata, P. longicornis, danCamponotus ligniperda.Stasiun hutan ditemukan enam spesies yaitu: Acanthomyrmex sp., S. germinata, P.longicornis, Camponotus ligniperda danDiacamma intricatum. Jumlah jenis semut yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah di stasiun hutan. Pola keberadaan semut di berbagai lokasi tepian sungai Musi Gandus Palembang memiliki pola fluktuasi jumlah dan jenisnya.Kata kunci: semut tanah, pola keberadaan, sungai Musi danPalembangAbstract: The natural and environmental factors can affect the pattern of ants. This study aims to study the pattern of the presence of soil ants in the settlement area of the banks of the Musi River, Gandus, Palembang. This research method is descriptive. The research station includes houses, river banks, bushes, butane and gardens. The sampling ant samples using the method of hand collecting and baited traps. The results of research on the ground ants Solenopsis germinata and Paratrechina longicornis are found in almost all of stations. The fewest ant species found were Diacamma intricatum and Pheidole megacephala. The houses less than 100 m from the banks of the Musi river are found by three ant species, namely two from the Myrmicinae sub-tribe and one from Formicinae (S. germinata, P. megacephala and P. longicornis). These three species are the same as those found in bushes. The location which is 100-200 m from the river bank has an ant composition and diversity that is increasing. The housestations were found as many as three species, namely S. germinata, Pheidole sp, and P. longicornis. The bush station found three types of ants, namely S. Germinate, Monomorium pharaonis and T. melanocephalum. The garden station found four species, namely: Acanthomyrmex sp., S. germinata, P. longicornis, and Camponotus ligniperda. The forest station found six species, namely: Acanthomyrmex sp., S. germinata, P.longicornis, Camponotus ligniperda and Diacamma intricatum. The number of ant species most commonly found is at the forest station. It can be concluded that the pattern of the presence of ants in various locations on the banks of the Palembang Gandus Musi river has a fluctuation in the number and type.Keywords: soil ants, existance pattern, Musi river, Palembang

Abstract

Urban development and population growth in the Palembang city, lowland swamps have been converted into swamps (SW) and land conversion (LC). Changes in habitat certainly have an impact on the composition, abundance, and diversity of the insect family of the Hymenoptera order. The purpose of writing this article is to inform the composition, abundance, and diversity of insect families of the Hymenoptera order in the SW and LC lands of Palembang city. This study used a survey method by exploring each research location four times. Determination of the research location using purposive sampling method with the reason to get different habitat conditions. The collection of insects is carried out in two ways, namely trapping and hands collecting. The results showed that 18 families of the Hymenoptera order, namely 4 to 7 families were found in SW land and 8 families were found in LC land. The number of individuals on SW land was 6,351 and on LC land was 2,297. The Apidae, Formicidae, Ichneumonidae, Platygastridae, Sphecidae, and Vespidae families are found in almost all fields. The total abundance index of the Hymenoptera order family in SW land (73.438%) was higher than the index of the total abundance of the Hymenoptera order family in the LC land (26.561%). The highest family abundance index was Formicidae, namely 65.101%, followed by the Vespidae family (26.237%) and the Apidae family (5.087%). The diversity index of the Hymenoptera order in the LC land had a higher value (2.741) than the diversity index in the SW field (2.165). The conclusion is that the composition of the insect family of the Hymenoptera order in LC land was higher than in SW land, but the number of individual insects in SW land was higher than in LC land. The abundance index of the Hymenoptera order in SW land was higher than that in LC land. The insect diversity index of the Hymenoptera order in LC land was higher than in SW land. It is recommended to research the role of various insect species from the Hymenoptera order in the SW land and LC land of the  Palembang city.

Abstract

Lebak swamp in Bukit Baru has been largely degraded due to reclamation activity. Lebak swamp plays important role as land resource in Bukit Baru, Palembang. The aim of this study was to examine the composition of Odonata in lebak swamps in Bukit Baru, Palembang, Indonesia. The transect line (1 km) was used to collect odonata in the study area. This study recorded 8 species during the study period. The highest diversity of odonata was found in site A1. The highest abundance of odonata was recorded at site A2 and A4 and dominated by Ceriagrion coromandelianum and Orthetrum sabina. Neurothemis ramburii had the lowest abund  ance at site A1 and A2, but absent at site A3 and A4. The occurrence of odonate species are lower at site around anthropogenic activity suggests the need to protect the lebak swamp so that such uncommon species will not go into local extinction. Neurothemis ramburii can become potential species to evaluate the rate of disturbed environment.

