Abstract

The design of a rainfall intensity measuring device utilizing an Internet of Things (IoT)-based microcontroller aims to offer a more precise, efficient, and real-time solution for rainfall measurement compared to the traditional manual systems. While manual systems are still commonly used, they have significant limitations, including reliance on human observation, slow response times, and measurement inaccuracies. In this study, the designed tool incorporates a tipping bucket rain sensor connected to an ESP32 or ESP8266 microcontroller and a Wi-Fi module to transmit real-time data to a cloud-based IoT platform. The collected data is processed and visualized through graphs accessible via web or mobile applications. This system facilitates continuous rainfall monitoring and provides fast, accurate information that can be applied to disaster mitigation, agricultural planning, and natural resource management. By leveraging IoT technology, this system addresses the shortcomings of manual methods, offering considerable benefits for more timely and data-driven decision-making.

Abstract

Performance data collection is directed at obtaining accurate, complete, timely and consistent performance data that is useful for decision making in order to improve the performance of Government agencies without abandoning the principles of balancing costs and benefits, efficiency and effectiveness. Kuantan Singingi Regency Manpower Office, so far the reporting and data recapitulation process has been carried out manually using the Microsoft Office application. This has resulted in frequent data overlaps and difficulty in reporting performance data. Therefore, an information system for the realization and performance achievements of the Kuantan Regency Manpower Office is needed. singing becomes more effective and efficient.

Abstract

Internet dibutuhkan disetiap bidang. Salah satunya yaitu bidang pemerintahan, bidang industry, bidang Kesehatan maupun bidang Pendidikan. Universitas Islam Kuantan Singingi menggunakan fasilitas internet sebagai penunjang sarana dan prasarana dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisa QOS jaringan internet pada Fakultas Teknik di Universitas Kuantan Singingi yang telah ada dengan menggunakan parameter (throughput, delay, packet loss, dan jitter). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif[1]. Metode penelitian kuantitatif dipilih dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis berdasarkan data angka dari kualitas jaringan wireless yang ada pada Gedung Fakultas Teknik di Universitas Islam Kuantan Singingi dengan menggunakan bantuan aplikasi wireshark 4.0.3 dilakukan untuk melihat kualitas dan performa layanan internet berdasarkan parameter jaringan komputer[2]. Dari Hasil pengukuran (QOS) didapatkan hasil Throughput 69 Kbps dengan kategori “Bagus” dengan nilai indeks 3. Packet Loss 0,1 % dengan kategori “Sangat Bagus” dengan nilai indeks 4. Delay 361 ms dengan kategori “Sedang” dengan nilai indeks 2. Jitter 360 ms dengan kategori “Buruk” Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan menurut standar QOS TIPHON jaringan internet di Fakultas Teknik Universitas Islam Kuantan Singingi didapatkan hasil 2,5 dengan kategori “Sedang”[3]. Dengan peningkatan kapasitas bandwidth akan meningkatkan kecepatan akses internet yang ada di Fakultas Teknik dan menjadi sangat bagus menurut standar QOS TIPHON.

Abstract

Internal Quality Audit (AMI) is an integral part of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) for Higher Education (Dikti), aimed at evaluating the implementation of Dikti standards. AMI plays a crucial role in examining the compliance with Dikti standards during their implementation phase. The AMI system encompasses numerous processes, including desk evaluation, visitations, requests for corrective actions, and documentation. Moreover, AMI activities ideally should be conducted annually for every Unit at Islamic University of Kuantan Singingi. Due to the limited number of auditors, it is necessary to develop an information system that enables easier monitoring and decision-making processes. This will ensure efficient and sustainable management. The unstructured archiving of audit results increases the risk of data loss and complicates information access. To address this issue, it is necessary to develop an information system using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach, which involves four major phases: planning, analysis, design, and implementation. The AMI system developed aims to support the AMI process in higher education institutions, especially at Islamic University of Kuantan Singingi (UNIKS). Before the implementation of the information system, several challenges were faced, such as difficulties in quickly obtaining information related to quality improvements for each unit periodically. This research produced a design for an information system that integrates various AMI requirements, including scheduling, self-assessment (desk evaluation) by the institution, visitations, corrective actions, and reporting.
