Abstract

AbstractThe aims of this study are to explore the mediating impact of job satisfaction on job skills, characteristics and employee performance. Methodological design of a questionnaire answered by 157 employees working at PT. Mighty harvest facility with SEM PLS data analysis. The research results show that the relationship between individual characteristics and employee performance is positive and significant. The relationship between individual characteristics and job satisfaction shows that it is significantly positive. Job crafting on employee performance is negative, indicating that the relationship between crafting and employee performance has a small influence. There is a positive and significant relationship between job crafting and job satisfaction. Job satisfaction with employee performance shows that it has a significant positive relationship. Practical implications Companies can shape organizational culture and increase employee job satisfaction in general. Furthermore, this research enriches the organizational behavior literature by recognizing and empirically validating the role of individual characteristics, employee involvement in improving performance. The originality of the findings of this research can help in creating a better understanding of job satisfaction and describe its relationship with leadership character.Keywords: Individual Characteristics, Job Crafting, Job Satisfaction, Employee Performance.Abstrak Tujuan - tujuan dari study ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi dampak mediasi kepusan kerja terhadap kerajinan kerja, caracteristik, kinerja karyawan. Desain metodologi sebuah kuesioner dijawab oleh 157 karyawan yang bekerja di PT. sarana panen perkasa dengan analisis data SEM PLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan antara individual caracteristic dan employee performance positif dan signifikan. Adanya hubungan Individual caracteristic terhadap job satisfaction menunjukkan bahwa positif signifikan. Job crafting terhadap employe performance artinya negatif yang menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara crafting dan employee performance memiliki pengaruh kecil. Adanya hubungan Job crafting terhadap job satisfaction yang positif dan signifikan. Job satisfaction terhadap employee performance menunjukkan bahwa memiliki hubungan positif signifikan. Implikasi praktis Perusahaan dapat membentuk budaya organisasi dan meningkatkan kepuasan kerja karyawannya secara umum. Lebih lanjut, penelitian ini memperkaya literatur perilaku organisasi dengan mengenali dan memvalidasi secara empiris peran individual caracteristic, keterlibatan karyawan dalam meningkatkan kinerja. Orisinalitas temuan penelitian ini dapat membantu dalam menciptakan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang kepuasan kerja dan menggambarkan hubungannya dengan karakterkepemimpinan.Kata Kunci: Individual Karakteristik, Job Crafting, Job Satisfaction, Employe Performance.

Abstract

The Qur'an and Sunnah are the main sources of Islamic law. Islamic law is not only limited as a human abstraction of the reality of society in the occurrence of social order for humans themselves, but rather God's rules for humans. The device to be able to withdraw the law and legal sources is called ijtihad. Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala has revealed the Qur'an in Arabic, as well as the Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam understood, practiced and gave explanations using Arabic. Thus, one of the most important tools of ijtihad is the rule of law. Related to the economy in the development of science and technology, in the modern era there has been a shift in terms of the form and model of transactions in the financial sector. One side of this change can be seen from the emergence of digital transactions. The development of science and technology has caused several changes in the models and forms of transactions that occur today. These include the presence of bank and non-bank financial institutions, stock exchanges, Islamic financial products, digital transactions and so on. As agreed by the scholars that the Koran and the Sunnah are the main sources of Islamic law. On the other hand, the Quran was revealed in Arabic and its explanations are in Arabic. So one of the important tools that must be mastered by a reviewer of Islamic law is the mastery of the rules of the Arabic language.

Abstract

Purpose — This study investigates and evaluates the direct or indirect effects of leader-member exchange on work engagement and job satisfaction on employee performance.Methodology — This study adopts a causal approach, examining causal relationships between variables. It involved 200 employees from a Pharmaceutical Company in Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia, with a sample size of 197 employees. Questionnaires were employed in this study's data collection process. Smartpls (Partial Least Squares) 3.0 software was utilised for structural equation modelling in statistical analysis.Findings — The findings of this study reveal that direct leader-member exchange, work engagement, and job satisfaction significantly affect employee performance. Leader-member exchange significantly affects performance through work engagement and employee job satisfaction at the Pharmaceutical Company in Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia.Originality/Novelty — This study's novelty highlights the mediating role of work engagement and job satisfaction in the relationship between Leader-Member Exchange (LMX) and employee Performance improvement, providing new insights into such psychological mechanisms.Implications — This research provides information for the Pharmaceutical Company in Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia, and related parties to improve employee performance by increasing job satisfaction and work engagement and improving existing leadership to provide employee comfort.