Abstract

Bees are known to be useful directly or indirectly in human life and ecosystem. This study aims to obtain information about the types of Trigona bees in three different habitats in South Sumatra. This research uses a descriptive method with a purposive sampling technique. Identification is done by observing the morphological characters. Trigona bee samples were taken from three different habitats, namely the Indralaya Sriwijaya University campus, the village of Aurduri Muara Enim, and the village of Kota Agung Lahat. The research found three species of Trigona bees from three different habitats. The three species are from three subgenera, namely Tetragonula, Heterotrigona, and Lepidotrigona. The location of the habitat for the Indralaya Sriwijaya University campus was found Tetragonula laeviceps, and Heterotrigona itama. The habitat of the village of Aurduri Muara Enim was found  T. laeviceps and Lepidotrigona terminate. The location of the habitat for the village of Kota Agung Lahat was found  T. laeviceps. The most common type of Trigona bee and found in almost every type of habitat is T. laeviceps. H. itama is only found on the Indralaya Sriwijaya university campus, while L. Terminate is only found in the village of Aurduri Muara Enim. Conclusion Trigona bees from 3 different habitats in South Sumatra found as many as 3 subgenuses, namely Tetragonula, Heterotrigona, and Lepidotrigona. The types of Trigona bees are T. laeviceps, H.itama, and L. terminata.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to discuss about purun woven from Tanjung Atap village which is a hereditary heritage in the Tanjung Atap village community. The method used in this research is qualitative research. The result of this research is that purun weaving has existed since ancient times and continues to be preserved by being taught from generation to generation. This purun weaving activity has been attached to the daily activities of the residents of Tanjung Atap village. This is evidenced by the existence of purun woven in the village of Tanjung Atap. Once during the monetary crisis and the sale of webbing was difficult, the craftsmen switched to other jobs. However, purun weaving is still done on the sidelines of free time. Along with the times, purun woven products were originally only in the form of mats, now purun woven products have varied from bags, wallets, laptop bags, trash cans, slippers, and many more. This happened because of the guidance given to 20 residents of Tanjung purun village to be creative with purun woven, this coaching was led by Mrs. Karyani in collaboration with Sriwijaya University. Abstract

 Masa pandemi covid-19, membuat para guru harus lebih ekstra melakukan proses pembelajaran tanpa tatap muka. Demi mencapai tujuan pembelajaran, tentu mata pelajaran yang memuat praktikum menjadi lebih sulit dilakukan di masa ini. Selain itu, kondisi keterbatasan alat dan bahan yang tersedia di Lab Sekolah, ikut menyumbang kurangnya keberhasilan  kegiatan praktikum sehingga menyebabkan kurangnya ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran. Oleh sebab itu, diadakannya kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan secara lebih mendalam kepada guru terkait keterampilan mengembangkan aplikasi Virtual laboratory lewat software PhET Simulations. Metode dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini meliputi 3 tahapan yakni perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan diawali dengan ceramah mengenai pengenalan software PhET dan Virtual laboratory, serta pendampingan penggunaan PhET Simulations untuk membantu pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPA. Diharapkan bahwa kegiatan ini dapat membantu guru dan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran dan mencapai tujuan pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

Tujuanditulisnyaartikeliniuntukmengetahui eksistensi ngidang di Kota Palembang. Tradisingidang ini merupakan warisan budaya yang biasa dilakukan pada saat acara sedekah atau kedurian. Data yang disajikandiperolehdengancara observasi lapangan, wawancara, dan kajianliteratur.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode historis dan data yang terkumpuldianalisisdenganmenggunakan pendekatansosiologi. Ngidangadalahsuatutradisikhas yang berkembang di masyarakat Palembang mengenaipenyajianmakanan yang sudah berkembang sejak masa kesultanan. Namun, keberadaannya kini semakin sulit untuk ditemukan karena kebutuhan masyarakat akan kepraktisan membuat tradisi ini mulai tergeser oleh budaya prancisan atau prasmanan yang telah berkembang sejak tahun 90-an. Sehingga, saat ini hanya sedikit wilayah di Palembang yang masih menerapkan tradisi ini dengan baik seperti wilayah-wilayah yang berada dipedesaan.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Virtual merupakan perubahan sistem pembelajaran yang terdampak karena pandemi Covid-19. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan sarana berupa media elektronik  untuk memfasilitasi kondisi tersebut. Peningkatan kualitas kompetensi guru sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran terutama pada pelaksanaan  kegiatan pembelajaran di masa pandemi. Oleh sebab itu, diharapkan melalui pelatihan terkait pembelajaran daring, maka diharapkan juga guru akan mampu mengembangkan kompetensi dalam pemanfaatan google class room sebagai media pembelajaran daring. Model kegiatan yang akan dilaksanakan yaitu model pendampingan yang ditujukan kepada guru IPA kota Palembang. Metode yang ditempuh dalam kegiatan ini meliputi presentasi materi dan praktik penggunaan google classroom dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring. Berdasarkan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan ini peserta pelatihan yaitu guru – guru MGMP IPA Kota Palembang dapat meningkatkan kompetensi mereka dalam upaya merancang pembelajaran daring berbasis google classroom. Melalui pelatihan ini, guru – guru lebih memahami fungsi fitur – fitur yang terdapat dalam google classroom. Dengan demikian guru – guru dapat mengoptimalisasi penerapan google classroom dalam proses pembelajaran daring.

Abstract

Istana Adat Kesultanan Palembang Darussalam dibangun sebagai salah satu upaya dalam melestarikan memori kolektif Kesultanan Palembang Darussalam. Tetapi, keberadaan Istana Adat Kesultanan Palembang Darussalam masih kurang diketahui oleh masyarakat luas. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah, penulis mengumpulan sumber sejarah melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi kepustakaan, menguji atau menilai sumber tersebut secara kritis, serta disajikan hasil yang pada umumnya berbentuk tulis dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif menekankan pemahaman mengenai topik yang akan diteliti berdasarkan kondisi realitas. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan penulis dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa eksistensi dari Istana Adat Kesultanan Palembang Darussalam sebagai wadah pelestarian adat budaya Palembang masih dapat terlihat. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dengan terdapat kunjungan- kunjungan serta kegiatan-kegiatan baik internal maupun eksternal yang diselenggarakan.
